YES Debo, do a Best of Gear video too!!!! Best spinning rods and reels, best baitcasting rods and reels, and ESPECIALLY best lines! I want to hear about the braid you like to use on both your baitcaster and spinning reels, do you use the same braid on both? I'd also like to know if you go straight fluoro or mono on any reels, and why. Finally, what leader line do you like to use with your braid? Equally of interest, what knot do you use to connect your braid to your leader? You don't need to do a knot tutorial, but I'm curious about the knot my favorite UA-camrs use. I have actually committed myself to learning and tying the FG Knot to connect my fluoro to my braid.
I didn’t get to do much fishing this year because of work. So I spent more time watching fishing than fishing. The bulk of the fishing I did was at night. Most days I spent fishing daylight hours was off shore deep water spots. There is a big difference from bank fishing in lure choices. Two lures I used that are unusual; but have been around a while; are a floating Rat-L-Trap and a Z-Man Elaz-Tech Pop Shadz. I fished water where it was only a few feet deep and dropped into 20 feet deep in just a few yards. Casting blind is a good name for what you do at night. You hear a big splash and cast to the sound. Maybe nothing happens for 20 casts; then you hear loud splash and feel your rod being jerked from your hands; it makes things much more interesting. When your drag starts letting line out like you hooked a passing car it’s a Striper; if it bulldogs it’s a bass; both are great fun. Now; I know you had bad luck using Dark Sleepers; the secret is get some smaller ones in quarter ounce. Don’t work them like a jig; work them like a swimbait. And most of all; don’t buy the ones that cost $7 dollars; buy the Chinese ones that cost $2.50 and order some now. They work best in clear water and they catch everything in spring. They are just fineness jigs in disguise. Don’t let them fall into the rocks; swim them above the dang rocks. (Float-N Trap ⅓ ounce) (Stumpknocker 3-inch) I used single inline hooks too. My Buddy is still figuring out how that works; but it does. I was catching two to his one and some nights his none.
Loved that you talk about why you do or don't particularly like a bait. Makes a nice change to get a good breakdown, many people just say "This is a great bait" or "This bait sucks" without giving any reasons. To hear you think through each of the lures and their up or down sides, good to see. Would really enjoy a best of gear video.
I like that you covered mid-priced variants of these lures. I buy most of my tackle based on Tactical Bassin videos but they tend to like the premium brands which can be painful on the wallet.
Agreed 110%!!! Im not buying a $25 jerk bait fishing from the bank and I can’t go get it.🤦🏾♂️ they are really but good but i wish they would do a “budget friendly” section
Yes best and worst gears is definitely something to make a video on. Perfect , so many lines don’t live up to their stats breaking point , reel falling apart, and rods like dizzle (line guide snaps off )
Best fishing UA-camr there is. Glad I found your channel earlier this year and have learned so much from you. Thanks for all the great content and all the best in the New Year!
Yes indeed .... would love the gear review (what worked best for which rigs in FY20) would be great! Love the insight videos vs. so many others who just do gimmicky challenges every week. Thanks Deebo.
I know what I’m about to spend all my fishing giftcards on now lol. Wanted to use jigs more and really appreciate how you talk about the eyelet design. Always respect your honesty with all lures 👊🏼⚖️💯
I gotta agree with the powerbait craw, it over all felt to big, bulky and stuff. I did catch a few on it the day we stopped at that fishy spillway. I feel like a proud poppa to hear you walking so much about the war Eagles, the spinner baits are amazing. I like how they run in the water and the durability is great. Ps, river to sea, I have the Ish Monroe version. Those come with the rattle on the back, I told you for a solid season and a half about how awesome they are. They last both of mine are all piked up and filled with holes. I have nothing bad to say about them
We will never turn down another video! The SK Magnum Menace was the jam! I liked the Cane Walker. It’s just me but the Curve 55 for me just doesn’t catch fish compared to a Rock Crawler or Wiggle Wart.
Really like your reviews of tackle. No hype, no bovine puckey, just an honest opinion based on your experience with said product 👍. Please do a vid about the best/worst rods and reels. This was a fun vid to watch.
One of the ones I got from your channel is the chatter bait custom from tackle warehouse. Better colors and better action than the normal chatters but not the crazy Jack hammer price. Good stuff. Also I had a ton of luck on that reaction innovation pocket rocket on a wacky rig. Before I got a casting combo, this was my go to light tackle bait for spinning rigs. Sleeper pick: the Booyah pond magic spinner bait. Way smaller size (1/4 oz I think? Maybe 3/16) makes the blades spin at slower retrieves. Good for those neighborhood ponds with guys beating the banks most weekends.
Because of you dizzle have gotten into the finesse feeshn. Recently got some of the lucky craft baits and provoke 106 and can't wait to try in the spring
Awesome! Always giving me good items to add to my TW wishlist!! Good viDEBO as always! Hope you’re doing well! PS- I had a Savage Gear glidebait split apart on me last fall (19 dollar lure) Thinking back it definitely landed on rocks and docks both several times. You made a good point and I’m definitely going to be more cautious
Two of my big standouts this year was the megabass spark shad and the evergreen jackhammer. The spark shad on a Okashira or the Okashira screw head absolutely caught fish. Most guys fishing the area I was in couldn’t believe the numbers and size I was catching on this. Best colors were real and Hiuo did the damage.
The Choppo and A3 anglers clear bladed tungsten underspin caught me some pretty good fish this year. Didn’t get to fish a whole lot since our public waters got shut down due to covid
I had a lot of luck in the spring and fall with a #2 Vibrax inline spinner in silver. For the summer I did quite well with a Baby D-bomb in green pumpkin with red flake.
Great Video. Especially appreciated the finesse jig section. We Like what we like; some of the baits you love, I personally may not and I’m sure that it’s vice-versa.
Also I had good luck this year on some gary Yamamoto spinnerbaits that Walmart had on clearance in a random spot I noticed grabbed a few they where killing it and also the classic rebel pop-R for me on those early morning late night calm waters
You compared the cane walker to the gunfish and that was exactly right, the gunfish 117 has more of a “one knocker” sound to it. The gunfish walks amazing, spits great and the colors just make it worth it 100% American Shad is my favorite LC color because no one else makes one exactly like it
My best bait for 2020 hands down was the 6th Sense Curve 55, what a great little crankbait. I also flipped and pitched the 6th Sense Stroker Craw and did very well with it.
Hey Debo I’d love to see the gear review for 2020. Also a video on your best gear that is still some of your go-to rods and reels would be cool to see. Thanks for the great content
Out here telling secrets about missile baits and the super big color. For sure my favorite color they have. Try the quiver on a Tokyo rig, freaking amazing!
Rage bugs were the deal for me this year! It was honestly difficult to put it down most days. baby rage bug did some damage on a pond that I fish from time to time. Biggest one of the year came on one. Good stuff Debo. lets see the best and worst gear of the year video if you can. Perhaps review your favorite lines as well!
I love these videos! I think I had the hardest time fishing a shaky head this year and I had the most success with a fluke. I’m gonna try a Ned rig and those KVD waking baits this year and hope they are good for me here in Illinois as they are for you in Iowa.
The gear video should be fun! Hope you get to it. I’m shock I didn’t see a chatter bait on your list. That was my go to this year! I was smacking them all over the place!
The KVD splash the bigger one was my hot topwater bait for me this year. Those berkley baits the issue I ran into with them was they didnt like the heat. I had a few like blow up like a balloon was kind of weird. But their Bullet pop was pretty good as well in the bone color. Great video Debo.
My stand out baits this year was the Z-man hula skirt (junebug), Zoom flukes(Pearl), Scum Frogs(All of the colors and sizes), Whopper Plopper (Loon &Bone 90). Would love to see the best/worst gear video! Happy New Years, Brother ...be safe, and tight lines!
Was thinking about trying out those Beast Coast Hybrid Finesse Jigs. Liked the look of the head (seems good for all around flipping, swimming, dragging, etc.) and the look of the hand tied skirt- just a bit pricey for a finesse jig when compared with like the War Eagle Heavy Finesse that are a 2-pack. More motivated now that I know they may be well worth trying out! Thanks, Debo!
Hey Debo, I really appreciate all the enlightenment U have shared on ur page. I`ve followed you for some time now. I still have not used the baits and I must agree we do get a few bad apples in our packages. Strke King is one of the bad apples, Lunker Hunt as well. I can keep it up, but just to put things behind us lets C wat 2021 brings. Keep up the great work. Rick AKA Ripn$Drag.
Good vid dude! If I had a best new/worst new lure of 2020, I think I'd have to go with the ol stickbait as best, never used one before this year and it caught me tons! For worst, I'd say the drop shot, but maybe I just haven't had the right color yet, not gonna give up!
Me it would be the Qauke 70 by 6thsense. When times were tough for whatever reason the lure got it done. It would revitalize my confidence so when I went back to a swim jig or swimbait I started to catch them on those also.
Debo I like that you seem to tell the truth about your products that you review 👍 I've tried a few of your recommendations and they worked awesome 😎so thank you for your content
My best of the year, while nothing new, was the booyah xcs square bill in tennessee special or berkeley flicker shad jointed. Definitely want to see the gear best and worst. The sixth sense 50x square bill in the boiled Craw and wobble head with beaver bait on it did well for me.
Best and worst gear of 2020 would have great value. Especially with all your feeshin' friends trying to decide how to best invest those gift cards in preparation for the 2021 season!! Great content, as always!!
One of my favorite videos of the year right here!
Means a lot brother! Thanks for taking time to watch 👊
I love the honest opinion of baits that you actually used. Too many people just sticking to one company and bashing everything else.
☝🏼this

Definitely would love to see a best and worse reel/gear of 2020! The underspin somehow worked for me this year. More than the t-rig or drop shot.
Get this man to 100k this is by far one of the most down to earth fishing channels
Appreciate that a lot my friend +
I agree 100%
He's here now
Now we need the “Best of ‘20” outtakes and blooper reel. Last year’s was great!
I didn’t get to do much fishing this year because of work. So I spent more time watching fishing than fishing. The bulk of the fishing I did was at night. Would really enjoy a best of gear video.
Appreciate that a lot man! Gear vid coming soon!
I really liked this video. As a newer angler, it’s great to hear some advice on what lures generally work better than others.
Yes, do a gear rig too. I always enjoy/trust your honesty! Thank you! Go Hawks!
Appreciate that a lot my friend 👊
My standout lures were the super fluke and a swim jig. I'd love to see a best and worst gear of 2020!
I look forward to this vid each year. You make great content man thank you
Debo can you pls start listing the names of the products you review so we dont have to take notes? That would be so helpful...thank you in advance
By far my favorite fishing UA-camr
Means the world to me man!
Great video. Glad you picked the provoke as one of your favorites. Keep them coming! Watching from Nebraska.
I would love to see a best and worst gear of 2020 video. also the blooper video you talked about during the live stream.
Awesome vij! Can't wait best and worse rod and reel set ups. Have a happy New year!
Love it man! Always giving that personal feedback without knocking or bashing.
Yes indeed .... would love the gear review (what worked best for which rigs in FY20) would be great! Love the insight videos vs. so many others who just do gimmicky challenges every week. Thanks Deebo.
Definitely do rods and reels!!!
I know what I’m about to spend all my fishing giftcards on now lol. Wanted to use jigs more and really appreciate how you talk about the eyelet design. Always respect your honesty with all lures 👊🏼⚖️💯
Would love to see a best/worst gear video OR a how I organize by tackle when I go bank fishing video
Thanks Debo! As always very informative, please do a 2020 gear review?
I would say I need the Debo best and worst of 2020 gear review. Loved this video.
I gotta agree with the powerbait craw, it over all felt to big, bulky and stuff. I did catch a few on it the day we stopped at that fishy spillway.

I’m I crazy or did you guys also use and have good luck with the Keitech finesse jigs as well?
Love the war eagle spinnerbaits, they run amazing
@@briano3767 they caught some in a recent video
@@briano3767 Debo might have used them, I haven’t
@@briano3767 yep, those keitech micro spin jigs are awesome!
We will never turn down another video! The SK Magnum Menace was the jam! I liked the Cane Walker. It’s just me but the Curve 55 for me just doesn’t catch fish compared to a Rock Crawler or Wiggle Wart.
A definite YES to the best of gear for this year. Us Iowa beginners need all the help we can get.
That wacky/nailed ned rig is SUPER FINESS!👍🏽🎣🎣🎣
Really like your reviews of tackle. No hype, no bovine puckey, just an honest opinion based on your experience with said product 👍. Please do a vid about the best/worst rods and reels. This was a fun vid to watch.
You nailed it man, that's all I'm doing 👊👊👊
i love these type of vids debo !
I would love to see a video on best and worst rod combos! You rock!

I love going back on old videos of yours and take notes.
KVD Sexy Dawg is a nice compromise between the full size spook & the jr spook. Good stuff.
I had a lot of luck on black frogs as well. Terminator walking frog and Booyah pad crasher did really well for me.
Because of you dizzle have gotten into the finesse feeshn. Recently got some of the lucky craft baits and provoke 106 and can't wait to try in the spring
Good insights. Thanks again Debo. I would like to see a line review.

love the devils horse twitch pause like a poper get bits
Appreciate the information. planning for the upcoming season will be easier now.
All the best for 2021!
Oh Look, Debo is taking tackle and me with a Tackle warehouse gift card! 😎
I tried a trench hawg from googan baits in the larger size Junebug color and had two great days at a local lake.
Great info, I look forward to the “best and worst gear” video.
Lots of good stuff there. Nice review!
Great video Debo. Nice to hear honest opinions about what worked for you vs. what didn’t work.
The Choppo and A3 anglers clear bladed tungsten underspin caught me some pretty good fish this year. Didn’t get to fish a whole lot since our public waters got shut down due to covid

Loving the fish catches thrown in! Good edits man. That provoke is money too... I'll keep the secret color quiet though...
Can you explain what the different types of hooks are used for. An example would be when you used a circle hook.
You compared the cane walker to the gunfish and that was exactly right, the gunfish 117 has more of a “one knocker” sound to it. The gunfish walks amazing, spits great and the colors just make it worth it 100% American Shad is my favorite LC color because no one else makes one exactly like it
Love it great show on Baits, and Lures, Yes I think the best and the worst of gear would be interesting? Thanks for Sharing
My best bait for 2020 hands down was the 6th Sense Curve 55, what a great little crankbait. I also flipped and pitched the 6th Sense Stroker Craw and did very well with it.
I haven't used any of the Lunkerhunt that has impressed me. Please do a best and worst gear. Rods, reels, line ect. Good video 👍
Good stuff! Yes do the gear review!
Would love to see the best and worst gear! Especially your input on line!
River 2 Sea Rover was my favorite top water walking bait this year.
Yes, please do a best/worst gear review.
Thanks
Jackhammer #1 for sure. Also the old reliable Cordell Spot and for soft Plastics Missile Baits Quiver in Superbug and Cherry Blossom.
Rage bugs were the deal for me this year! It was honestly difficult to put it down most days. baby rage bug did some damage on a pond that I fish from time to time. Yup! Don’t be shy, let’s see that gear old man.
My 2 biggest fish this year came on a Nichols pulsator and a cotton cordell spot, thanks for talking about these juicy baits
Yeah man that Lane Changer is a hard bait to get the right action with! Very technique and situation specific. And not cheap.
Love the videos Debo, a list of gear used or mentioned in videos in the description would be awesome
Hey Debo love the videos keep them coming peace out
Please make a video of your best and worst rods and reels, that will be extremely entertaining. 👍
Would really like to see the best/worse rod/reel video. Gonna be looking to get a couple new combos this coming year
Hell yeah! Another Debo vid! Greetings from Belgium man! Keep up the good work!
2021 did a lot of tackle upgrades so hope it works, great vid as always
Love the video Debo! My wife, not so much, because I’ll be adding to Tackle Warehouse’s end of year bottom line. Happy New Year to you!

Thats awesome your wearing a Cornhusker shirt under that Hawkeyes zip up.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Psh...I'd have to be pass out drunk to wear a husker shirt 🤣🤣🤣
Good vid dude! If I had a best new/worst new lure of 2020, I think I'd have to go with the ol stickbait as best, never used one before this year and it caught me tons! For worst, I'd say the drop shot, but maybe I just haven't had the right color yet, not gonna give up!
My top lures this year were all over the place from top water to a wacky rig. I’d love to see a gear review
Me it would be the Qauke 70 by 6thsense. When times were tough for whatever reason the lure got it done. It would revitalize my confidence so when I went back to a swim jig or swimbait I started to catch them on those also.
Tackle HD Hellgrammite in green pumpkin or black and z man craw in The Deal color were both very good for me.
A gear video would be great. Happy New Year to the Debo Clan.
Love the videos bro. You should do the same with your setups/combos.
The "Riot Bates Baton worm" killed it again this year for me. Shakey-head, wacky, or neko - it simply produce for me.
Great video, Debo! Would like to see the gear video.
Debo I like that you seem to tell the truth about your products that you review 👍 I've tried a few of your recommendations and they worked awesome 😎so thank you for your content
Hey Debo, great videos as always.
Yesssss, that idea it’s awesome.
Debo you should try out the lake fork hyper worm in watermelon chartreuse, and the darkest color possible.
My best of the year, while nothing new, was the booyah xcs square bill in tennessee special or berkeley flicker shad jointed. Probably least effective were the Lunkerhunt baits from the Monsterbass takeover box. Not sure any of them performed well for me, except for a not in retail soft plastic that's been productive as a trailer.
