    Considering that dragons are technically 'aliens' who immigrated from a distant star, Au Ra might be what one could consider the native 'dragons' of this world.

    This was incredibly put together and was so much fun to watch. The Au Ra being my favorite amoung the FF14 races, I was so excited to see this. Can't wait to see more videos on the lore of this fantastical world we all enjoy!

    And since seeing Thavnair and Radz-at-Han in EW, we now know the Raen are not only also found there, but they seem to be an outright majority

      Although I think more often than not they have different skin tones than the ones we see most in Othard, like green, reddish or yellowish tints

    This video was very informative, I'd love to see one covering the lore of the Hrothgar. I'm really surprised you don't have more subscribers, your videos are really high quality.

    This was a nice take on Au Ra lore. I think a minor update should be done for this video now that Endwalker had been released expanding further that Au Ra had settled to Thavnair as well :D

    Dusk mother and dawn father... Hydaelyn and Zodiark maybe?

    • @zero69kage
      @zero69kage 2 роки тому +1

      Probably not Zodiark is associated with darkness and the moon. The opposite of the dawn father. And Hydaelyn is more associated with the planet itself more than anything. I feel like a better fit would be bahamut and tiamat the dawn wyrm and dusk wyrm. But this of course has problems to, as firstly the Au Ra aren't related to the dragons. And bahamut and tiamat made their home in Merasidea not Othard.

    I know it's super duper minor but little things like pronouncing the names of tribes and gods correctly that are said aloud in spoken cutscenes frequently would actually go a long way to make these even easier to listen to and enjoy. Things like the goddess Nhaama and the Dotharl Tribe.
    These videos are otherwise awesome and I wouldn't be bringing up something so minor if I saw anything else majorly wrong with them. Keep doing good work! ❤️

    Any plans to cover Au Ra in regards to their presence in western Ilsaberd or is it too few information to work on? And can you look for information in regards to the government in Hingashi? I don't know where exactly anymore but I read somewhere that those at the top of the hierarchy in current Hingashi are Raen Xaela.

    • @TheEorzeanArchives
      @TheEorzeanArchives  2 роки тому +4

      As of now there is just too painfully little known about Ilsabard to cover as a topic but it is not from lack of want. However between END and EE3 eventually coming out we may be able to touch on it within the next year. As for the Hingan government what I may do is make a Kugane video and give an overview of what we do know, as we know very little (though some) about Higanshi proper. There are lots of crumbs to insinuate it could be a place we return to in 6.X or 7.0 content. Many unresolved plot lines and groundwork for geomancer as a class. Raen do occupy a space of privilege in Higan culture for their services in combat (and other areas as well) and especially in parts of Kugane but the Raen themselves that are a part of the Hingan hierarchy I would say are closer to advisers and vassals than any actual leaders within Hingashi. The premier “exception” might be the Bugyo of Kugane, Ichian Matsuba, but even he is still more like a “hand of the Bakufu”. -Elioaux

      Thanks for the feedback. For some reason there was an error when rendering and it caused this to happen. It wasn’t caught until after upload. It’s normal in all our other videos.

    Coming from MHW wanting to be a dragon, can say I was sorely disappointed in the fem au ras having only 2 good horns with majority of the voices being tiny animu waifus meanwhile all the male ones have cool horns. Nonetheless it was satisfying seeing more au ras in the game far east and learning there lore, it is quite sad they were killed in Eorzea for looking like dragons. Would have like to have had a lupin tribe

    Must be painful to be a female au ra lol, the size difference.
