I'm an electrical superintendent for a company that does water treatment plants we use 316 stainless steel Unistrut we use Evolution blades one thing we do that helps double the life of the blade is break it in on soft steel first before we use stainless steel
Wow!! Great video demonstration Rob! I've always liked the Diablo blades, being in the trades for awhile, we used those for everything!! Thanks for the comparison.
I don't need precision cuts or a lot of them. I am using a standard ren inch miter saw with a DeWalt abrasive wheel. I'm cutting sixteen gauge stainless plate. Is there a problem doing it that way that I'm not aware of? Any more dangerous? I know they say abrasive wheels can 'explode', but I have never had an issue with that.'
Awesome video. Great detail and analysis. I would love to see a comparison between the evolution blade and Diablo as well as the cheaper twin town blades. Much appreciated
Have been using carbide blades like that for decades. Learned from doing high end manufacturing on aluminum using a stick wax like DoAll or toolsaver is mandatory (coat both sides of blade then teeth while running) or guaranteed to destroy a new blade. Have you tried Evolution? Might consider using a HemSaw for lots of pipe. I use one for cutting my damascus billets. Blades are $27 each & last a real long time. Recently got some from BladeSerpant haven't been able to try them yet on 416. Buy the automatic NG 120 or better model. Have used several.
Morse reached out to me and are going to be sending me some new blades that are claiming to cut the stainless a lot better so I’ll keep you posted on the results thanks
Thankyou for the video I was worried about the tooth count cutting thing metals. I've heard horror stories of teeth breaking off, but it seems you do ok. How is cutting 0.045 tubing?
Great job on the video. I found out the Evolution yellow for stainless is awful. Bought on Amazon though, so sent it back and got a full refund. Lasted about 20 cuts, 1" sq tube, 304, 16 ga. I need a reliable blade for stainless. Thank you for making this video.
Great informative video....Just finished making 4- 8 foot cut through 1/4 inch tread plate and the blade is done....Sort of wanted to make sure there was not something better out there....the Diablo seems to be it.
Update to the last posting, I went to change the Diablo blade with another one and it turns out the metal cutting saw I have was filled with metal shavings, it has a window in the side that's is supposed to show how full it is but that is not the case. After what seemed an eternity I got the saw emptied out and inspected the blade teeth which are in almost perfect condition. I have done 3 more 8 foot 1/4" plate cuts and the blade is still in very good shape. Apologies for misleading people with the earlier comments about blade durability....it is very impressive....
I purchased the Diablo to cut some 2.5 x 2.5 16 gauge and didn't do very well. It was heating up onto the flats of the stainless steel. Can you demo an Evolution Blade? This Diablo blade is going back!.
I like the Diablo blade as well. However. I usually buy mine from Atlas Tools (not pushing advertising). Never any problems. In a pinch, I bought one from Home Depo.. and it was crap, didn’t last 10cuts. Same blade.. two different stores. I had emailed Diablo with photo comparisons and questions as to why they performed drastically different .. the only reply I got back was “email received” lol crickets. But.. In still buy their blades. Lol
Hi thanks for making this video. I just bought a Diablo Advantage can I use this one to cut stainless? Thanks 😊 it says it can cut aluminum, brass ,copper, but it doesn't say stainless.

Diablo SS was hands down better than Milwaukee SS blade in my recent experience.
What would be your recommended blade for stainless (even if you had to choose a blade not shown in the video)?

Sounds like they are both from hell. 🤣

Thanks Tim for the info I’ll look into that
@@BonifabcustomRobBonifacio Really worth trying Evolution yellow for stainless. It gave me 25 cuts of 2 x 2 x 1/4 stainless angle
I know which blade I'll be buying next! Thanks, Rob!
Morse reached out to me and are going to be sending me some new blades that are claiming to cut the stainless a lot better so I’ll keep you posted on the results thanks
If you had to cut a bunch of 1”x1” 16g stainless would a horizontal bandsaw be best?
It probably would be
What microscope is that? Nice video too, thanks for sharing
could you do one on metal saws ??

I tagged Diablo on this video and no reply but Morse got back to me and are sending me some other blades to test

I probably wouldn’t use it for stainless steel . Thanks for watching
what about new experiment
damascus blade from titanium + tungsten
I would love to try that thanks
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
How many RPM's is your saw?
Not sure exactly but it’s made by Morse
