I haven't used mine for quite a while, and I ALWAYS forget how to reload the string by the time i use it again. Many thanks for this refresher course!
Great! Thank you!
I needed to use this trimmer for the first time. First time for any trimmer, in fact. It belongs to my son, who's not in town, but my yard was looking like the little shop of horrors so I had to figure it out. Of course it had no trimmer string in it :) With your instructions though, I was able to load the string and actually use it. The string I purchased was round, not triangular, and when I heard you recommend triangular I thought heck, I messed up. But it worked just fine. Thank you!
Sincerely,

Good job figuring it out! And thanks for the comment!
Thanks! The store said to just pop the replacement spool in and that doesn’t work at all! So I watched you do it manually! The thumb trick worked.
Excellent!
Thank youuuu!! Worked perfectly, and you let me know my husband had put on string that was too thick. Runnin' like a dream now! Thanks, again.
Awesome!
Thank you for a very informative and simple fix! Was about to go back to Lowe's but decided to give UA-cam a try. Your instructions were perfect, especially battery removal first! Very much appreciated!!!
Awesome! Glad this helped!
My main problem is taking off the cap. I thought I was doing it wrong, but after watching your tape I decided I may have smaller hands and less strength to press the two buttons, but after a struggle I manage. Thanks for the instructions.
They can be hard sometimes. Glad this was helpful.
It’s lot harder than he says. It’ll make you pull your hair out.
So how do you do it ..I have the spool. I'm so lost. ..
Found this video on Google, it helped me perfectly, came here to throw you a like and subscribe. Great video and thanks for the tutorial.
Thanks for the nice comment and for making the effort to like and subscribe. I appreciate it!
Thank you so much!!! I did it! first time! I stopped and started the video and did it exactly hiw you said 🎉
Awesome! 👍👍
Great video, appreciate it!
Outstanding, I always remove the battery too. Similar to unplugging electrical tools. Safety first ❤
Thanks! I agree!
Super helpful. Thanks for the info sir.
Great. Thank you.
Thanks just ran out of string and just bought another one strung already but now I know I can restring the one I took off…

Thanks pal

I’m having issues with the weed eater staying running. I’ve taken the spool out to troubleshoot buy running it without the spool and the bumper and spring will fly out, I’m not sure what this may be. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated, thanks
Is the battery dying? What happens when you run it with all the parts installed but no string? Another thing to look at is whether there's grass stuck around the spool head anywhere. This could cause a lot of resistance that the battery can't overcome. So clean out any grass if there is any.
@@FixEverythingYourself Hello thank you for your quick response, I apologize I’m just seeing this! But luckily for me it was still under warranty and I was able to just switch it out. Without the string in it it would run momentarily but then the bumper piece/knob that snaps down with a spring would just fly off. I’m not sure if something was broken but I just couldn’t figure it out. And if I remember correctly without that bumper piece it would continue running.
Thanks brother..Go Phillies
Yes sir!
Question: is this trimmer supposed to have a spring for the bump head to work properly? Mine didn’t seem to come with a spring, and my past gas powered trimmers had a spring-loaded bump-action line feeder. Is this bump head supposed to work without a spring? Because my trimmer line does not feed at all, and I’m using the correct line size… super frustrated, weed wacking takes forever since I have to manually pull out line every 5 minutes… thanks for any help you can give!
Well, I haven't physically seen the spring but I can feel the bump-head feature has a spring within it, so yeah. The center black piece that would bump the ground is springy on mine, so there must be a spring inside there. If yours isn't springy, that's likely the problem.
I just changed the line on mine and I took that centerpiece out. There is definitely a spring under there
👍 Thanks
That's the kind I have, wish I'd bought a DeWalt, they are easier to reload. I seen in the 40 volt Kobalt now has that easier loaded head
Yep, I agree with you
For some reason, I cannot press those two tabs in
Try using a large, flathead screwdriver to press them in. Aim the screwdriver slightly downward while pressing in.
And you can press them in one at a time with the screwdriver.
There is a better trimmer head available: EGO AH1530 Rapid Reload head.
It is a bump feed head that you don't have to take apart to reload. It can use the .095 line.
I installed one on mine: ua-cam.com/video/SB__HWrZxrQ/v-deo.html
FYI: I agree about removing the battery.
This is such a terrible design on this.
Most worthless piece of junk I ever bought.
These weed eaters are junk, buy a gas one and save yourself the trouble and money
My yard is tiny. Gas would be a waste but a bit to big to do by hand. This is a perfect light duty weed wacker for someone like me.
