The Automatic Sarucca Demonstrated By Inventor Mark Simpson and Demonstrated at Crater of Diamonds

- Mark Simpson of Guide Rock, Nebraska, designed and built what he calls "The Automatic Sarucca." The principle works on the density of diamonds and is designed after the pattern of the much larger, African-Style, Rotary Wash Pans. It does not use any motor and is hand fed and hand driven by this father and son team. Please watch as he explains and demonstrates their proven, diamond-finding process. (p.s. Please notice another UA-camr, Solomon Baughman, has his tripod and camera set up in The Crater's West Drain in the background. Minutes after we finished filming this segment he discovered his largest of fifteen diamonds to date, a 21-point white diamond.)

Please forgive me. I just now saw your comment for the first time. Yes, they found diamonds with it. It does show a lot of ingenuity. That's why I asked them if I could make a video of them using their invention.

Anybody can use the faucet.
Yes, that hydrant and the one in the East Drain is for public use. If you bring a garden hose, it is also wise to bring a wye splitter in case someone else is already using it. That way you can let them continue using it while you hook into it as well. A lot of people do that.

No, and it was really short. Someone took it on their phone and posted it to Facebook. I will ask if they can re-post and will let you know if it is back up again.

Are you allowed to use oleophilic adhesion methods in the park to aid in diamond recovery?
@@djhal7961 You are allowed to use anything you can carry in and back out of the park except things that use a battery or are motorized.
