Dear Bloober Team, I wanted to tell you that after Silent Hill 2 Remake, you have earned my sincerest respect. You had a very tough job ahead, and not only did you succeed, but you exceeded everyone's expectations. I hope the lessons from SH2 have taught you that less is more, and that slow-burn terror is much deeper and more real than cheap scares. Your work with the Konami game has been incredible, but the real and ultimate key to your success (besides your amazing work) has been Akira Yamaoka. Without him, nothing would have been the same. And I’m not just talking about his musical themes, but also his soundscapes. His atmospheres create a unique and malevolent aura that is simply incomparable and inimitable. My advice, and believe me, it’s the best I can give as a long-time fan of the saga, is to bring him back for possible future remakes. Silent Hill 1 without his sound textures would lose its soul. Use the same resource as with SH2R. Keep using his music and especially his soundscapes, and your success in terms of media and gamer reviews will be total. Yamaoka's music and soundscape are almost 90% of the Silent Hill experience; without him, nothing will be the same. Any SH remake needs to return to his ambient sounds and musical themes, just like your recent remake. Best wishes to you, and I hope you consider the opinion of a new follower of your magnificent work. Good luck with everything. P.S. Cronos looks excellent!
