Just buy an m240i or Supra with the b58 and be done with all that nonsense. Mine made ~530 hp (432 awhp on a Mustang dyno) with just a silly box and e30. 0-60 in 3.3 and 1/4 in 11.2 on the street.

Love the Mustang but the VR specifically in the RZ34 is extremely capable. Look at Zillaboost, fuel, Z1 turbos, other mods and STOCK transmission running high 9’s.
That’s how it sounds, go drive one like I did. 350 Shelby is the only Mustang I’d get. VR’s are crazy fast with the right mods, red sport owners know. Look at zillaboost, fuel and Z turbos, plus few others mods and running high 9’s.
You can def make 460 on 93 with those mods. If you follow the Z scene youll know AMS and SOHO alone have tuned plenty of new Zs to that. SonicTuned is no different. Now reaching 500 youll start getting into flex fuel, pumps, etc.

@@alexandredufour7358 the simple fact is that you can turn up boost in addition to timing on a turbocharged car (hence much larger gains vs stock). You can only increase timing on a NA motor. I believe the Z here has a 93 tune, with e30 it’s another ~30whp.
Twin turbo with lots of aftermarket parts against a natural aspirated stock Mustang. Not competitive and not in the same class. Now add a Supercharger to the Mustang or turbos Nissan would lose. It really just another example of a 40K OEM modern turbo 6 cylinder can easily with little money and a tune make 500whp/500Wtq. @@thibs8801 This isn't true at all. NA engines, including the coyote have a very peaky power band by comparison. Boosted engines typically carry a flatter power band, making more power earlier on and maintain power throughout the rev range, gear after gear. 500bhp @ 6000rpm is very different than 500bhp @ 3000rpm in the real world.

The z makes 480hp at 5k rpm, after that it dips all the way down to 430 by 7k rpm, and torque falls 200lbft of torque by 7k rpm. Upgrade the turbos and you’ll keep that torque up top and therefore have more hp at 7k rpm.

To all the stang fanboys and bmw fanboys look. The Z slower than the m240i where in the drag by what a hear, and traps much higher than the m240i theyve all been dynoed well north of the 400hp mark. Yet still m240i is a 12.1 sec car at 113mph trap m340i is a 12.3 sec car at 112mph trap supra is a 12.1 sec car at 117mph, bear in mind these cars are on michelins vs the same on dunlops lesser grade tyres, and the Z actually made 400hp crank on the dyno stock. Its 12.3 sec car at 116mph. And the Z has also been tested in japan earlier this year stock with the 155mph limiter removed and it hit a 186mph max speed. Go see for yourself. These drag times have been all set by Hagerty, and check best motoring for the top speed run. The supra was also tested and hit a 183mph top speed stock. Id say the supra being much lighter of its other b58 sibblings is the most capable has a much superior top speed than them. Yet it still couldnt trap higher than the Z. Given the Z is slower on track than the supra. I highly doubt those underrated power wise bmws trap more than 175mph. So again because u say b58 make more power easily, it aint no more capable or stronger engine than the vr30, it appears though because BMW lies big time about their hp numbers that is why. So obviously of you making more power than the other car aint you suppose to be faster. But just comes to show how capable the Z is. Time will prove even more wait n see when the Z start making big numbers. After the quarter the Z will smash both bmw 240 an 340i sibblings sorry. I would love to see a one mile drag between both cars or a top speed run with limiters removed from all cars lets see whos more capable. That Z is moving that's for sure. Strange. I have a 19 mustang gt 10speed and completely stock on stock tires in hot humid FL my best was 11.86 at 119. You should be closer to 12 flat to 12.1 Now with my current mods stock tune, Roush cold air, corsa extreme active cat back exhaust, full Steeda race suspension with adjustable coil overs springs, tubular K member, irs bracing and bushings, irs lock out, stop the hop kit, DSS drive shaft, Steeda trident lite wheels, carbon fiber hood and trunk, rear seat delete. On 305 drag radials with ok DA it runs consistent 10.9 at 126. Next on my list I'm going to get a Lund E85 tune and kooks long tubes and should be down to 10.3- 10.5 at 130s.

These Nissan always outperform the American v8 Chevy and Ford. You pretty much have to mod the v8 until you can only track drive it to compete with the Nissan... With the Nissan you can drive it to the track compete and drive back home... Your camero or mustang better get trailer in with your quarter ton pick up😅
Let me rephrase for you. The Nissan had to mod in order to beat the Mustang. As far as a road course goes, the Camaro will run circles around both of these cars.

With the same amount of tunes they need to do a remake and compare but if I'm not mistaken with no tunes the less hp z car still dominate... the track is a different factor you have to look at driver skill ect...

The coyote engine doesn’t really do much when tuned. It’s big thing is that it loves boost. Even with bigger turbos that Z has no shot against a supercharged Mustang or turbo Mustang
You can't beat a tuned turbocharged car. The torque comes in and shoves you in the back, It's probably got 100 lb ft more than the stang at the same RPM. No chance for a heavy car like the stang. Needs to lose 200 lbs and have a shorter gearing or higher final drive ratio.
Do you really believe that tune only added 80 HP but was somehow able to shave a full second off the quarter mile from factory? Disingenious or nieve by Sam, not sure which.
You must understand that the car came from factory with its limitations for emissions and noise and stuff. Removing the restrictions and tuning can easily make that much power depending on how much restrictions the car had in the first place. The honda k series engines make around 200hp without internal parts being changed, intake, exhaust and a tune can give you almost 40hp from a naturally aspirated 2 lite engine. Farless for turbo
Even if you had a Mustang that was tuned you’re never going to get the same performance from tuning a NA engine as you can from Tuning a boosted engine. If you’re willing to add boost to the Mustang then the Z wouldn’t have a chance . The only issue with that is the average car person might add a tune with some bolt ons whereas it’s going t9 take a true car enthusiast with racing goals to boost the Mustang.
Well a tuned e85 s550 makes around 480-520 depending on the intake manifold. The mustangs are known for giving the supra a run for their money tuned. This is a silly comparison. Upgraded tire and tuned vs stock tire 😂😂 mustang.
You guys should really be more accurate with your numbers. You just gave the HP numbers that Ford advertises for the Mustang, which everyone knows is to the crank. Realistically, it's probably around 425 to the wheel. When you tune a car you get the actual hp to the wheels so the Z numbers were probably accurate. I knew the outcome to this race before it started. Just do a little research next time and get the HP to the wheels of both cars not just 1.
I don’t think it’ll make a difference but with an all motor 5.0 you shouldn’t just mash the pedal. You need to manually downshift it and leave it in 2nd, punch it, then put it in Drive. Stock shifting is already lazy on a 10r80 let alone flooring it from 8th gear.

It really just another example of a 40K OEM modern turbo 6 cylinder can easily with little money and a tune make 500whp/500Wtq. I see a 16 mustangs a day non have a turbo and 90% will never go through the money or hassle of bolting on superchargers etc. I personally like the NA mustang more.
@@thibs8801 This isn't true at all. NA engines, including the coyote have a very peaky power band by comparison. Boosted engines typically carry a flatter power band, making more power earlier on and maintain power throughout the rev range, gear after gear. 500bhp @ 6000rpm is very different than 500bhp @ 3000rpm in the real world.
@@xtminxthat’s not true. What you said only applies to boosted engines with tiny turbos. The z makes 480hp at 5k rpm, after that it dips all the way down to 430 by 7k rpm, and torque falls 200lbft of torque by 7k rpm. Upgrade the turbos and you’ll keep that torque up top and therefore have more hp at 7k rpm.

The Z slower than the m240i where in the drag by what a hear, and traps much higher than the m240i theyve all been dynoed well north of the 400hp mark. Yet still m240i is a 12.1 sec car at 113mph trap m340i is a 12.3 sec car at 112mph trap supra is a 12.1 sec car at 117mph, bear in mind these cars are on michelins vs the same on dunlops lesser grade tyres, and the Z actually made 400hp crank on the dyno stock. Its 12.3 sec car at 116mph. And the Z has also been tested in japan earlier this year stock with the 155mph limiter removed and it hit a 186mph max speed. Go see for yourself. These drag times have been all set by Hagerty, and check best motoring for the top speed run. The supra was also tested and hit a 183mph top speed stock. Id say the supra being much lighter of its other b58 sibblings is the most capable has a much superior top speed than them. Yet it still couldnt trap higher than the Z.
Given the Z is slower on track than the supra. I highly doubt those underrated power wise bmws trap more than 175mph. So again because u say b58 make more power easily, it aint no more capable or stronger engine than the vr30, it appears though because BMW lies big time about their hp numbers that is why. So obviously of you making more power than the other car aint you suppose to be faster. But just comes to show how capable the Z is.
Time will prove even more wait n see when the Z start making big numbers. After the quarter the Z will smash both bmw 240 an 340i sibblings sorry. I would love to see a one mile drag between both cars or a top speed run with limiters removed from all cars lets see whos more capable.

That Z is moving that's for sure. Strange. I have a 19 mustang gt 10speed and completely stock on stock tires in hot humid FL my best was 11.86 at 119. You should be closer to 12 flat to 12.1 Now with my current mods stock tune, Roush cold air, corsa extreme active cat back exhaust, full Steeda race suspension with adjustable coil overs springs, tubular K member, irs bracing and bushings, irs lock out, stop the hop kit, DSS drive shaft, Steeda trident lite wheels, carbon fiber hood and trunk, rear seat delete. On 305 drag radials with ok DA it runs consistent 10.9 at 126. Next on my list I'm going to get a Lund E85 tune and kooks long tubes and should be down to 10.3- 10.5 at 130s.

With the same amount of tunes they need to do a remake and compare but if I'm not mistaken with no tunes the less hp z car still dominate... the track is a different factor you have to look at driver skill ect...

You can't beat a tuned turbocharged car. The torque comes in and shoves you in the back, It's probably got 100 lb ft more than the stang at the same RPM. No chance for a heavy car like the stang. Needs to lose 200 lbs and have a shorter gearing or higher final drive ratio.

Absolutely a realistic improvement
You must understand that the car came from factory with its limitations for emissions and noise and stuff. Removing the restrictions and tuning can easily make that much power depending on how much restrictions the car had in the first place. The honda k series engines make around 200hp without internal parts being changed, intake, exhaust and a tune can give you almost 40hp from a naturally aspirated 2 lite engine. Farless for turbo
routinely did tunes for 90s era Eclipse 4 poppers and got 50hp easily.
Even if you had a Mustang that was tuned you’re never going to get the same performance from tuning a NA engine as you can from Tuning a boosted engine. If you’re willing to add boost to the Mustang then the Z wouldn’t have a chance . The only issue with that is the average car person might add a tune with some bolt ons whereas it’s going t9 take a true car enthusiast with racing goals to boost the Mustang.
A lot are juicing theirs. I am also waiting for a good SC kit to drop for the IS500.
Well a tuned e85 s550 makes around 480-520 depending on the intake manifold. The mustangs are known for giving the supra a run for their money tuned. This is a silly comparison. Upgraded tire and tuned vs stock tire 😂😂 mustang.

You guys should really be more accurate with your numbers. You just gave the HP numbers that Ford advertises for the Mustang, which everyone knows is to the crank. Realistically, it's probably around 425 to the wheel.
When you tune a car you get the actual hp to the wheels so the Z numbers were probably accurate.
I knew the outcome to this race before it started. Just do a little research next time and get the HP to the wheels of both cars not just 1.

I don’t think it’ll make a difference but with an all motor 5.0 you shouldn’t just mash the pedal. You need to manually downshift it and leave it in 2nd, punch it, then put it in Drive. Stock shifting is already lazy on a 10r80 let alone flooring it from 8th gear.
All of those mods and tune for an 11.9, lol.

People forget the z and q50-q60 are “tuner cars” they will out perform many when tuned and with upgraded turbos and even built motors
