      Hi there, great video, very easy to understand. The discount code doesn't work.

    Mk4 also stimulates pancreatic beta cells. May be useful on diabetes.

    My understanding is MK-7 can be easily broken down (catabolized) by our body into the MK-4 form as MK-4 is just a shorter carbon chain. It does not work the other way around that MK-4 can be expanded to become MK-7 and there is likely no need since the body uses MK-4 for processes. That said, the MK-7 form is a much larger molecule so it stays in the bloodstream longer and that gives it more time to decalcify the arteries while MK-4 lasts just 10 hours in the blood. This is why MK-7 is supposed to be better.

      I think it more probable that the body doesn't use MK7 otherwise it would be absorbed quickly like MK4.

    Such a great explanation of the MK4 vs MK7 question. I have finally sourced an MK4 supplement.

    If human able to make MK4, then one should supplement MK7 only.

      MK7 is made and used by the microbiome. Eat fermented foods to feed them.

    Whenever I take MK4, after half an hour or an hour I hear clicks and noises from the bones, mainly in the shoulders and fingers.
    I don't know why it's like this but it shouldn't be like this. Maybe MK4 removes/redirects/cleans too much calcium from soft tissue.
    when i take mk7 this is not happening.
    i think: with MK7 I feel a very slight strange sensation in my chest, a slightly increased heartbeat.

    I just received my purchase of MK4 yesterday after hearing Dr. Barrie Tan's previous presentations on GG. For me, MK7 does help my knee joints and I'm in my mid-fifties. I plan to alternate between the two as my initial approach to inserting MK4 in my supplementation routine.

      Hi Armando, thanks for sharing. Sounds good. My understanding from Dr Tan was that MK7 would also work as well. Though the area does not seem to be well understood, and I have not seen a reason why we only create MK4 internally.

      Do u think taking Rapamycin midlife makes sense? I know you are very knowledgeable….😊🙏just got the script, 48 yo, female.

      @AT-xl9db Yes, but take it at night before bed and hope it wears off by the time you wake.
      MTor drives muscle growth as part of a proinflammatory growth phase during the day.
      Rapamycin supresses Mtor, so it will compromise muscle growth, but it will put you in a anti inflammatory repair phase, which usually takes place during sleep.
      Should use it to lean into the anti-inflammatory repair phase at night, with all the melatonin and adenosine, NADp and NADPh from the day night phosphorus shuffle of NAD+ to NADp.
      It will boost lifespan by boosting cellular repair but will lower lifespan via compromised muscle production. Double-edged sword.
      Rapamycin should only be used if you know what you're doing.

      Thank you! Yes, I am, too, concerned about muscle loss, I am very lean and muscular…will have to time my HIIT after half-life decay, which is about 60 hours for Rapamycin…also limit methionine…thank you so much again, this was very helpful 😊🙏

      @ModernHealthspan  6 місяців тому +2

      Hi Carol, thanks for your comment. I don't think that Dr Tan's point was that MK7 is not effective. Nearly all the supplements that I can see on the market are based on MK7. I think he is pointing out that internally we make MK4 and you can raise your K2 naturally with veges (for K1) and GG.

    • @pramuanchutham7355
      @pramuanchutham7355 6 місяців тому

      You may be right. Only reason mk-7 is preferred is that it lasts longer than mk-4, but due to longer tail (3 units more than mk-4). Thus its reaction is accordingly much slower than that of mk-4. In opposite sense, mk-4 is more effective than mk-7.
      Now brand sells mk-4, quite cheap compared to the mk-7 version.😊

      @ModernHealthspan I meant pqq, there's some overlap in steroidal effects, but I was wrong on assuming gg being involved perhaps
