This is very well told. It hits the type of lore video I enjoy that I call "informal information" where the lore/history is there, but it's told like you're telling a friend the story over a glass of wine or coffee. That said, I also enjoy a more formal type of lecture as well. It's all good.
The giant eyeball has killed my dark knight butt waaayyy too many times before I realized maybe don't look directly at the demon eye while he is doing the insta kill stare
Love these videos, I'd love a video (unless you already did it) on the relationship of other final fantasy games to FFXIV and what was borrowed and what changed. Like, for example, how the "Flood of Light" was mentioned by an NPC in Final Fantasy 3 as something that occured before the Flood of Darkness, which we would eventually see interpreted in Shadowbringers. I find those connections to be interesting and I love see how FFXIV will take the gist of some element from another game and recreate it into something unique to FFXIV.
Its super something I have wanted/want to do and plan to do when I have time. Currently looking to replay all the games on stream so I can make proper notes. Thanks for the kind words!
Good vid, but you forgot something important. “Final Fantasy III is a role-playing video game developed and published by Square for the Family Computer. The third installment in the Final Fantasy series, it is the first numbered Final Fantasy game to feature the job-change system. The story revolves around four orphaned youths drawn to a crystal of light. The crystal grants them some of its power, and instructs them to go forth and restore balance to the world. Not knowing what to make of the crystal's pronouncements, but nonetheless recognizing the importance of its words, the four inform their adoptive families of their mission and set out to explore and bring back balance to the world.”

Thanks for the kind words. Honestly, that's why we put out two for each synopsis one that's more "fun" and one that's more formal.

Words to live by -Elioaux
"Just then their decision came back to haunt them" is too much history, fictional and not XD
This is such a fantastic delivery of a fantastic tale, complete with technical terms like "wreck their shit"
Great recap! It's been so long, I'll definitely be checking out your other vids to refresh my memory on the other things I've forgotten about
6:18 that delievery is genius
This is my favorite telling of this story so far.

That was fuckin great! I loved your superb narration and all the “ GAAAAAYYYYY” ness. I subbed.
Good vid, but you forgot something important.

This sucks, why would you spoil endwalker and shadowbringers so much
Too "quirky" for my tastes, but I appreciate the effort.
I watched this as a refresher after starting Endwalker. This was a great - spoiler free recap 🫡
