Those are two thing I can't bare being enabled, it doesn't make the game look better just blurry as fuck.
I could achieve the same affect by smearing vasoline on my monitor.

Seriously, every time I plug an ENB into a game those are the first two things I disable.
Motion blur is only bad when you don't have enough samples (fps)

It would’ve looked good had everything not been so over saturated. When you’re toning up saturation you wanna make very tiny jumps otherwise it looks like and instagram post.

Yeah this just didnt sit right with me either. I'm fine with the remastered version being a more saturated world because they went in and completely transformed the world to look that way and give the original a little more vibrancy. Artificial saturation boosts are risky and need to be used sparingly. It's like throwing on the vivid setting on TVs

People won't buy anything unless it assaults their senses with settings so rich you'll get eyeball poisoning.

I think it’s meant to be like so because the Halo is meant to be an artificial “planet” and adding saturation adds to the artificial effect
You mentioned Halo 2 at the end. Please use Project Cartographer if you actually plan on going through on that.
Yep, was just going to comment that. Comes with Campaign and Multiplayer for free and is upgraded with some quality of life stuff (like moving the reticle to the center of the screen and complete rebinding of controls for K&M).

Honestly, I kinda like motion blur in *some* games. Looked pretty nice in Witcher 3 as well as Planetside 2.

Motion blur can look good in certain situations IF done properly, but depth of field looks bad pretty much all the time.
The funny thing is that it looks good on videos IMO but is really annoying in-game.
He wanted to make it Cinematic, like a trailer. he mentions this a few times.

the minute I saw him move the models around I knew HaloDoom was going to be something he tried.

For me blur and depth of field are ugly, but I guess it's a matter of personal opinion.
Not per object motion blur. It enhances the experience. Also the reason why motion blur in consoles games are ugly is because you need higher samples and higher framerates to make it look good.
Tenzing Khedup fps not giving enough samples? Well they shouldn't add features to console games that can't handle it.
Stuff going blurry isn't natural unless I missed the memo that says every new game must have the astigmatic code added.
@@Web720 nah, it's just bad. your eyes already have motion blur on them it happens naturally as you play a game, adding a discount filter that makes anything that moves blurry is just making it worse

@DAVID XM Indeed. I usually didslike motion blur and DoF, but MGSV used them perfectly.

I know this has already probably been said to death but Late Night just went out of his way to *add in* options I normally *turn off immediately* upon game launch.
3:40 Thank god you introduced OpenSauce. It makes the HUD + Weapon models more tolerable

i just got opensauce and i can't seem to figure out how to change the viewmodel
U should also include the chimera mod that makes the games animations run at a proper 60fps instead of being locked at 30fps while the
environment is still 60fps
I love the way the gun looks after the modifications
There's only one thing left to do now: Make the entire game look like that "helmet-cam" cutscene from 343 Guilty Spark.

Make sure you enable anisotropic filtering for Halo on your graphics card's control panel. Makes the textures look much sharper.
That wouldn't make a difference anyways because this guy blurred out everything that's 5 or more meters in front of him.

The good Halo CE mod community, those were the days i spent all my free time after school in the forums looking those incredible H3 Maps, and the assets in WIP. just to download them in that sweet super compressed zip/rar.
Honestly, I would probably do that in today’s day, I would consider even doing it right now.

Do it on Legendary. You’ll rage quit like I did during the third mission. Luckily I powered through. Now I completed the whole MCC on Legendary by myself. Now I need to do Reach and Co-op on Legendary

How exactly in reshade are you changing weapon view models? Like I've seen the sliders and stuff but I don't know what exactly you're doing to use this feature of reshade.
Any help would be great, I don't see much about it specifically online.
So its not actually reshade! Its a tool called "Open Sauce" that works for the Gearbox port of Halo CE! It allows you to adjust the FOV, framerate, graphics, etc etc and of course, view models

So, ik not many mention it, but I can't even get Reshade to work on CE. It just keeps saying "Gathering Exception Data"
Can someone PLEASE link me a guide on how to do exactly what he did? I've been trying to copy everything he's doing by installing refined, and reshade, but nothing seems to work. And I don't know how to install the hud and weapon model menus

Can you give a tutorial on the settings? I installed reshade and all the packs available for CE but none are like yours, and the settings are different.

Hey LNG, could you post your reshade settings so we can try it out? I've had reshade in Halo Custom Edition for awhile now,it looks ok using someone's preset but i like your settings a lot.

How did you get the depth buffer access to work properly on Halo CE? For me, it seems to take skybox into account so it breaks MXAO a lot.

It technically could. Since MCC will support Windows 7, it might be using DX11. But if they go a different route and decide to use that weird version of DX12 that runs on both Windows 7 and 10, we are screwed.
@@martinkosecky4943 I think they a bringing Direct X 12 to Windows 7 so they'll probably use that.
Although there is a chance the game is actually DirectX 9 as that was what the originals were. (DX12 is more likely)
We'll find out when the Reach beta happens
@@Priception True. DirectX9? Didn't know Xbox 360 used DX9. Well... I guess I learn something new every day.
I am not sure but I think MCC was built before DX12 was a thing, I am not sure converting from what ever native version MCC has to 12 would be worth it to 343i or Xbox.
So I personally feel it will be working for Reach and most likely all the MCC titles.

i tried to install halo1 and get reshade going on it again and now every time i install reshade i get the gathering exception data for halo. when i uninstall it the game runs again. i got it to actually work with reshade once and then when i went to play the game again today reshade only causes the game to crash and wont launch. anyone have any ideas why reshade 4.3 wont run on halo for me?
