Are you gonna buy one of these consoles? I buy almost every new console release, but even I couldn't bring myself to pay this much for a series x in 2024 😂
I mean, it’s just a storage increase, that’s basically it lol. The regular Series X is fine and I’m gonna keep focusing on perfecting my physical collection and upgrading the regular Series X.

The video game market is oversaturated as it is with constant unnecessary releases every single year, contributing to fragmented player bases such as Call of Duty and completely unnecessary reboots like the upcoming Halo reboot. The PS5 Pro isn’t even necessary because it’s going to do nothing but divide the console base.

@@PowerfulRift The biggest offender of this is Microsoft with the Xbox series S. developers have already shown and said publicly and privately that they are not pleased with working on that platform. More and more games not coming out for Xbox because of the series S and X Delta differentials in performance.
@@PowerfulRiftps5 is selling very well the pro isn't going to segment the console base it's only for the hardcore player base if the series x and s sold aswell as the ps5 they would do the same instead they are going third party releasing games on ps5 to make yp for the major purchases and convincing xbox gamers not to pay for games, the main culprit is the series s it has ruined this generation.
The Galaxy edition one looks cool, but that's too pricy. Ain't worth it imo.
The SOLUTION to "all digital only" that corporations are trying to push is::
*DRM-FREE* digital. Fight for it. DRM-FREE digital allows ownership of games consumers buy.
Greatest example is GOG that provides an offline installer one can back up.

I have the series x digital and ps5 slim digital so I have a combined total of 2 tb and I just split the games between both consoles I’ll have my bestheda games on my xbox and my ubisoft games on ps5

What’s crazy, is that there are a limited edition series consoles, unfortunately it’s just they’re collaboration based and can only be one through specific means instead of being able to be purchased.
I'm assuming you're referring to those 1-off series x consoles - yeah I wish some of those would have gone up for sale. I see them pop up on twitter like once every few months and it's always like a sweepstakes thing or something lol

There’s a bunch of random ones but of the top of my head I remember two Whataburger Xbox Series X sweepstakes, the Sonic 2 Movie Series S and Oreo Series S.

Let’s be honest it’s not the price. It’s the fact that Sony just released highly limited, nostalgic, bombshell consoles compared to whatever Xbox is doing. It doesn’t help that there are those insane sweepstakes consoles that most people will never see or own.

Great video, looking forward to the eBay videos because I've always thought it's absurd that people can add the shipping prices that they do. It should be standardized based on weight, package size and distance, and nothing else. Sellers should not be able to list whichever shipping cost they want to, it's basically extortion.

The difference in 6nm vs 7nm isn't so much saving money on your power bill , it makes the chip more efficient heatwise allowing them to use a less efficient but cheaper heatpipe cooling solution .
I like it with a disc better.
They should've put the 2TB at $500 and the digital-only Series X at $400. Both offerings would then slightly undercut Sony, console sales would surely climb and at a sustained rate.

Sunset overdrive, quantam break, hifi rush, starfield, recore, hellblade 2, fragpunk, battletoads, ori, stalker 2 , indiana jones soon, grounded, sea of thieves, ryse son if rome, scorn for limited time, dead rising series, crackdown, cuphead which was limited time, hifi rush, limited time, avowed next, marvels blade next, fable series , b06 in gamepass titanfall 1 , all the backwards compatible games. Redfall is better than concord and still playable forza motorsport, kameo, killer instinct, perfect dark. Xbox has good games. And u can play splintercell and the old cods on series x. Both consoles are good xbox games have more players . Palworld was on xbox for a long time. We are already Gods in the game and u cant touch us it will take long... xbox is worth it but yes ps5 has better exclusives. And very convenient you don’t mention Games like God of War, The Last of Us, Uncharted & Ghost of Tsushima, which are all critically acclaimed games and XBOX wishes it had the same level of craft and polish as these games. Plus XBOX needs to send their games to PlayStation because you X🤡’s don’t buy games. There is a reason why PlayStation is the Market Leader.

Why would Microsoft make the Xbox series X smaller if it's a big brick? What is the point of that
I purchased the 2TB version up here in Canada.. If I did a comparison between the buying the 1TB version with the 1TB Seagate expansion card the cost would have come out to approx $854 ($965 after tax). The console itself cost me $800 ($903 A.T.) I buy consoles later in their life cycles so hopefully they have more stability and most of my remaining consoles are still running fine.
It’s $600 cause of 2 TB but the PS5 Pro is also 2 TB comes also with 2 TB you just pay $700 $100 extra I would buy the PS5 Pro instead it’s more powerful something Microsoft didn’t do I’m surprised they didn’t make their console powerful first

Pretty much an upgraded version of S Series and X Series. Great for more storage, but affordability is questionable.
I went from an Xbox one to that so it’s worth an upgrade in my opinion
Back in 2021, I said I would consider a new Xbox if it was upgraded (I have a Series S), but now that most of its exclusives are on other consoles, I won't buy it.

I love playing digitally on my playstation 5 & xbox series x because I ran out of space on my gaming shelf plus it’s very convenient not worrying about games being sold out in stores. I rather have a disc drive console because a lot of games get delisted digitally so I buy xbox 360 games physically. I like to have both options i’m enjoying xbox 360 forza horizon I got it on amazon for $40 used mint condition no scratches plays brand new which was really surprising side note i’ll never buy an all digital console don’t limit yourself.🥂✌🏾😎
Smart man, smart man. For me, I MUST have physical even when I don't have space (I'll find space eventually lol). I only "buy" digital if and ONLY if around $5 for games while season passes $15 max.

@@willjohnboy PlayStation is following the footsteps of PC by pushing towards all-digital. Xbox got an early start. The only other reason to even own Sony consoles in the near future is to get early access to timed-exclusives that would eventually release on PC.
So Xbox offers a 2 tb console for 600 and people loosing there sh!t over ps5 699 which has more features and a 2 tb storage 😂

It’s usually around $150 for a 1tb Xbox seagate storage expansion. You can’t deny ur still saving $$. Plus it comes with a stand and disc drive.

A 10% CPU overclock is not worth the asking price especially if the PS5 Pro can't hit games at solid 4K60fps even with a 45% faster GPU. XSX aftermarket is around $350. Tack on another $150 for storage expansion. You're basically paying $100 for warranty with the newer Galaxy Black edition. $200 less than PS5 Pro and less "powerful" sure but marginally no different in terms of gameplay performance.
They both suck. They should quit making consoles. PCs are cheaper and more affordable than ever. You don't need the latest hardware to play new games unless they are Triple A, which case that's dumb because new games suck.
PS5 and PS5 slim 10 teraflops. PS5 Pro 33.5 teraflops! Xbox Series X 12 teraflops. Xbox Series X white digital 12 teraflops. Xbox Series X galaxy black 2TB 12 teraflops, just 1TB more SSD space. So yeah, Sony wins big time here. If you already own an Xbox Series X like I do, than there's no reason to get the Xbox Series X new consoles at all. It's a complete waste of money and not an upgrade at all, so don't waste your money. The PS5 Pro is a way better buy.
Instead of some folks making decisions for themselves, they are listening to other folks telling them what to do. Why on earth will you buy the $600 12TF xbox over a 35TF more capable console for $100 difference. They will end up regretting their decisions when both consoles are compared side by side.

I mean, $100 for an extra terabyte of storage isn't that bad, the expansion card for Xbox is $150 for comparison, so you're saving money going with this option and leaves the expansion slot open for further expansion in the future.
With that said, if you're in the market for a new console, you're happy to go digital and you're already looking to spend $599, I feel like you'd be better off spending the extra $100 and getting the PS5 Pro instead. It's a more powerful console, also has 2TB of storage, and with Microsoft now releasing their games on Playstation, PS5 Pro will probably end up being the best place to play Xbox games as well. Of course, if you already have a huge library of games on Xbox, then switching might not make sense, so obviously, caveat all I said with your own personal circumstances.
Around the white Xbox, just spend the extra $50 and get the normal model instead. When selling the console later on, the disc drive model will be in higher demand, making it easier to sell, and selling for a higher price.
Any digital only console better have huge storage and be priced dirt cheap. Otherwise they can keep that bisch
I've waited for XBox Series Slim, but hearing rumors about XBox Series Brooklyn, I was disappointed there's no disc drive. I've decided to get regular XBox Series X Diablo IV + MW3 bundle (Walmart Black Friday 2023), and now XBox announced XBox Series X Galaxy Black Special Edition 🤦♂️

I think the galaxy black is cool, specially the controller. Might end up getting one if I have the chance. But I'm so done with consoles at this point. I'll be staying on PC moving forward.
What I don't understand is that if you already have an X, this new console isn't for you. This is for newcomers to the series X that has more memory. The original X is more than competent to handle the games were playing. What's the argument?

Xbox sales are down another 58% this year and they're no longer being sold in the Middle East and Africa. They're basically a PC company now importing more games to PS5.
If you have a series x already. There is no point buying this new xbox its the same just an extra 1 TB storage. . Easier to just pick up extra ssd card

Another man's junk is another man's treasure. It is how I ended up with both the Spider-Man 2 edition PS5 as well as the Halo Infinite edition XSX console and controller; also, Hogwarts Legacy, GoW Ragnarok, and FFXVI PS5 controllers. I admire Jacob's hustle as I am a bargain hunter myself. I know where I come from, so every dollar and cashback counts. Unlike me tho, Jacob can flip his investments after fixing them up.

Already own the 2TB SE. might pick up the Digital X for just streaming movies and shows and tv (Sling, YT, Netflix, Apple). Ordering a 2TB expansion drive soon to have 4TB of storage. Best $645 spent on a console ever. (Add $45 for bestbuy tax).
