That shoulder charge take down! Actually interacting with bodies to loot them! The intriguing whistle/wave interaction! I'm so interested and hopeful in Blight! The gameplay looks like, amazing atmospheric action adventure game with stealth and rpg elements... so its kinda wild that it's billed as a 4-player coop game.
I've always loved the idea of being a heroic knight/paladin fighting off hordes of undead creatures and defending innocent commonfolk This game seems to capture that perfectly,deffinitely a must buy when it releases...

Looks cool. I love how the footmen are lightly armored compared to the knights. Also like how the knight can actually move in that armor. The weapons and armor look amazing. I am hoping that we can change what we wear though? Like if I could I would like to wear the kettle helmet with a gambeson and chainmail over it (I like the footman look even though it offers less protection that the full armor.
Wow this game looks great so far. Love how historically accurate the armor is. I know it's not finished, but I hope they add some sound to the armor when he is moving around. It's metal on metal so it isn't dead silent like that. Shpuld look up some videos of real armored combat, you can hear the armor when they move! I've high hopes for this game and I'll be following it now.
Someone in the comments said that the devs of this game said that the made the armour silent for the sake of the trailer, but it will be rattly in the final game. Plate armour is noisy but not like hauling a bag full of kitchenware, and chainmail is not as noisy as dragging a towing chain thru a stone floor.

And Skyrim has the most clunky animations of the past 2 decades, no transition between walking and running, and the character just flails their arm in one place. There also isn’t a doge button or real-time looting animations

The fluidity of the character movements is cutting edge realistic. Much like what Tenchu Stealth Assassins was to PS1 being the first to use motion capture.
When this is an openworld ... then wow i have no word it looks awsome he realy grabs the items and the loot from the npc and all this litle things are so beautyful... when i imagine this with a good Story and roleplay elements then this will be my abselout favorite game

Whenever a pre-alpha is this polished you're looking at a proof of concept vertical slice. This is probably 90% of the game they currently have so it's tough to say how long it would take them to produce and entire game of this quality. I'll definitely keep an eye out for this one though. If they manage to match the quality they showed in the teaser this will be a must buy for me.

Blight seems to have a very similar close camera position, smooth animation-based combat, brutal finishers & gore, sneaking around, crawling on the ground, silent kills and a minimalistic UI that makes the experience feel cinematic and immersive. Every gameplay element like camera position, style of combat, presentation, animations or stealth feels very similar to The Last Of Us 1 & 2. Which is great because IMO too few games go for this style of gameplay. How are you not familiar with TLOU gameplay? It's one of the most popular games around.

Having control over player movement during attacks and having a first person camera for ranged just feels way better for my life-long pc gamer preferences. I play games to engage with mechanics, not passively watch a fight happen, and no matter how cool a long mo-capped animation looks it's unengaging because there's nothing to do during the animation's duration.
It was tiring just imagining going into a crawling position then back on hands and knees with that armor on, but that falls comfortably into my suspended disbelief; the game looks amazing.
Plate armour at its peak was actually incredibly light and agile, with some seriously incredible hand-fitting and engineering that led to almost no clanging or scraping. Knights could full sprint, go prone, even wrestle in their armour. Pair that with a lifetime of training and the weight becomes almost unnoticeable.

Looks fun. A knight wouldn't leave his shield behind though unless he had to. It's one thing modern depictions almost always get wrong is all the fighting without a shield. Looks cooler I guess ;)

This is the exact same game we’ve all played 100 times, but medieval zombie themed. It’s amazing how much theme can change the perception of a game.
I imagine civil war,blight infected,infected monstrosities,medieval terrain and places. 4 co-op super fun.

You can have realism if you can have silly sneaking behind enemies who ignore your playe armor clanking together

This is the most fluid and natural character movement ive seen in a video game thus far.
It's a reveal trailer so watch it with a grain of salt.
Red Dead Redemption 2 personally did it a lot better. This looks a lot like KCD but with Skyrim combat and no open world.

Kingdom Come Undead Nightmare. Has a bit of last of us in it with the animations Hopeful Like Sword play is as Fuild as Ghost of Tushimia.
The way it holds tight over the shoulder, combined with the combat reminds me more of God of War than Ghost of Tsushima.

Devs said that there are co op/multiplayer but no PVP and they aren't intending to add PVP (even if they did, they said, it'll be VERY much optional).

Plate is light. Yes it's 15-30 kg but it is distributed over the entire body. It is loud though so that is the only thing that doesn't make sense.

I hope they make stealth increadibly difficult and realistic and combat super immersive (bow combat looks spot on so excited)
not incredibly difficult..intense difficulty would ruin this game immensely..just make it fun and enjoyable

Love the setting and the animations, i could never get into plague tale since i want something more engaging than a last of us walking rat simulator so i look forward to this.
The way the character moves, does stealth takedowns, and squeezes through the slit in the fence reminds me of ghost of tsushima

Looks fun. A knight wouldn't leave his shield behind though unless he had to. It's one thing modern depictions almost always get wrong is all the fighting without a shield. Looks cooler I guess ;)
Plate armor made shields redundant, this guy is in a full english harness, that shield probably wasn't his shield because he wouldn't need one
@@newwordblues3030 then he should a polearm if his hands are free, and I don’t se a chest plate on the fella so a shield would not be redundant, because mail is still vulnerable to determined thrusts or projectiles
