Love love love all of your videos! Abandoned retail, dead malls, the train videos, the weekend show, all of em! I'm an anxious person and they help calm me and take whatever is on my mind away. Excellent work!😀😀😀😀😀
That is so cool Wallie. I'm a railfan too and watch a lot of train channels on YT. One of my favorites is from Chattanooga Tenn. At the TVRM they have steam engine 630 from 1911.They have train rides every day and they use 630 on the weekend.
My mom and dad use to take my 2 brothers and I here when we were kids about 30 years ago. I remember it well! Great video. Nice to see it again in modern times. I remember climbing that steep set of steps as a kid to get up to the top.
Excellent video, that place is beautiful! The vibrant green trees, the blue sky, the white puffy clouds. It'd be awesome to eat lunch at one of those picknick tables. For some reason, those trash trains give me a 'creepy' vibe. . . all those identical dirty blue square containers . . . slowly screeching along down the track. One wonders if there might be a body or two squashed up in one of those containers. . . . creepy thoughts.
For more than a quarter century, at approximately 5:30 p.m., a Norfolk Southern crew would report in Roanoke and start train V60, commonly known as the “Star City Stinker” or “Trash Train.” No more. On April 2, 2021, the Trash Train came to an end, as the engineer knocked off the brakes one last time and pulled from the landfill with all 27 cars in tow bound for Roanoke behind SD40-2 No. 3412. After the crew tied up, train V60 was abolished and the Trash Train became a part of railroad history .
Thats not a trash train lol that's a diesel GP 90 6 wheel drive 2 of them and 2 at the rear dam good train yup.but he may be haulin trash but still a train I love trains..I like the steam ones better..and I have a Gp9 on my layout its a chessie system I have not the real thing tho..
Great video, Thanks Wally. Did you know during ww2 they caught two German sabateur"s with explosives to blow up the bend, who were later convicted and executed. Maybe ask someone up there. Ok My Friend.

Wow that is so neat. I need to make some weekend roadtrips and see this place. Looks so bright with the blue sky and green leaves on the tree.
