My favorite part of PT is that the thing haunting you is always right behind you. You can't tell because it's first person only but when the camera is hacked to let you change it, the thing is right there.
Bold choice to include X and Y when the title speaks of "open world games", considering the first (and only) true open world titles in the franchise were the most recent ones, Scarlet and Violet.
Dunwich Borers and the Salem Museum of Witchcraft in Fallout 4. And….Oof. The Colander. I went in on that one, even though every fiber of my being screamed “Stop. Run. GET OUT.”
I mean, it's pretty heavily implied that the Mysterious Figure in RDR is Death itself.
And yet the hidden message you find in the train station in Lumiose City which reads "I'm going to go for help. Wait in the usual place." is hardly ever discussed. It's always the ghost girl. :(
The cyberpunk one was about a real event. Heaven's Gate was a religious movement known for the mass suicides in 1997
Someone else noticed.
Creepy story. Definitely one I'll remember.
you missed something about the haunted house in far cry 5 its hinted that they arent mannequins but in fact corpses as there is a bed up at the end covered in blood
Ok hold on. Jules left WhatCulture months ago. How far in advance were all his videos recorded that they're still releasing new vids with him narrating so long after he left?
I believe he works freelance for What culture now
@@dazzax7888 ah. That would make more sense.
I'm wondering about this too, like...the hell? I'm happy but still confused 😕🤔
Valheim has Odin appearing in the distance during thunderstorms. He's quite creepy and isn't a normal mechanic of the game
Is the Cyberpunk 2077 Children of the Ark easter egg a reference to Soma?
I miss the good old days when they would still make outros. The way this is nowadays, with the abrupt cut, feels so lazy.
Apart from that, love Jules, just miss the motivational speeches in the outros and the “one per list” ❤
Still waiting for my One Per List….😂
Same
Can't do that anymore or Jules will get cancelled by the Twitter folks
I never understood what is the one per list Jules talks about... (noob alert)
Miss them days 😢
@@edaraujo2169 he used to do some pretty wild your mom jokes. One per list (one per vid, each vid is a list)🤙🏻
Norse mythology; deer and elk are often associated with the cycles of life and death, as they are seen as intermittent between the natural world and the gods.
The creepy shadow likely references Eikþyrnir, the stag in Valhalla said to creep around those who are about to die.
Wintermoor Tactics Club, the one student you can talk to in the courtyard everyday. At the end of the game she turns out to have been a ghost all along. You might have to talk to her in every day to get it, there's an achievement attached and I got it without trying, but I kept trying to see if her dialogue changed.
The abrupt ending of this video was also scary
I miss the "One per List" Mom jokes. I bet there could have been a good one for this video.
Pokémon X and Y is NOT an Open World Game Jules! It’s a linear game! Like you visit Lumiose City at least THREE times in the main game of your Kalos adventure!
"Open world games" and then mentions pokemon xy 😂
Been around 3 years now since I shared that demon in Ghost of Tsushima at spider-flower shrine.
That metal gear solid broadcast actually had me look over my shoulder the first time I found it. Truly hair-raising.
The Industrial Zone, what about The Aztec and Medieval zones?
The haunted house in Fallout 4
Was gonna say. Yeah. I got out of there as soon as I could. brrrr.
And the stuff written in the cabin of RDR2 changes depending on your honorable or dishonorable actions
I’m just here to see how many times they repeat the same games over and over again
I love you Jules, your heartfelt endings always come my way when I need them most. Thank you bro. Cheers from California.
Tim Curry messed up my childhood.
Might need to look again those aren't mannequins in the displays of the haunted house
Starfield: Countless secrets. Was this written by AI?

Right... "the future"...
Montana is just like Far Cry 5. People are killed by animals every single day.
Pics in bayou lol.
good good video ❤
How about the weeping angels in The Witcher 3? Creepy! Don't blink...
None from Fallout?
A bit creepy, sure, but terrifying? Nope.
Is it me or the video ended weirdly?
Small shack in a place called Bal Edge( via closed captions)... like Baal Edge? Well if you played Disgaea or Diablo it would have been a red flag if nothing else.
I need to eat some food 😊
When you memtioned starfield i was certain y'all were going to say the loading screens were the terrifying bit 😂 or the uncanny empy world in that shitty copy paste game.
While I understand why it wouldn't qualify for this list (not a secret), in Cyberpunk the whole thing with Rivers nephew was far creepier.
... that is one of the worse, but most of the Brain Dance related missions too, involve a lot of creepy killers.
Something about those kids being held and tubes down their throats really bummed me out. Although I did have fun with all the mines around the place lol
@@liammarshall5047 not only what he did to his victims, but bow he went after them. Very "art imitating life" and creepy as hell.

You forget how old PT until it is mentioned it inspired a game you feel is super old.
2nd! 🎉

1st is the worst. 2nd is the best.
It was so nice when Elden ring left the public consciousness, I truly hoped from software would just let it die. But of course with the dlc coming in June, every gaming UA-cam channel will jump back on the Elden ring train. Even if the game truly sucks ass and doesn’t deserve the praise it gets.
The Elden Ring thing is a speculation, calling it a "secret" is pretty dumb.
I thought you were gonna say you get his sword and shield if you're able to kick his ass but that's not really a secret either.
Also Elden Ring is not bereft of secrets so...
