No hidden costs if you do your job right. A lot of that stuff goes through the homeowners insurance. As for pigeons - reputable installers are using low profile brackets that birds can’t fit under, and for added peace of mind there’s netting that goes for a couple hundred bucks. Roll it into the price and still win.
