Man Louisoix was truly a Hero among Heroes, dude went out in one of the most heroic ways possible and assured the salvation of Eorzea by saving the Warriors of Light.
Just a bit of info on "Nael van Darnus". The woman that is deafeated in Coils is in fact his sister, the real Nael had died years before 1.0 and ARR. When he died his sister, Eula, took up his name and position to keep his legacy alive. This information comes from the Eorzea encyclopedia that was only released in Japan. Since the localization team did not know this, it was written that Nael's form is the result of old memories making the body. So the "Nael" that is fought in both 1.0 and Coils is Eula, not her dead brother.
Thanks for the comment and yes, I omitted that for a few reasons. That is the lore from 1.0 JP and I’m aware it’s the visage that they are embodying but since both EE1 EN and all options from binding coils in the EN (and as far as I have read JP but I may have missed something) in the game as it is now do not in any way refer to it and going over that detail was deemed confusing enough that they omitted it in localization. I opted not to add it here as it’s not entirely clear if that is even cannon in EN as there are other localization shifts in the game that are seen as a splits, that’s not to imply it isn’t cannon just that it’s been such a mess I preferred to stick to the confirmable. -Elioaux
Amazing job! Loved the video, was trying to go to sleep but here I am 26 minutes later 😄 backstory was great and you tied it all together. Thanks for this.
Didn't watch the whole video, cause I recently finished the first 5 levels thanks to an unsynched player. But I have been waiting for this vid since you mentioned a possible on stream tour of the coils of Bahamut.
Can you please share your Gshade settings ? That's an amazing looking you manage to do ! BTW I love your videos, you always learn some new things, keep going

EXCELLENT video. Keep it up dude.
this the best story in game in my mind
I never realized but Nael becomes untempered here (14:00). I wonder if that accidental sucess helped encourage alisae later on in her studies
I have to wonder just how much Louisoix knew about The Final Days

Glad you enjoy them! I have put it on our discord under FFXIV-discussion as an easy way to access them, it should be pinned.
