  • @-eMpTy-
    @-eMpTy- 7 місяців тому +1

Very unnecessary as your liquid temperature shouldn't be higher than around +10°C over ambient at load anyways with proper radiator space and flow. Lands you at around the 40°C on the RAM as well. If you really want cold mem, put a peltier in between. Yeah the additional power draw isn't that great (around 50-70W) but you can get consistent sub-ambient temps under load.

    • @SinonStrike

I'd assume that ram waterblocks could be restrictive ? So to avoid that it's easier to separate it?

Converting AIOs to cool random other things is one of my favorites.
Edit: hmm, just realized that because RAM uses so little power, you could easily keep them deeply subambient with a TEC and maybe only pull like 40W doing it.
Edit2: Thermaltake has a 240 AIO CPU+RAM, maybe mount the CPU block(+pump) on the chipset instead.

If you, for whatever reason, need to only water cool your RAM, don't butcher your AIO, it useful where it is supposed to be - on your CPU. Buy cheap rad, buy cheap maybe Alphacool CPU block+pum combo and hook it up to your RAM block or better - sell your AIO and make custom loop.
