It reminded me of how more modern games look now a days (Examples being Modern Warfare 1 and 2), sparking the idea that this might be what ODST would have looked like if it was ever remastered. The one thing I would've enjoyed is to see you going a bit more nuts with the screenspace reflections during Mombasa Streets; it might've made for a cool effect, everything being soaking wet and reflective as though it had just finished raining. Aside from that, the first preset is absolutely excellent, and I'd definitely give a playthrough with it a try!
@@LateNightHalo are you going to provide downloads to your reshade configs for all the halo games you've done as what you've done with them is amazing!

He’s not trying to make it great for gameplay, he’s just trying to make it look as good as possible. Reflections off the inside of the helmet get in the way and can be annoying but they’re realistic in a rainy setting under a helmet (at least more realistic than nothing).

That's the default color of most light in the environment because it all combines from different sources. This is what's causing that extreme color banding in brighter scenes and off street lamps. I just want to say: this has always been a rather comforting channel for me. Whenever I'm feeling a little down or just don't know what to do, I can boot up one of your Reshade, opinion-based, or just-fucking-around videos and have a blast. The videos where you tell stories about your personal experience with this franchise and how you relate to it are some of my favorite. But this video right here will always be my favorite. Sometimes it's because I'm having a day. Sometimes because I want inspiration for my own Reshade-induced fuckery with other games. And sometumes just because I absolutely adore those Atmospheric and Noire presets you made, and love watching them in action. I've been on a bit of a Noir kick recently, and I'm thinking about replaying ODST after I finish Reach again, so I might have to do my best to replicate one of these. By the way, while it's not your usual brand on this channel, if you or anyone else reading this want a suggestion on games to toy around with Reshade for, Bioshock: Infinite is fantastic for this purpose. Despite it's flaws, it has none in the graphics department, and I love just messing around with it. I particularly like applying a "rosy" filter for the outdoor or cheerier areas of Columbia, especially those first few levels, by messing with Bloom, Sepia, and some other filters to give it a bright, rich, and airy feel. Tweaking the warm colors to pop more with sepia or something else really helps enhance the vibes of those first few levels. Once you try it out, you can't go back. It also suprisingly works extremely well with the CRT filter. While it might not seem apparent, as I'm praising it for its wonderful pre-existing visuals, though it makes it harder to appreciate the beauty of Colubmia, CRT just feels great to play in for that game, for all of the levels, but especially the beginning section and Finkton. I'm pretty sure any game can have it's combat improved by having enemy pixels partially lost in the scanline, especially B:I.

The first one really reminds me of the nighttime levels from the Battlefield 3 campaign. Very reflective and wet looking surfaces which drives home the rain as well as lens flare effects that stand out in the night. Very beautiful stuff!
The first reshade was cool, but I REALLY liked your noir one at the end. With some more tweaking I’d totally love to play it like that. It’d be so cool if you could do it where certain colors don’t get desaturated. Like if you were able to make all the reds pop... or like all the blood... ugh... could be so so cool.
