If you drill the hole to small the first time is the original piece you already cut out and put it on the starter drill. It will go back in it's original place and hold the hole saw on location while you drill your bigger hole
How much heat does the unit put off into the cabinet? Could I add one of these to a basement compartment in my motorhome? The hole saw struggle buss is real, I've ridden on it.
It puts out very little heat in the cabinet that it is installed in, we were very surprised. I would have no problems installing one in the basement of an RV and have seen them installed in very small areas.
Great video, once you figure out fuel burn it should be pretty simple to set up another pump so you can transfer fuel from the other tank a top it off.
The 5Kw and 8Kw are the exact same heater. The 8Kw does not put out more heat and is nothing more than a marketing gimmick. Everything you want to know about CDH can be found by watching John Mk 47 video series on diesel heaters. You have a lot of trailer to heat and I'm glad it's working well for you. I camp in an 8.5 X 18 CTC and there's nothing worse than being cold in a metal box! I installed my CDH in a storage container that will sit outside on the trailer tongue. I'm using a 3 gallon marine fuel cell with quick connect and the heat duct goes through an EPDM flexible roof jack I mounted to the trailer wall with a 4 inch marine deck port. The only components of the heater that will be inside the trailer will be the controller and heat vent.
