Bad fuel causing injector issues - D12
Вставка
- Опубліковано 9 лют 2025
- Hey truckers! Do you get your fuel from anywhere? There are some drivers who refuse to stop at specific gas stations and others that will fuel up anywhere. The D12 in this video is having injector issues in this truck, and other issues in his other rig - after he stopped at a gas station and fueled both of his rigs. We are digging into this further, but we right now we think he received bad fuel and that lead to these issues.

Very good mechanic 👨🔧
Thank you for video on Volo do 12
Very good master
Many many thanks
Lucky the fragment that broke off didn't further damage the engine on it's way out of the cylinder
With the broken tip on injector #3 and the injector dumping fuel into the combustion chamber, would their be fuel washing down the cylinder wall and damaging the cross hatching?

Hey how you doing do you think its a good habit to add a fuel additive so problem like that won't happen?
Fuel OX but you should have a fuel/water separator that your checking pre/ post trip
Have they yet come up with a solution for the injector cups I know they have updates but I still hear lots of problems with them....
I'm interested in buying a couple fleet Mack trucks but I really don't feel like messing around with injector cups every year or so.
In the States we have alot of old and leaking underground steel fuel containers. Ground water is entering the containers. If you so happen to get fuel in states that don't enforce Environmental regulation your rolling the dice. Unless the station was built in the last 10 years the tank may have failed and water is entering underground,.
Second most common way for water to get into the station fuel container, is the fuel driver leaving the cap off the underground tank
Test fuel at stations you never been too. Ask when they get fill ups and take a sample the day before and the day of a new delivery. Also take one after a heavy rain. Use a water test kit
Thank you for your comment. Great info.
@@TruckYoo And drain the Davco filter then check it about 50 miles after fueling up. Its basically your only line of defense. Bit of a pain in the ass but better then blowing a hole in your block , bending rods or exploding injectors.
So test the truck stop fuel before I fill up?
@@garydownes1594 You can run the test before fueling takes 5 mins. Test is called "FCT-100 Diesel Fuel Water Content & Fuel Clarity Test"
If you dont want to spend money drain your fuel water separator. Fill up then stop and check it for water 60 miles down the road. Your best bet is sticking to new stations.
gonna review fullbay soon?
Yes. We will do one
if the injector is bad in the volvo d12 engine can it cause a low power but not smoking and consume more fuel ?
@shayder I’m still tryna figure this out
I hv a d13 exhaust gas temp not building temp , what will cause this
Can the problem be traced back to the truck stop where you bought the fuel and sue them for the damages?
