For sure very interesting and the improvement backed up by performance data sounds very positive. I'm looking forward to your gravel race in findings in BC. I have done Wim Hoff breath work, but did not find an improvement which carried over to riding......this could be different.
Wim Hoff breathing also known as Tummo breathing is not known to improve athletic performance. There are other breathing techniques that do (like any type of hypoxic breathing to increase CO2 tolerance) or box breathing to improve HRV. The airofit is quite different, because its primary application is to increase the strength of your lung muscles, which in theory should increase your anaerobic threshold. Some of the exercises also aim to improve diaphragmatic control, which should have similar benefits as box breathing. Imho the biggest and cheapest breath training you can do is to start breathing in through your nose during aerobic efforts. Most people start mouth breathing during any kind of activity.
Hi do you think breathing exercises without a device like this can give some small to medium improvement in performance or would it be a waist of time?
You could, but I don't think you can a better, or faster improvement without airofit. The resistance really kick a notch in terms of the training and the app makes it motivating to keep doing it!
It's really not surprising to come back stronger unless you are the type of rider that needs fatigue in the legs to perform. It's a physiological mechanism called supercompensation, which happens usually after a succesful bout of functional overreaching.
I was ready to purchase with your promo code. Then I saw something not mentioned in any of the reviews. A subscription is required for use after the first 30 days? Is that correct?
Lots of incongruence with the data, in the strava history you could see before the test you done a whole week of biking, and also you comparing it to data completely different, you mentioned you done it outside, it would of been great if you done same workout before and same after and no workouts in between, and need better tools to compare, but definitely got me into researching itand looking for more and studies, great vid

Nice looking trip. My wife and I visited a lot of those same places a few years back.
it was awesome!!
Hey man do you feel any difference from 2 to 6 out resistance? For me 3, 4,5 are the same. I am wondering if my Airofit ain't broken or something.
