Seeing OBGYN on your scrubs is still so surreal! Could genuinely not be happier and more proud
So I like being part of the herd. Don't stop making videos.
You seem so happy! love to see it
I am so proud of how far you’ve come! Been watching you for years this is so awesome to see
I love you Rachel, and I love your content ❤. Thank you for being an awesome human being 💓
Recent fellowship grad over here taking a study break from my last boards in my medical career 😱 Been tuning in since I was in senior year of residency and you are such an inspiration! Glad to see you are happy and thriving! Best of luck to you in residency!!
I'm a PA in a surgical trauma ICU (level one, academic center) and I've unfortunately taken care of the crash trauma C-sections. very cool to hear about it from the OB perspective.
Can’t wait to watch your residency journey! You are so beautiful btw!❤
Seeing you this excited makes me more excited for my career journey.
You are glooooowing!!! ❤
Really love your videos. I'm an older student getting my bsn. I'm in love with labor and delivery so I hope to make that my specialty.
I normally watch you on my tv lol! I was watching some old vlogs and LOVE the French tip nails 💅🏽 so I got them done the same way earlier today !!😊
Started following you during my first year medicine, you were one of safe space during pandemic and while taking up second year, followed you thru your USMLE journey up until now, Congratulations!!☺️ in 10 days will be commencing my medical school journey too, you are an inspiration Dr. Rachel!
Excited for ya!
I had the IUD but it fell out lol nurse was surprised with that, she asked if it hurt but it didn’t. We then started talking about birth control pills and Ive been on Mirvala 28 since 2017. The reason I took them is because I had heavy bleeding monthly. 😢 so painful, but now it’s been better, it’s lighter and have some pain still but not as bad as before the birth control. 😊
I love coming across a new UA-camr and becoming obsessed!!! Yess now binge watching your channel
So cool to see the implanon being put in. I loved it but started bleeding non-stop after 2 years. Had it removed but it had fused with the skin which resulted in a bit of a blood bath. Still, loved it and really hope that the system has improved.
So excited for you!
Hi Rachel good morning happy Sunday morning and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter and I'm proud of you
Watching this two weeks before my residency orientation! Yay! Thanks for this vlog!
Can you do a video on attire? What is expected to be worn to med school, rotations, meetings at the hospital, to the hospital? Is their specific colors or clothes they need to be worn? Also what about tattoos and piercings?
Looking forward to watching this
so cool to see how the nexplanon is done! I just got my old one taken out and a new one put in. I couldn’t watch my doctor do it in the moment because it would have made me feel nauseas buts it’s cool to see afterward 😂
Amazing video as always🥰
I love watching you progress in your career!
You are radiating happiness and it’s so inspirational!! I’m not going into medicine but I look forward to watching your journey continue every week. I’m excited for L&D vlogs especially! 😋 best of luck, you got this Doc!
Proud of you
Looks like Florida ! So beautiful. Thank you for your video :)
Awesome vlog 🫶
Love your scrubs! ❤
12 days straight :O Good luck!
Oh snap was that a soft launch of boo thang? 👀
👁️👁️
I was wondering lol
Stay away from my future wife... #futureneuroleader
That’s my choice for birth control - its been super awesome after I had a couple disastrous experiences with IUDs (extremely painful insertions to the point I almost passed out! - just a consequence of my anatomy.)
I work at Cerner! I lead the team of the designers building out the charting and documentation part of the system - you’ll be using our handiwork daily. :) Feel free to vent your frustration with the system as you learn it in my direction - we always love to hear what clinicians think - it makes us design better solutions for you!
i would love some more content on plants ❤
You look so happy! I'm thrilled for you. Did you get a new car?
So excited for the 12 days straight lmaoo
Link the scrubs! I like that style :) Haven't seen that logo before though that's on the sleeve. I know fabletics and Figs make similar cap sleeve style scrubs.
In the building watching from Barbados 😎😎😎
Rachel , I’ve been binge watching your old videos. It breaks my heart to see you have imposter syndrome or not believe in yourself as much , I hope this has changed. I saw you watching the Wizard Liz and that makes me so happy. I don’t want you to not believe in yourself or have a low sense of self. You are worthy of the best. I hope you never stay with a partner who isn’t treating you properly or taking advantage of you. Misogyny is prevalent in every facet of our society. There are studies that show a wage gap even when it comes to physicians, there was a study that found in a heterosexual relationship , men brought on 7 MORE hours of housework to all the house work that already needed to be done , lack of maternity leave in this country , how women have insane expectations in our society (for example mothers expected to snap back after birth and look the same while the “dad bod” is praised and seen as attractive even though they never actually birthed a baby), how women have been conditioned to be responsible for the behavior of men (for example , you shouldn’t have worn that or if didn’t happen or articles about divorce because of women paying more attention to their children or household duties etc ). Anyway , I’m saying all of this to tell you to demand more from men in your life, never ever lower your standards , there’s a man out there with an awesome job who will treat you so well and pay his share. I don’t want you to be treated bad :/ or settle for less than you’re worth. That’s all.
you're doing a bit too much
In the building waiting from Barbados 😎😎😎
I passed nursing board and is officially hi I’m molly I’m going to be your nurse
omg HARD LAUNCH on the main channel!? 🥰

Hey Racheal !!! May you please give us some tips on how you master the hard medical terms 😂
Rachel points at Rafiki. My brain: "Look beyond what you see" (in deep yoga pose)
That was freaky at 2:17! ❤

Hmmmmm?😉
Me too so curieuse , i respect Rachel personnel life but i really want to Know 😅
I’m curious to know how your residency program works. At the hospital I work at (aim an L+D Nurse) residents do 6 week blocks rotations on every rotation. It seems like y’all have it a little differently.
Can you explain the differences between the USMLE and the Comlex? Do you have to take both? What is the Comlex 3 ?
comlex is the liscencing exam for DOs, while the USMLE is the liscencing exam for MDs. both comlex and usmle are broken into 3 parts, step/level 1, 2, and 3. As a DO you don't have to take both series but most students decide to take both to increase their competitiveness when applying for residency/fellowship. rachel took both for the first two parts of comlex/usmle for applying to residency but she said she's not interested in fellowship so she will only be taking comlex for level/step 3
Thanks for writing this out!
Random question: How do you keep your teeth looking this nice and white while drinking coffee regularly?
I think it’s genetic. Cause I don’t whiten my teeth hardly ever
did you take both COMLEX and USMLE for your other boards?
Yes!
(FYI at 9:16 your program name is showing! I know privacy is important so just wanted to let you know)
Thank you! Yeah :/ I noticed. Oh well. I appreciate ya for lookin out
Did you take Complex and usmle in medical school?
Yes! Step 1&2 and level 1&2 in med school.
So after step 3 do you take 8 hour oral and 8 hours written exam In OBGYN at the end of resdence
Somethin like that!
@@RachelSouthard is it more complicated than that is that why you said something like that
I don’t know the whole logistics yet
Is this your last COMLEX
Yes!
Was that a date!?????????
Soft launching the bf??? 👀
Nothin gets past y’all
you've got a tesla!?
Love all of this and you look so happy! but they are having you start by working 12 days in a row!!? That is not healthy 😭 I hate how normalized this is in medicine
When did she buy a tesla?
He better treat her good
Here for cat content.
