- This low buy year 2021 has come to an end and I want to show you everything I bought this year as a minimalist. of course, all our lives look different so there is no one way to do it right but I thought this can be an inspiration to consume mindfully and intentionally in 2022.

My best ever purchase was my son’s $300 steel toed work boots. All my irritation fled the next morning when, on his way to school, he was push starting his truck( because he’s too cheap to buy a flywheel at the junk yard), and ran over his foot. He had ripped off the leather, but was unhurt. It took seven years, wearing them daily, dropping vehicle parts, walking through garage gunk, and winter weather, before I took pity on him, because my feet hurt looking at his, that I bought him a new pair. The total cost was 7 cents a day!
That olive colored sweater is very pretty, and simple. I think you’re going to wear it a lot.
My all time favorite tax was when I purchased a box of crochet thread from a military wife living on a US base (so, our property) and I was charged customs duty… for an item very clearly labeled, with its original sales slip, as originating in the USA. Because it was 2nd hand, and had not been transferred or sold from another country, I shouldn’t have been charged. But I really wanted the thread. I paid. It’s nutty, what some countries tax and others don’t.

I get so inspired watching these videos because I have zero self control and even if I don’t need something but it’s on sale I feel like I have to buy it (even when it’s not on sale tbh lol) 😩 as of Jan 2022 I’m going to try my best to only buy things I NEED not want and hope to make a similar video this time next year and be proud of myself ☺️🤍

2022 I’m focusing on decluttering a few things each month and working on a low buy year. I’m pretty tired of things
This year has been tricky, as far as buying things (especially clothes) is concerned. 1. I put on some weight and 2. I changed during lockdown, and found this change to mean that I did not like the clothes I had anymore. I hope/plan to do better in 2022. Your content centrainly helps. So, thank you, Lia :)

Hi! I just wanted to say I really do appreciate the videos you post. A lot of the things you talk about I’ve tried implementing in my own life, and I can genuinely say they’ve really helped for the better. I’m starting a challenge for myself this upcoming year not buy to any unneeded clothing + general items I might have accumulated before, and I can say I’ll keep the tricks you mention in this video in mind on my way. Anyways, thank you for all that you do and happy new year!
I`m going to try to stay in a buget instead of a set amound of items. At the end of 2022 i hope to reflect on how much i spend and on what so i have an idea if i spend to much or too little on things that matter to me. Also focusing on choosing things and staying consistent. For exemple with hobbies ( I picked a view for this year). It is also a trick for me to stick with my criteria: it has to be simple else i know i wont do it, it fills i need that i have, for exemple relaxation and passtime at home, no aditional cost, once i have it i don`t need to make more purchages. For some hobby`s you might need to limit yourself. If you know you knit 3 sweathers a month, just buy for 3 sweathers. This way you get to buy your fu aka wool every month but it stays in use. For me its a singing bowl and im thinking about adding an extra hobby: making crystal bracelets.
Thank you very much about this video, it made me thought a lot about the purchases I made this year and how many of them I regret buying and spending money on it. It’s the first time I ever thought about this with so much determination, I really want to change but I didn’t knew I was doing impulsive buying! next year will be different.

I kind of want to do a low-buy next year, but I know it'll be hard because I will be moving in the summer. But I think I will try this year! Also, your hair growing out a little looks very cute!
