As weird as it sounds, I think that every one of those teams, Giants, Chargers & Steelers are all happy with those guys and I think all three will be in Canton when they're all done.
All three are HOF in my book. Solid franchise guys. There is an argument Rivers had better chances to win a sb than Eli ever did. I think the Giants have put up some bad squads and I do not believe Eli was the reason they struggled.
Dude on the left--you ask if Chargers fans would pick Rivers over the other two. My answer: HELL YES! Rivers is an all-time talent that's wasted away for one of the worst franchises in sports. Yes, they wasted the best roster in football in the late 2000's, but when you look at each year specifically as case studies, you'd see exactly why they didn't win (ever heard of Marlon McCree?). Like, it's one of these things, if Rivers' team helps him out just a tiny bit (like Nate Kaeding just making his goddam field goals!) and Rivers wins it all, is he suddenly great because his team helped instead of hurted him? It's always an interesting debate talking about the '04 draft, and the advice I'd give anyone who doubts Rivers legitimacy in the conversation is to take the dude on the right's opinion, which is to watch Chargers games.
+G-L Studios But Philip Rivers has to do his end of the bargain in the postseason as well. Both Eli and Big Ben are clutch in the postseason and have more playoff intangibles. Rivers is going to end up the same road as Dan Fouts went unless something changes that makes him overcome his own playoff woes.
1. Rivers is the best out the 3. 2. Big Ben 3. Eli isn't on either guys level. You could argue 1 or 2 but Rivers two less seasons then both guys and yet more td passes. More yards per season. Higher completion %. Better TD to int ratio. Better QB Rating. Ice watched all three since they were drafted. Me it's Rivers.
I’ve watched Roethlisberger win Super Bowls with a great defense both times. If Rivers was on that same team, they win as well. Rivers and Roethlisberger are different men and different players, but they succeed alike in their systems.
This is where Peter’s lack of sports history knowledge hurts the show…the 2006 Chargers were the best team in football BY FAR and so was their 2009 team…but they turned the ball over in the playoffs…LT, Gates, Vincent Jackson, Merriman, Phillips, Cromartie, Jammer, Castillo
TyliteTony but Eli has nearly always played with a crappy o-line and for the past 5 or so years, he’s had absolutely no running game either. OBJ is a blessing to that horrid offense. Rivers has always had Gates at his side and LDT behind him for a good few years. He’s also had Vincent Jackson and Keenan Allen, two great receivers that played at high levels. Yes, Eli did have amazing defenses for those two SB wins but the chargers have also had a pretty decent defense. At least good enough to allow the offense some breathing room
oh and how about rivers. he has had one of the worst o lines in the past 7 years.. and cahrgers GM took out Vincent Jackson and his best wr keenan allen has been out for 2 years. he had he cahrgers in almost every season with a bad team
Rivers without a doubt went to the worst team out of the three Quarterbacks. I'm a New Yorker and I am not a Jets or a Giants fan. Eli is not in the same class as Rivers or Big Ben. People give him WAY too much credit for winning those two Superbowls. He did play well but he had an elite defense that was lights out during those two runs. All other years he has been a below average player and anyone who says otherwise is biased. I would take Big Ben out of all of the three even though Rivers has better numbers and has played for a franchise known for its dysfunction that has failed to build a formidable supporting cast. The reason why I give Big Ben the edge is because he is big, not easy to tackle, has some mobility and has more arm strength than the other two. If Eli went to the Chargers he would've been out of the league within five years. Both Rivers and Big Ben had MUCH better numbers than he did in college, the family name made him the projected overall pick in that draft.
One of 5 qbs of all time to have 2 super bowl mvps, roethlisberger has had a good o line his entire career eli hasnt, but when he does have one he wims the super bowl
Big Ben sat out many games at the end of seasons because his team already clinched the division or home field. Ben is clearly MUCH better than the other two.
Love to see Rivers get a ring he so deserves it...when the Chargers let Brees go they would have looked really stupid if not for Philip Rivers..The man's done everything he can for the Chargers!
Eli is easily the worst of the three. Take out those two post-season performances and you have a QB who has absolutely no chance at the HOF. Is Nick Foles a great QB just because he had one great post-season? Rivers reminds me of Marino. Never getting the respect deserved because of their respective organizations.
Rothlisberger was handed his first Superbowl Title the Steelers defense and O-Line and Run game were Great ! All Big Ben had to do was manage the game and not mess up. Eli beat the undefeated Patriots with one of the best plays in NFL history to lead them to a Superbowl Title. Also Ben Rothlisberger had the rape accusations and bickered with his teammates through the media, he also called out his wide recievers blaming them for his bad passes. Eli is a better QB on and off the field.
Big Ben by a mile over the other 2. There is no comparison. Big Ben has been good from the get go starting in his rookie year when he was thrown in with no prep in the pre-season. Big Ben is the better playmaker by a mile. The Steelers were 6-10 the season before his rookie year. Rivers is a stats QB who doesn't win enough. Manning has had maybe 3 good years. Manning has been mostly average during his career. Oh, and BTW Roethlisberger was the best QB I saw during the 2003 college season. He won 26 straight between 2003 and 2004.
One of the best QB draft classes in NFL history: 2004. I say 1983 is better because four QBs played in the Super Bowl: John Elway, Tony Eason, Dan Marino and Jim Kelly. Elway, Marino, Kelly and Ken O'Brien made the Pro Bowl. Elway, Marino and Kelly are enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, OH.
My opinion Pittsburgh had an all around better team especially defense I think no matter which QB Pittsburgh they had would of have won the super bowl. 2 times just as big Ben has.
TIM - No. We always had a great D but no QB. It's no coincidence that the Steelers didn't win anything of note aside from the AFCC in 95 between Bradshaw and Roethlisberger. We had Maddox, Stewart, Ken Graham, Mike Tomzak, Neil O'Donnell... All those guys had a pretty good team around them, but they could not get the job done from a QB standpoint. They either made huge mistakes or could not lead an offense like Ben.
What a RIDICULOUS conversation this was! Big Ben is HEAD AND SHOULDERS the best QB is this group, to wit: ROETHLISBERGER IS THE FIRST QUARTERBACK IN NFL HISTORY WITH TWO GAMES OF 500+ PASSING YARDS. HIS 522 YARDS ARE TIED FOR THE FOURTH-MOST IN NFL HISTORY. Thursday night marked the third time in Roethlisberger's career that he had more touchdown passes than interceptions with a minimum of 10 pass attempts. The other two players that have accomplished this feat? Peyton Manning and Tom Brady. With Pittsburgh's 2016 31-13 victory over the New York Jets, Big Ben is now 20-1 as a starting quarterback at home in October, the best record by a quarterback since the league's merger in 1970.
Are you kidding me? Ben throws receivers open; Ben makes plays. Eli does not do that. I wanted Ben at the time for the Giants (grew up in a Giants household though I always loved Pittsburgh, so I am happy how it ended up because I love Pitt AND Ben). My dad was a 60 year Giants fan at the time and wanted Rivers. He is fantastic, and is way better than Eli. Why is Eli better but when you say Ben it's because of team stats? In the last 13 years (guess how long Ben's been there?), the Steelers have not been below .500 once; many years bad OL, and their defense hasn't been good in awhile. Eli a saint? He's a Manning; his brother and he were able to skirt ANYTHING because of their father's meddling and exerting his "perceived" royalty. Give me a break with that. Peyton's off the field issues are non-existent because he's a manning though he was proven to have done some really despicable things at Tennessee, and there still is no proof that he didn't use HGH. Yes, Eli is not his brother (think of Jeter vs. Arod - Jeter is thought of as a God though he screwed everything that moved; Arod has been treated as trash; some people just want to gloss over things with one person vs. the others). The off the field things with Ben - very serious for sure, but if he did not do those things and there are way too many things out there that make it probable that he did not do those things - he may have been a dope, most likely did dumb things and partied too much and was a jerk for awhile (his admission), but we don't know any of this would have happened if Ben were in NY.
+JB Jacobs But Eli has the mental toughness to keep playing to survive and thrive in New York. Can Ben Roethlisberger survive and thrive in Kevin Gilbride Sr. very outdated run-n-shoot offense in NY? Maybe, maybe not. Big Ben also has yet to beat Tom Brady in the postseason. Philip Rivers? I don't think his Bernie Kosar-esque throwing motion hold up in the howling Meadowlands winds for a full season and I don't think he can go into cold, bad weather places like Lambeau Field or Candlestick Park and lead the Giants to wins over the Packers and the 49ers. Eli did all those things. Sure, regular season wise, he's more erratic, high risk and high reward than those two, but he knows how to do more with less postseason appearances. Just my take.
this is the problem. there is one thing that messes the chargers up. it can be the defense, o line, or the special team. those first 2 games messed up the cahrgers
Not sure of the relevance of the off the field issues, that is a variable to determine someone's greatness? A more significant stat should be times sacked or even the toughness of the division, all which make Roethlisberger's case even more impressive
Awesome comment. I tell people all the time afc north has been the most competitive division in football. There's a reason the patriots go to the afc championship every year the rest of their division sucks
We aren’t talking about the most successful we are taking about the best qb Eli and Ben are more successful than Philip but that’s just because they went to way better franchises. I say Philip is the best of the 3.
Ben was handed his 1st superbowl title Steelers had a great defense, Great Line, and Great Run game all he had to do was not mess up to bad. His stats were like 125 passing yards with 2 interceptions and 1 rushing touchdown. Also he had sexual assault accusations against him and he through his teammates under the bus through the media blaming them for interceptions he thew. Eli Manning is the better QB on and off the field. I mean come on beating the Patriots in 2 Super Bowls
MrPaladan03 the defense may have won him the game, but he got them there. His stats in those first three playoff games were top tier. And his clutch tackle against the Colts?! He also stepped up in 43 to win that game. Eli’s record is 117-117. Bens record is way better than that.
I think Ben and Phillip are about equal and Ben and Eli play on better organizations. I don't think Ben or Eli would of done better on the Chargers than Phillip has done but if you replace those two with Rivers they would of been even better. The Giants wouldn't have needed till the last second to beat the Patriots the first time.
Reading these comments and going of these two you'd think Eli Manning is better than Dan Marino or Steve Young. Can't base greatness off a team's success.
Eli is clearly the least talented one out of the 3. But if I were a giants fan I wouldn’t care whatsoever cause they got 2 rings. I’m a chargers fan and I wouldn’t think having any other qb would have won us rings it’s just our bad juju as an organization as well as shitty coaching. Phil is the GOAT
Jai Rogers Please get your info right Ben has 29 and Eli has 30 career comebacks!! Ben is 10th all time,Eli is 7th brother.Eli leads him in another statistic category so who's better.
+Jai Rogers Eli Manning also has 39 career game-winning drives and Eli is tied with Joe Montana for the third most playoff game-winning drives with five. Only Tom Brady with 10 and John Elway six have more. Do your homework properly before you open your mouth again. www.pro-football-reference.com/leaders/gwd_career.htm; www.pro-football-reference.com/leaders/gwd_career_playoffs.htm
Even in the best years for San Diego , Rivers never had a consistant O line or D like Ben or Eli . Rivers has the two stats that a Quarterback needs to be great , 1, touchdowns 2 to 1 interceptions , 2 , completion percentage . When he throws ,he is accurate !!
Regular Season 1. Ben Roethlisberger 2. Philip Rivers 3. Eli Manning Postseason T1. Ben Roethlisberger T1. Eli Manning 3. Philip Rivers Overall T1. Ben Roethlisberger T1. Eli Manning 3. Philip Rivers
Considering the regular season makes up 90% of their careers, how can you give postseason ratings the same weighting as regular season ones when it comes to you judging their overall careers? Rivers > Eli overall for sure
@@Alex-nk4pk Because the postseason is where the bigger playoff lies. There's no question that Philip Rivers has great regular season numbers and be in Canton. However, unless Rivers leads the Chargers to a Super Bowl appearance let alone win it all, he will be viewed as another Dan Fouts: great regular season numbers, but no Super Bowl titles nor Super Bowl appearances.
As Charger’s fan I like Rivers or Ben. The Steelers is a grade A organization from top to bottom and that’s backed because they’ve been relevant for DECADES and won 6-SB’s. The Giants are a great organization as well, but not quite at the level of The Steelers. The Chargers, despite building some “great teams” since the early 80’s...only one went to the SB and none have won. I feel that at the time, any of the QB’s would’ve won at least one SB with that Steelers team. Not trying to be biased, but had Rivers been put into the Steelers he would’ve put up better numbers and had a better career than he currently has. But....who truly knows?
Stop looking at team stats and giving QBs credit on team wins and playoff appearance. Look at completion stats and td pick ratio they tell the story of the QB and also look at abilities of receivers. Rivers easy choice. Big Ben has had brown and bell the whole time. Yiu can take a high school qb and throw a flat or a drag or a lob to Antonio and hand off to bell and win exactly the same amount of games.
How did these dummies miss that, yes LT had a HOF career, but he didn’t have a majority of those 8 big years with Phillip Rivers as his starting QB lol
he had 4 with EACH QB, Brees 2001-2005 Rivers 2006-2009. With Brees, he won !1! division title, 0 playoff games. With RIvers, he won 4 division titles and had 3 playoff wins.
I think Ben is the best, but I can understand the argument for rivers, Eli on the other hand I believe is a huge step down, there have been seasons where he looked like one of the worst qbs in the league.
+Drew Chung I love these facts. Philip Rivers is 3-0 against Eli Manning in the regular season. Tom Brady is 3-0 against Philip Rivers in the playoffs. Eli Manning is 2-0 against Tom Brady in the Super Bowl.
Rivers Big Ben Eli And Eli is a DISTANT 3rd place Edit: Big Ben and Rivers could prbly go either way here. Bottom line is Eli doesn’t come close to either.
Frank Rizzo let me ask you this how is somebody thats never even had a MVP vote never been a first team all pro or second, he made 4 pro blows and he got the 4th one because Aaron got hurt . he led the NFL in picks 3 times 5 he threw over 15 in a season . I get it he's a great person but far as a great QB hell no just because new York won two ring doesn't make him great . if any other qb had what I just said to you wouldn't you say he's trash ?
Absolutely not. Look at his postseason success and his Super Bowl performances. He's a guy who's top 8 all time in TDs and completions and top 6 all time in yards. I didn't even mention that he's extremely reliable and literally has never been injured unlike a lot of QBs in the NFL today. I would take a guy like this on my team in a second over a lot of starters in the NFL today. The good clearly outweighs the bad with Eli, and any non-biased football fan could see that.
@@waltersoprano823 Frank refuses to understand that football is a team game. Rivers in NY or Pitt and he would have won just as many if not more SBs. Rivers is a better MENTAL QB than either Ben or especially SHELI.
Jason Michael Gomez You’re one dumb fuck. Eli is the definition of a QB who is mentally tough. First of, he is in NY, the media capital of the world. Eli has been absolutely railed by the NY media for his entire career. People have called for his head many times throughout his career, but he’s showed them up every time. I’m not counting right now because he is obviously in the twilight of his career. It’s definitely the hardest place to play in the league. That is something that Rivers has never had to deal with due to playing in bumfuck San Diego and LA for his entire career, where he has more children than there are fans. I don’t want to hear about that bullshit that Rivers would’ve won superbowls with NY. Rivers has played with a HoF TE and HoF RB for most of his career, where Eli has had no player that is even close to the caliber of those two. Eli is exactly what you want in a franchise QB. He leads by example and stays humble all the time. Rivers should take a lesson from him after all of the bitching that he does during a game.
@@stevenrangel.4 Made out of glass? LOL I remember seeing him get his nose broken by Ravens on MNF and he never came out of the game. Rivers is like Romo as in never won a championship game let alone a Super Bowl.
@@jnyfumare oh really and how many full seasons did Roethlisberger play ??? Answer that dumbass Rivers was better than all of them if he had a defense like that he would've had a couple of rings
There are a few teams that Rivers could have won a Superbowl with. There are only a few teams that Roethlisberger wouldn't have won a Superbowl with. Hes a better qb and its not close.
Wins and losses are a team accomplishment. Winning two superbowls can't be done without a great coach and organization surrounding you. Nobody wants to play for the Chargers, hell the mannings refused to be drafted by the Chargers. That's how dysfunctional that organization has always been. Phillip rivers has been the bedrock for that franchise for over a decade, he keeps there "heads" above the water. It goes Ben, Phillip and then Eli in my mind.
+Cold Winter But you still need a QB that will lead teams to the game-winning points especially in the postseason. Playoff game-winning drives in NFL history: Tom Brady 10 John Elway 6 Eli Manning and Joe Montana 5 Russell Wilson, Ben Roethlisberger, Dan Marino and Terry Bradshaw 4 Philip Rivers 1
joesakic91 well considering Eli's defenses held teams to an average of 15.5 points per game in both postseasons he wasn't expected to put up many points.
Rivers has never had a Defense? Really? You don't remember the Shawn Lights out Merriman, Shaun Phillips, Antonio Cramartie, and Jamal Williams Defense? They were the number 1 defense at least 2 times in the mid 2k
XD not even close. Rivers played 21 games less than Eli and Rivers has less than 1000 yards than Eli. Boi Rivers has by far a better passing percentage and Rivers has more passing yards per attempt
Eli and Ben careers would’ve suffered as a bolt. I honestly believe if you put rivers in Pittsburg or giants.. rivers would be giving Brady a run for his money
@Gavin Olmedo And Phil and the Chargers didn't beat Tom Brady in the playoffs... Philip Rivers is 3-0 against Eli Manning in the regular season. Tom Brady is 3-0 against Philip Rivers in the playoffs. Eli Manning is 2-0 against Tom Brady in the Super Bowl.
@@joesakic91 you know Phil is over all a better qb than Ben and Eli just they have a ring and yes Phil has never beaten Tom but what does that have to do with Phil whooping Eli?
@@GavinsRevenge The playoffs is where the bigger payoff happens. Philip Rivers, while good, is another Dan Fouts: respectable stats that will put him in the Pro Football HOF, but no Super Bowl titles nor Super Bowl rings.
@@joesakic91 its true tho u don't need a ring to be great Dan Marino LT(chargers) Gates Warren moon idk tho I feel Phil came close tho he didn't really choke
@@GavinsRevenge Unfortunately, Philip Rivers' detractors will point to his shortcomings against the Pats in the playoffs where he has no touchdowns and three interceptions despite with one of the two appearances playing with a partially torn ACL. Warren Moon made it through his stats and nine pro bowls despite being an undrafted QB and the Pro Football HOF wanted more diverse players in there. All three QBs in the QB Class in 2004 will earn their enshrinement in the Pro Football HOF.
Eli first Big Ben second Philip rivers third. Big Ben had the worst stats of a quarterback in Super Bowl when he won the Super Bowl. The steelers drafted well and Big Ben always had a better weapons.
Hi It's me great - That's fair, but Ben has more 4th quarter comeback wins, he's like #9 or something in overall QBR for all QBs. Also, he was HUGE in our Playoffs run in both superbowl wins. And one of his comeback drives was the SB43 to throw the game winning TD. Rivers, is underrated, and has not been on a great team. From strictly a personal stats perspective, Rivers would be better than the other 2. I'd take Ben over Eli even though Eli was clutch in his SBs. The discussion between these guys is fun and nuanced. Haha
+TyliteTony So, beating Tom Brady 2X and at his own game in SBs 42 and 46 with game-winning drives, being in the Top 10-15 in NFL history in passing yards, passing touchdowns and game-winning drives despite playing an erratic, high-risk, high-reward game a la Ken Stabler is not good enough for you? I'm only curious.
Rivers fans tend to overrate and overhype Rivers himself. That being said, I think Rivers has a career 3-0 record against the Eli & the Giants. But Eli and Big Ben both have 4 super bowls combined. Rivers was drafted by a Chargers team was loaded with talent. Rivers inherited a great team from Drew Brees. And in Rivers first year as a starter, the Chargers were 14-2. 11-5 ( AFC west title and an AFC title game appearance against undefeated New England before Eli & the Giants beat NE in the superbowl) in his second year. 8-8 with an AFC west divisional title in his 3rd year. And 13-3 in his 4th year. So let's not pretend Rivers was drafted by a caca shitty team. Fact is, Rivers and the Chargers in those 4 years had a superbowl window. And Rivers & the team squandered and choked big time.
i agree that his team was loaded, BUT rivers agaisnt the pats was one of the toughest games rivers has played. he played through a torn acl. TO make matters worse, gates and LT were out. and in 2009, his kicker mimssed 3 field goals. if he made those, chargers would have easily won
No, Eli would not have won a SB in San Diego , Ben would’ve been released because of off the field issues like he had. Both other organizations are better than the Chargers , Brees who is a better QB than Eli didn’t win a SB in San Diego did in NO. They’re all good but Rivers will be a HOF same as the others. Rivers and Ben are way more exciting to watch Eli is hella boring but he wins. He beat Brady in the SB. Mad hard to do boring guy and all. Which one is better at QB right now, I’d say I’ll take Rivers but I’m a Charger fan but truthfully I think Ben is the right choice even with injuries, off the field issues etc, etc.
Again Ben roethlisberger seems too underrated for what he has done. At least Michael Kay has some sense of what a great quarterback is. How the hell can you choose eli over Ben as a quarterback when Ben is an overall better player and has more playoff wins and more division titles. Plus he made the Steelers what they are today. Because of him they have one of the best offenses in the NFL.
Ben has more division titles in an easier division. Ben's only real competition in that division is the Ravens who, while they were great for a period of time with Ray Rice, were not consistent during other periods of time in which Ben played in their divsion. Eli, on the other hand, has had to compete against the Cowboys who had a single 4 year stretch of losing records and the Eagles who, while having been inconsistent during Eli's time in New York, still have had their stretches of dominance in that division.
Love it when rivers and Big Ben are placed ahead of Eli because what did rivers do vs the patriots in the playoffs? Lose. What did Big Ben do vs the patriots in the playoffs? Lose. What did Eli do vs the patriots in the playoffs? Win 2x. Big Ben and Rivers have had better teams throughout their careers yet Eli leads them in TD's, Yards, completions, starts, most yards in a single season by a SB winning QB and most yards in a single postseason by a QB ever doing all of this in a much harder media town. Let me remind you how garbage Big Ben was vs the Seahawks meanwhile Eli outplayed in the playoffs Brady 2x and Rodgers who Big Ben lost too in the SB.
Dude take away the helmet catch and a defense and Eli gets embarrassed against the pats 2 times. Rivers tore an ALC before playing the pats and Ben has Mike Tomlin who will never be able to touch Bellicheck. Don’t compare about teams beating other teams because everyone has beaten everyone at some point.
not only rivers teared his acl, both gates and LT were both injuired. then on another playoff game, his kicker missed 3 field goals. if he made those, chargers would be in the lead.
firestrike22KTK But there's one stat that a lot of people keep forgetting: playoff game-winning drives. Tom Brady has the most with 10, John Elway has the second most with six and Eli Manning is tied with Joe Montana with five.
+TyliteTony But Philip Rivers didn't do his own end of the bargain either against Tom Brady and the Pats where he has a 47.8% completions, 441 yards, 0 TD, 3 INT and a 50.45 rating. Also, do you trust Philip to help your team win in the playoffs in cold, bad weather and also getting battered like a pinata more than Eli? I don't think so.
Rivers has been a good QB, but I'd say he's a notch below Eli and Big Ben. He might have better career stats and more playoff appearances than the other two QBs, but he hasn't won a single Super Bowl playing for the Chargers.
+09STC Unless something changes, Philip Rivers will end up like Dan Fouts: respectable stats that will put him in the PBHOF, but no Super Bowl titles and no Super Bowl appearances.
Dude your a joke! Philip rivers over Eli and ben? Rivers has been to the playoffs what twice? Tom Brady never has a team and he wins,if rivers was so great he would find a way to win,but dude blows! Ur name means nothing unless u make the big show! Once he retires no one will remember him!!!🤘
As weird as it sounds, I think that every one of those teams, Giants, Chargers & Steelers are all happy with those guys and I think all three will be in Canton when they're all done.

Ben all day. So happy Ben came to Pittsburgh he is the definition of Pittsburgh Steelers football love Ben
The rapist wasn't as good as Eli in super bowls plus he'd end up in jail if in New York
This is such a dumb pointless conversation, Eli has 2 rivers doesn’t, in the end, if you’re not first, you’re last.
Philip is da man
Dude on the left--you ask if Chargers fans would pick Rivers over the other two.
Haha yeah Ben didn't have any elite defenses during his career haha give me a break
h=well ben had the 3rd best defense in the playoffs....
lorne malvo More bias morons here. Nothing new here.
One of 5 qbs of all time to have 2 super bowl mvps, roethlisberger has had a good o line his entire career eli hasnt, but when he does have one he wims the super bowl
Big Ben sat out many games at the end of seasons because his team already clinched the division or home field. Ben is clearly MUCH better than the other two.
not clearly. ben played 1 game more than rivers and rivers has 1000 yards less than him. ik ben is better but i wouldnt say MUCH BETTER
+fmthebaron Not against Tom Brady in the postseason however and ruing missed chances for a third SB title.
Not even because he's always hurt
Love to see Rivers get a ring he so deserves it...when the Chargers let Brees go they would have looked really stupid if not for Philip Rivers..The man's done everything he can for the Chargers!
Rivers Ben Eli
I will take Rivers over both of them and seeing him play this past season hes on fire are you kidding me
Steven Rangel love it me too ! #BoltUp
Id take ben after whats been put on display by eli and rivers this season yeeesh
Eli is easily the worst of the three. Take out those two post-season performances and you have a QB who has absolutely no chance at the HOF. Is Nick Foles a great QB just because he had one great post-season?
Rivers reminds me of Marino. Never getting the respect deserved because of their respective organizations.
So you said making to the playoff all it matter? Andy dalton is better than all 3 here? Post season matter a lot.
Eli Manning has the most passing yards in one post season a record that still stands
Best TD/INT ratio - Phillip. He is the best of the three.
Best in the regular season, Ben as a combination between regular season and playoffs is the best of the 3
LT was always injured when it mattered most ( playoffs) Philip hands down
I would have taken Big Ben.
JB Jacobs Eli doesnt throw ppl open? Duh. Shut up. U dont accumulate those types of numbers without throwing guys open
Rivers.. he's about to prove them wrong!
Jose Covarrubias probably not
Jose Covarrubias he didn't do that today
+Jose Covarrubias Unfortunately, Philip Rivers missed the playoffs again.
this is the problem. there is one thing that messes the chargers up. it can be the defense, o line, or the special team. those first 2 games messed up the cahrgers
rivers is the best of the three
Ben no question
Not sure of the relevance of the off the field issues, that is a variable to determine someone's greatness? A more significant stat should be times sacked or even the toughness of the division, all which make Roethlisberger's case even more impressive
Awesome comment. I tell people all the time afc north has been the most competitive division in football. There's a reason the patriots go to the afc championship every year the rest of their division sucks
We aren’t talking about the most successful we are taking about the best qb
Eli and Ben are more successful than Philip but that’s just because they went to way better franchises. I say Philip is the best of the 3.
Ben hands down
Dude on the right said Ben would be 3rd lmao learn the game
Browning Nagle and Kent Graham.
The problem these guys forget about is Nate Kaeding, and Marlon Mcree. End of story.
Rosenberg?? Wtf
Reading these comments and going of these two you'd think Eli Manning is better than Dan Marino or Steve Young. Can't base greatness off a team's success.
Eli is the best of the 3
All three are First ballot HOF
Peter could give an answer if he knew anything about football BUT unfortunately he doesnt
A LOT of giants fans would have traded Eli for rivers or Big Ben.
I think now in 2020 I think everyone would say Big Ben
Ben is 3rd all-time with comeback wins(39).
Steelers were 8-8 2003.
Ben Rookie year they were 15-1.
Jai Rogers Yo dude his rookie season was because of the D and Parker plus Bettis point blank. No superbowl M.V.P's,no league M. V.P!!He's not elite

The Steelers were 6-10 in 2003.

I agree but i put ben ahead of rivers because I believe he couldve won a superbowl with them
Sure you do lol the chargers have no super bowls no fans no stadium and no city😂
Post season wins says it all..Big ben; Eli; rivers
Eli carried the Giants throughout the playoffs and super bowl 46 the rapist was carried by his running game and defense
Rivers is the best !!
Rivers is the best
BIG BEN easy river slightly better statistically then ben but would take big bens career over the other two no question!
I think Ben is the best, but I can understand the argument for rivers, Eli on the other hand I believe is a huge step down, there have been seasons where he looked like one of the worst qbs in the league.
Ben was the best, Eli was second and rivers third. The losers are the Raiders with the second pick who should have traded or picked Ben.
But then again, Al Davis will be making Al Davis moves that ruined Big Ben's career.
rivers head to head against eli. rivers is undefeated. eli has lost every time against rivers.
+Drew Chung I love these facts.
Philip Rivers is 3-0 against Eli Manning in the regular season.
Tom Brady is 3-0 against Philip Rivers in the playoffs.
Eli Manning is 2-0 against Tom Brady in the Super Bowl.
@@joesakic91 more like Giants Defense is 2-0 vs Brady; Chargers Defense is 0-3 against Brady. QBs do NOT play defense.

Big Ben
Eli

Edit: Big Ben and Rivers could prbly go either way here. Bottom line is Eli doesn’t come close to either.
I put Big Ben 1 with Eli 2 and Philip Rivers 3.
1. Ben
2. Eli
3. Rivers
Ben is best in regular season, but Eli is best in the postseason. Rivers is definelty last due to no postseason success
Frank Rizzo how is eli the best in the post season if he only made it twice ? He's 12 out of 14 he's trash just had good and great players around him
Frank Rizzo let me ask you this how is somebody thats never even had a MVP vote never been a first team all pro or second, he made 4 pro blows and he got the 4th one because Aaron got hurt . he led the NFL in picks 3 times 5 he threw over 15 in a season .
Rivers should take a lesson from him after all of the bitching that he does during a game.
no
Ben
I'm a life long Giants fan but Big Ben was the BEST QB drafted in 2004. There is no debate about it.
Na hes made out of glass just like Romo so Rivers is better than Eli and Ben
@@stevenrangel.4 Made out of glass? LOL I remember seeing him get his nose broken by Ravens on MNF and he never came out of the game. Rivers is like Romo as in never won a championship game let alone a Super Bowl.

joesakic91 you mean giants > chargers in playoffs. Funny how since losing that beastly dline, eli hasnt done shit in the playoffs.
When was the last time Rovers did anything relevant in the playoffs?

Rivers isn’t in the conversation because he hasn’t had the team to back him . He got screwed being stuck with the chargers
Rivers uber alles.
Playoff game-winning drives in NFL history:
Tom Brady 10
John Elway 6
Eli Manning and Joe Montana 5
Russell Wilson, Ben Roethlisberger, Dan Marino and Terry Bradshaw 4
Philip Rivers 1
joesakic91 well considering Eli's defenses held teams to an average of 15.5 points per game in both postseasons he wasn't expected to put up many points.
Cold Winter So? There's a reason why QBs get more MVP accolades than any other position in the gridiron.
Big Ben and Rivers are much better than Eli. Poor Rivers has never had a defense worth a damn.
+redfirebird2008 In terms of the regular season, Big Ben and Philip Rivers are much better than Eli Manning.
Playoff wise, I take Big Ben or Eli.
Rivers has never had a Defense? Really? You don't remember the Shawn Lights out Merriman, Shaun Phillips, Antonio Cramartie, and Jamal Williams Defense? They were the number 1 defense at least 2 times in the mid 2k
BEN, hands down over that draft class or any since.
my list, Ben, Rivers, Eli
+Gregory Nasrallah Unless Big Ben takes on Tom Brady in the playoffs.
+TyliteTony In my opinion, I switch Eli to #2 and Philip Rivers to #3.
QB"s do not play against each other, they play against the opposing teams defense.
XD not even close. Rivers played 21 games less than Eli and Rivers has less than 1000 yards than Eli. Boi Rivers has by far a better passing percentage and Rivers has more passing yards per attempt
A guy with no sports experience talking about rivers being the best;go back to cornball radio Pete.
Eli and Ben careers would’ve suffered as a bolt. I honestly believe if you put rivers in Pittsburg or giants.. rivers would be giving Brady a run for his money
My top 3 best QB in the 2004 NFL Draft: 1) Big Ben 2) Eli 3) Rivers. In that order
flip rivers and eli
don't forget Eli has never beaten Phil and the Chargers
@Gavin Olmedo And Phil and the Chargers didn't beat Tom Brady in the playoffs...
Philip Rivers is 3-0 against Eli Manning in the regular season.
Tom Brady is 3-0 against Philip Rivers in the playoffs.
Eli Manning is 2-0 against Tom Brady in the Super Bowl.

Haha
Ben is best, then Rivers, than Eli. Eli isnt even dat good.
Paul Page yeah like nate kaeding always choking in the playoffs don't tell me that it's Rivers fault it's a team sport
hey that kicker missing is their fault, they used a pick from the Eli
ivers trade to draft kaeding and merriman lol
Eli great? Not canton bound, but he'll cry to his parents and Archie and Olivia will cry to NFL and get him in only canton bound is big ben
Eli aint no saint what about the fake autograph scandal 😂😂😂 Rli is actually the worst qb between the 3
In general statistics.
But the playoffs is where the bigger payoff lies and Big Ben and Eli have postseason success while Rivers is another Dan Fouts.
So how’s Eli now? 😂
Big Ben is the best of the 3 , Rivers doesn’t belong in the conversation with Big Ben and Eli
ben
rivers
eli
Eli is really good too, but I think the Giants would have won 3 or 4 with Ben
Rivers? Is this guy on drugs?
+John York I argue that Eli Manning is the most underestimated QB in the NFL.
09STC Philip Rivers has yet to make a Super Bowl with the Bolts.
