    Hello! Thanks for the video! 1 question: from which bike you took this Ohlins rear shock?

    • @Mad8vCycles
      @Mad8vCycles  5 місяців тому

      it's an SV650 shock. ohlins makes them (or maybe used to) for the sv. su606

      @@vasilijburakinskij544 sv1000 would be differently valved and sprung since it's a heavier bike. i dont think they made one for it

    What brand of shock is that? I am looking to upgrade to a higher end after market rearshock. I don’t do track rides only street rides.

      that is an ohlins. but penske, ktech, nitron, elka, etc are all great options

    What kickstand plate is on it? All I found for 2nd gen was like $55 CAN items. Into XAML? If I was into dudes I'd try to marry you. I stopped programming, unfortunately, before I could switch to WPF.

    Do you know if the ZX10r shock swap will work on the 2nd gen ABS version?

    • @Mad8vCycles
      @Mad8vCycles  3 роки тому +1

      for the abs bike you want the ones with the 45 degree reservoir angle.

    • @Mad8vCycles
      @Mad8vCycles  3 роки тому +1

      so i guess... "depends on which zx10"

      @@Mad8vCycles Ahh alright. What year would you recommend? Are any of them truly "drop in" without needing any modifications? I've seen a lot of people have had to cut their battery boxes and what not.
      I've done quite a bit of reading, but haven't found any mentions of installing them in the ABS version, so I appreciate the reply. I'm also a fairly light rider ~160lbs with gear, if that matters.

    • @Mad8vCycles
      @Mad8vCycles  3 роки тому +1

      @@recreate3204 at 160lbs pretty much any zx/gsxr will be too stiff and likely need a respring. Im not actually sure having never owned an abs bike, but there was a recent thread (2 years ago is recent right?) On svrider where a guy was figuring out the same thing you were. Don't follow the "regular" sv shock swap because the abs module is right there and changes things a lot.

      slight improvement over the 323, obviously night and day vs stock or any frankenshock

      @@Mad8vCycles Speaking of frankenshocks, I've picked up a ZX14 shock... I figure the extra spring rate will be alright for the eventual luggage I intend to install... anyway, anything I should know about this swap in particular? Can I use the stock lower bolt? I read that I cannot? Any advice for a good alternative? Thank you.

      @@bobrowley4346 for the bolt and nut there is an svrider thread with the part numbers.
