- First proper video from home (or what I may call it for now) and it’s a really good one in my opinion. I’m super excited to be making this change in content and direction of my UA-cam channel. I do hope you understand my intentions and the standpoint I’m at both physically and mentally, allowing myself to do so. Returning to exercise in a slow way, easing my way back the right way feels incredible. Despite wishing I would’ve let myself have a break sooner and get back into it like I do now, it’s better this way than never.

It’s funny. Lots of women complain about period symptoms. But when you lost it and fought hard to get it back because you know it matters, you are kind of happy about the symptoms.
For real! I get so thrilled every, single time I experience any symptoms. Guess it's because it's the best reminder I can get of my overall health :)

I recently got a gym membership with m uh husband and have been slowly increasing what I do for exercise. Its nice to see the new strength you've gained, and I absolutely loved the part with the sweat check lol. 😅

I just tried your workout at the gym this morning! What a great challenge-I was shaking by the end of it. I am a runner who has been resistant (pun intended) to strength training for a long time. I've been taking it more seriously for the past year, and it felt good to shake things up today! I have been following your story for several months now because I share some of your experiences. It was cool step in your shoes in this capacity, too.
My goal for the past few months has to been to keep my running powerful and injury-free by getting more into strength training-all while still holding myself accountable and honest in my reasons for exercising (like, am I in the business of building up or tearing down? Will my trajectory truly help me run up mountains the rest of my life?). It's so exciting to see that you're ready to find joy in movement again. I know compulsive exercise is a tough beast to conquer. I know for me, years after committing to recovery, there are still days and weeks when it tries to take over. Please stay honest with yourself and committed to life. You are such a precious thing! You have so many beautiful things to see in your life! Mountains and long dirt roads and sandy beaches to run on! Keep channeling that awesome tenacity and discipline that's inside of you into taking care of sweet Katharina.

GYM - Good moves Katharina! - Everyone goes to the gym for their own individual reasons - for me it's about maintaining strength, it signals the end of the working week and a couple of hours of undisrupted time that's just for me. I get to be sociable with random folks of both genders and all ages which is healthy too! These are good reasons, you have good reasons - as long as the reasons are good - great stuff! 👍 - the jog -> stretch -> workout thing is good stuff too - definitely a good idea to develop good technique with just the bar before putting anything on it - how about some half-speed reps, fully controlled? 💪
TRAVEL - Concerning the travel thing - yeah, get it on! - as you get older life tends to involve a lot more responsibility: Mortgages, children, vulnerable older relatives etc. and the choices you can make tend to be restricted by that (I have carer responsibilities so, lots of restrictions - but I shall visit the meteor crater in Arizona one day for sure!). While you are young you may only have to consider your partner if you have one, after that it's all up to you! I have seen a youtube of a very joyful young western lady who lived in Tokyo, can't find her now so that's not very helpful 😁- but yeah, people do this!

So glad you that you found passion is some weightlifting stuff - maybe try to lay the barbell on your shoulders - so when you have some weight on there it won't slip off ;) I have to tell you that you don't look bloated AT ALL! You look really defined!- but I do know how you can feel like that sometimes even though others can't see it
*on your shoulders when you do overhead -stuff (like presses) :)

Why not add weights to squats/deadlifts
As mentioned in the video, I want to take things easy, slow and controlled as I get myself back into the gym. There is no need to push it and add extra weight in the beginning. I will do that progressively :)
