So the both of them hide how they feel, simply to try and keep each other alive. From Papyrus's stand point,it also could be that he treats sans the way he does because he wants him to be more active ,to be more careful,to be stronger (even though he most likely doesn't know how strong Sans is) because he doesn't want to lose Sans, especially considering that Sans has one HP (at least as far as I remember) one slip and he's dust,he'd rather Sans hate him then for Sans to die. As for Sans,he loves his brother,maybe he lets Papyrus treat him like that because he wants to humor him,maybe because he doesn't want papyrus to know how strong he actually is,he wants to protect his brother after all. In the end, they're siblings who love each other a lot,but they can't show it because of the world they live in. It's all beautifully tragic.

I love the subtle nod towards Red being the one to give Edge his scars and the fact the bros care for each other like they do in the actual AU (unlike Scoundrel) but in the fellverses love is weak and can be used against you so the fells need to pretend but along the way they forgot they were acting. Wow, this is amazing. From my view point, Frisk didn't kill and reset, Papyrus's death was a imagination of Sans due to his fear. They were Gaster's experimental objects. Sans loves his brother, he just didn't how to express it. There was a wall between them. And then they had a fight, thanks for it, the skelebros finally said their true feeling. It really suits for Underfell.

これ見てると泣けてくる。どれだけマスタードがエッジを大切に思っていたのかがじわじわ伝わってくる良い作品。自分が守ってきたけれどいつか守られる方になってしまっていた。それにより最愛の弟を無くしてしまった。最後のシーンでは鍋の穴を塞ぎ肉やスープを作りハッピーエンドだがそれはあくまでもリセット後の世界。たとえ穴が塞がれたとしても穴があった事実は消えない。もしリセット前の世界がまだあるとするのならば鍋は底が抜けているのだろう。どんなにスープを作ろうとも、涙を流して気持ちを洗い流そうともその鍋は満たされない。そして違う鍋の底を取り付けようにも無くなった底の形が歪すぎてはまらない。そしてその穴を塞げないまま鍋はどんどん壊れていくのだろう。どうせいつかは壊れる鍋。そんな物なら自ら壊してしまおう。そんな思いがもしかしたらマスタードには芽生え始めているのかも知れない。いつか、鍋の穴も含めその事実を完璧だと思える日が来たのならそれは彼らにとって本当のハッピーエンドだろう。
