I turn on any of your 3-4 hour long star wars compilation videos and fall asleep to them. Not cuz you bore me to sleep or anything, because that's not it at all, just listening to you talk about star wars, being someone who loves star wars and loves all aspects of the Canon and legends like I do, is comforting. Feels like I'm listening to an audio book. So thanks for that theory. Your the man.
I think the only one that tops Darth Vader is the one that created him. Darth Sideous is a literal genius, and one of the most powerful sith and completely took over the galaxy not through literal power but deception and intellect.
@@OriginalDrGonzo I agree Palpatine is more evil and conniving than Vader, but Vader was ruthless, merciless, and relentless. Vader also did not sit behind the scenes like the emperor. He had far more combat experience and was probably feared far more than the emperor. All knew the power of merciless methods of Vader. While they revered and served the emperor, they feared and cowered before Vader. His appearance is also far more menacing and strong than the emperor. Had things been different, Vader could have become more powerful and taken the entire empire for himself. The ONLY thing that makes Vader less of a villain is his past as Anakin and his last moment redemption.
I think Vader is a fascinating character he is so complex. It's interesting that the dark side of the force can destroy someone and change them into this monster that he is, but there is still a spec of anakin left in him. The movies did a good job of showing this but the comics are able to flesh this out even more
@@cringedefender5264 we can only hope. It’s honestly quite a shame that there isn’t more screen time of Vader just being purely dominant. It’s what we want. It’s what we need.

Disney would never do a solo vader series, at least not one that'd do him justice. After seeing what they did to Boba, I'm sure they don't want any villains for protagonists of series.
I just finished this and this was your greatest masterpiece! You need to upload more videos like this for us casual fans who need to catch up. Thank you very much!
We need a lot more Vader while we are still fortunate enough to have the national treasure that is James Earl Jones. He is Vader, no one else can do the voice justice.
Just recently got into Star Wars as a 28 Year Old. I had seen all the movies once but that was it before. I found your channel and I absolutely love it! Thank You for all that you do. I'm about halfway through this video while writing and I've learned so much already.
... You had to include the Vader rising up on the table after his suit was completed. That and when Vader breathed as soon as his helmet was put on are my favorite from the prequels. They were simultaneously badass and heartbreaking. I love the OT, but I love the prequels also. Anakin/Vader is my favorite. The first 6 should collectively be called The Tragedy of Darth Vader imo.
Anakin and Vader story is just the true story of humanity. People are broken , feel pain , have been deceived and broken down to nothing , losing everything he ever loved or cared about , falling into a hate fuelled depression … yet at the end he redeems himself as he never truly gave up .
Hey I know I’m a little late but you should write a masters thesis on Vader. I think he Is such a complex character that is so important to film history and covered by so many writers you literally could! Much love for the channel
I am really enjoying these videos. It's great to have a comprehensive source of lore, and I also enjoy your personal views on the characters. My main comment is to the assertion that continuity was interrupted by Vader learning about Luke from Boba Fett. The original version of ESB makes a little more sense. If memory serves it was: There is a great disturbance in the Force I have felt it We have a new enemy. Luke Skywalker Yes, master Vader seems to have been aware of Luke and who he was. But even in the special edition, Vader seeming to be unaware may have simply been to mask his intentions. If he had learned of Luke then the idea of turning him and killing Palpatine may have already been on his mind.
Vader needs his own spin off show while james wal jones is still alive. There are so many great stories they could tell and that would be an amazing show to look forward to each week. Id love to see him hunting jedi down and destroying them among other things.
You are the man for making this. Thank you I’ve watched it several times and read the comics too and your videos are just as good. Thank you thank you!!
Man, it never gets brought up. But the 501st were never a stormtrooper legion. Even though they had the designation. They were still a clone legion all the way up to the fall of the empire. They only, always were comprised solely of Jango clones. Even years after the cloning facilities were shut down and the Jango template was lost. Vader would personally comb the lists of active members of the storm trooper corps to recoup losses to the 501st from surviving aged Jango clones. I don't know, maybe he saw a parallel between them and himself. Both were essentially regarded as pawns of the empire. Something to be wielded like a weapon until it broke or was no longer of use. Just funny in the starwars universe. That of all people, Darth Vader was the one who treated the clones more like people than many of the supposedly benevolent jedi had with their indoctrinated slave clone army.
So easy to watch and enjoy your videos! I'm glad your living your dream, your true love of Star Wars sets you above the rest. Your not professional, you are THE Master of Star Wars lore and theory 👏👌
