So I just came back to Meadville from visiting. This museum is beyond wonderful!!!!!!! I spoke to someone that worked there and he was extremely nice!! I wish I knew his name. I will definitely return as soon as I can. I’ve never been inside a diesel Locomotive before and the experience alone was amazing!
I film trains in willowick Ohio (92 miles west of north east)(same csx and ns lines as north east) I use their live camera to see if any trains are coming
I keep saying I am going there and have yet to do so. I worked with a fellow about your age and he and his father are very involved in the operation of the museum. Hope to get up there this year. Thanks for the tour. So glad you had such a nice day of it. Adventure on !
Awesome video. I’ve also been up here it was a great place. I also noticed the crews a little more friendly up there than down here in the Pittsburgh area
You have "Goat line" cars at the 50 second mark, GN Empire Builder, Lake Wenatche passenger unit, now that's cool! I grew up in GN and NP country, Montana, how did they end up there? Love your videos!

That's awesome! They're great people there! I'm glad you enjoyed the museum and trains. I love going there!
👍👍👍👍👍👍 Wallie, your UA-cam Channel is awesome!!
I’m actually going there this month. I can’t wait. I’ve always wanted to sit inside a diesel locomotive. Especially that GE one.
Cool video, Wallie. Thanks for taking us along at the museum. So glad they keep the different old engines and cars.
Thanks for the visit! Even though we close during winter, we will be working hard to finish our new layout in the depot! Cya soon!
Welcome to North East. The town or Bourgh I grew up in.
Chessie 😻
And a Conrail caboose built in my hometown? 💙💙 (PC shut down the railroad car shops here in 1970)

Awesome Wallie and How Was Your Weekend so Far

Aw my hometown! 🥹
Get out! Awesome!
Very nice catches Wally
The seats facing the long hood indicate that the locomotive is ex-Southern Railway.
I agree. And the "F" on the side is on the long Hood end, definitely set up for long hood forward operations.
Nice Catch I was hoping a CSX Heratage Locomotive in the lash ups.
Awesome video. I’ve also been up here it was a great place. I also noticed the crews a little more friendly up there than down here in the Pittsburgh area
Cool awesome video
12:40 This particular locomotive was built with long-hood forward controls, as was the norm for early purchased-new NS diesels
Nice catches, since there is a live camera here sometimes my friends and i will use it to track any trains coming toward our neck of the woods

I've been watching since it's inception and know that telephone pole is going to come down
are the dorrs opened on the NS -8 engine all the time or is it just when they are opened
Only when they are open.
