Dan! Thanks for the kind words. We are stoked that you like our UV Slider and this pin configuration! To everyone reading this, we sent this to Dan for his feedback. Stay tuned as we gather more info on this. In the meantime, comment what you think! Your thoughts and inputs are greatly appreciated!
I’ll take one 🙋🏼♂️
I’ve been waiting for this!
This is the setup I’m waiting on! Glad to finally see a durability video from someone on the slider as well!
Can't wait for it to come out! I've been waiting for it since the two pin vertical. Also another thought would be doing a sight builder so that you can customize what cartridges and colors you want before ordering so that you don't have to buy other things to make it yours
I want 3 of em lol
Iv always shot vertical and agree that you get a better sight picture.
Appreciate you having me come on and chat about our scope options! Love the elk shape edition!
The interchangeable inner shell to go from a 3 pin to a 1 pin is so slick.
If UV can make each pin on that adjustable or at least 2 of the 3 adjustable so you can get 20,30,40, they will easily have the best sight out there!🔥
Agreed
Set pins work just fine. I have a Spot Hogg double pin, the top pin is 20, the second pin is 34, the top of the bubble is 44. I can easily shoot to 50 without adjusting the sight. I think having adjustable pins would create more potential for failure
CBE trek pro 3v is a vertical set up and the pin gaps are adjustable. Overlooked sights In my opinion. Those both look super solid as well!
Let’s go!!! This is the configuration I have wanted since they released their slider!! Thanks Dan!
UV nailed it with a three pin config. I didn’t purchase the UV two pin because it’s two pins; too much money for two pins. And the vertical is MONEY - the best sight picture!!! I went to a CBE micro 3 and went away from Spot Hogg Triple stack due to weight. CBE is a fantastic sight!!! This new UV hits the mark!!!! GREAT VID, Dan!
The 3 pin vertical sight picture is exactly why I went with the spot hogg fast eddie this year. The slider with the dark owl scope really looks like a great setup and has me wanting to go that route.
Very happy they are working on this. The only issue I see is that the current UV Slider, per their website, is order now deliver in 6 months. I am having to make an adapter because i was lucky enough to get a UV picatinny (flat out awesome sight) but then I went and bought a new Mathews Lift (thanks to you) and the only way to shoot the UV is the adapter that I have to make. So hopefully they get manufacturing ramped up so more people can see how great the slider is. And I'll have to drop more money in a new cartridge😂
Geezuz. I need this because it's cool. Been shooting a single for over 12yrs and was thinking about a 3pin vert. Thnx for the video
Been loving my slider! Great video, I’ll probably stick with the horizontal pins since they’re adjustable. But this is rad.
Bro. I literally was emailing their support team asking for this very configuration! I hope it comes to market! Thanks for tinkering Dan!
Hey Dan,
So I've been a little skeptical about your content over the past years. I felt some of your videos were biased.
Over this time I continued to watch and came to a conclusion that overall you're a genuine individual that gives your opinions on your experiences. You're someone with content that pays attention to detail which I and others look for.
Continue with your content! I look forward to each of your upcoming videos.
Have a wonderful day!
I'm diggin the Dark Owl gear. Awesome idea ! That vertical pin UV slider is pretty sweet too.
Dan sliding through with the fire as always. I'm excited to see them come through with this scope.
Great info, Dan. Personally, I like the horizontal pins. I like to see air space in between pins, giving me a better sight picture.
To each their own my dude! Hope you're doing well brotha!
Same. I have an Axecl with horizontal pins on my Elite but an HHA Tetra on my Lift. I hate to even practice with the Axcel anymore
I agree…I switched back to a three pin horizontal from the BG dual track
Roman check out the dark owl. It’s made like a tank and awesome idea
@@ElkShape I'm doing very well. Much better than when we last met. Thanks for asking, Dan. I hope all is well with you and the fam!
Really tempting. Dan, could you review the different sight bars and do a pro and con? So many options
Next bow build will have this sight. I’m still running the V3X with a spott hogg. I can’t justify buying another sight with only one bow. I’m eyeballing that Lift, as well as the new Bowtech SS. Either one will likely get the UV!
Keep slinging pointy sticks boys!
I just ordered a uv slider. They said it would ship in January. Super excited
The uv slider seems like an amazing piece of equipment. I hope I get to try on out some day. I would also like to try the release
Totally agree....Must have one!
Awesome! That was the one thing that's been keeping me from considering the UV Slider. Love vertical pins.
I like this concept more. I am the same as Dan and prefer the vertical post option vs horizontal pins. Hope UV brings this to market as an optional cartridge for the slider. I am not as concerned on pin adjustment as Dan. As long as there are three pointers tell me my distances, then i'm cool with it.
Even for 600
The Dark Owl sight though is awesome! I’ll be looking into that one as well on your website.
I want a UV Slider and sight combo so bad. However I’m going to wait and see if they come out with an adjustable vertical 3 pin. I’ll buy that instantly!
I just got turned on to the Ultraview scope and mounted a single pin on my Phase 4 mounted on a HHA Tetra max , LOVE IT , I think its a great design and even more great for the archer, the changeable cartridges at a reasonable cost is epic .... Ill run single for target/3d , but if I want to run it hunting I can throw in a multi pin cartridge , dial it in and go , or put in a magnified cartridge , etc... no need to change the whole optic , I did put a 2 pin on my Triax ( which i think is one of Mathews best bows ever ) which Ill use mostly for hunting , until I decide to get a Lift , but all in all its an amazing design with all the cartridge choices that are user friendly at cost ..... One bow many uses if you will , just change the cartridge ......
It doesn’t matter Dan, only guys like you can actually get this sight!
that scope is so sick, i need one yesterday
Got my Dark Owl on order and so stoked!!
It is cool you show a bunch of different products on the channel. For a chronic archery experimenter like myself it’s appreciated.
I’m sure this is gonna have all the flat brimmer TAC superstars sportin wood but I just can’t get in board with anything Ultraview.
Beyond that, I haven’t seen you discuss that spiffy little release holster you teased. Link to that thing? I’d like to see the options for where and how I can mount it to my pack or bino harness.
'Sporting Wood' - I just LOL'd! -DS
Oooo I like it, currently shooting a tetra tournament 4 pin on my phase 4 not super happy with it in your opinion would you run this uv vertical or the dialed 3 pin vertical!!!???
They released it!
Dark owl is pretty slick🤯
This will be my next sight if it comes out. Im gonna check out dark owl too.
UV make these pins adjustable in the vertical configuration and you have a winner!
Oh man! I would love this sight. I currently shoot the trophy ridge 5 pin vertical. Thanks for the video
Love this
Ultraview is a great company. I love the grips the produce and the new sight is DOPE!
Just purchased the UV Slider. Would love to see a vertical!!
Going to try the axcel 3 pin adjustable/landslyde. Really like having 3 adjustable pins
Axcel sights are well built and light.
The one I tinkered with in Scheels had parts fall off in the store. Also seems to have alot of delrin for climates with large temperature swings. I’ll keep my Arxos
Looking for a new site . Thank you for this review.
With the original slider uv3 xl scope could you use the dual site tape feature with your bonus pin if you cut a site tape to the yardage it shoots and align it to the fixed pin indicator on the side would it match the bonus pin as you adjusted?
Wow! The innovation is amazing! ABT!
The CBE vertical 3 pin you can adjust the top and bottom! 🤘🏻
Explain your 3pin to the sticker note please? And how setup and you use the slider yourself
I bet the neighbors hate hearing the arrows hit the target hella early in the morning 😂😂😂
Dan, I love AAE Hybrid HPs and I always buy mine from you, but they are soooo LOUD. I can hear yours, and they sound just like mine. They sound like they are ripping the air as they pass. How can we get the steering of this vane without the noise? Blazers are just as loud?
I would buy the triple stack single pin right now. I would love the top bubble if it was an option.
What about the Cbe trek pro 3v micro. Have you tried that?
Is there a light to illuminate the pins?
Verticle 3 pin and shake awake light so you turn it on it times out if you move the bow it comes back on for 4 min and repeat Then off is off
Agreed the triple stack is big and heavy but each pin has a micro drive and you can easily swap sizes. Also very bombproof especially compared to the ultraview.
The uv isn’t bomb proof? You have experience with it?
I should have clarified the cartridge system not their new sight base at least one the UV3XL I had was very delicate. Amazing sight picture but I didn’t trust the screws and had cracks in both cartridges. I believe Ultraview is aware and making it better but when I had the choice between that and triple stack it was no question for me. I hope they continue to focus on durability as they make neat products.
Elk Shape is the 💣💣💥💥!! 🤌🏿👍🏿
Got a question for anyone. I have the phase 4 shooting 75# 28” draw with a 370grain arrow. It shooting #19 sight tape witch seems way too slow compared to others I’ve seen. Also only have clearance out to about 75yards.
Anyone have this problem or know how to fix it???
I thought that the triple stack by spot hog had a system were each of the 3 pins can be independently adjusted and it's a vertical pin.
That’s correct. Vertical and they adjust
That's right. It's heavy af. I couldn't get used to the vertical design. Sits on my bench now.
Who made your release holder?
ive been waiting on them to make excactly this forever for the uv3.
Coudln't UV offer a 3 pin vertical cartridge that would slide right into the UV3XL for those that have either an UV3XL or the UV Slider. Then people who wish to have this configuration could make it happen?
Will you be at the tac in san Antonio
Dang I think UV would sell alot of the vertical 3 pin I would probly get one if the cartridge would fit
the UV3XL i would want mine with 3 green pins. I honestly almost bought the 4 pin cartridge on the black Friday sale. I was considering removing the top pin & sightig in the middle pin at 20, then drop the 2nd pin kind of in the middle between it an the floater pin. See where they hit then set my indicators on my arxos according...
This is awesome! I’m running the 2 pin vertical UV slider and I’m loving it so far but definitely thought a third pin would be useful. Cody is literally 20 minutes down the road from me. I might have to go visit and order up a custom scope! Question @elkshape - are Cody’s pins brighter than the UV scope?
Yessir!
@@ElkShape Good deal - that’s my biggest complaint!
you should do a video or just a short of you shooting your max distance on your tape that would be insane
Bro you can do some arrow vane testing in that back yard the way the acoustics are.
It would be cool for UV to match the pin gap on the scope with the 20, 30, 40 (or 50) on one of the numbered sight tape that comes with the scope.
Check out the Dark Owl. They already do this for your specific setup. Plus zero plastic and 100% made in the U.S.A.
What about CBE Trek Pro 3V?
Trying to get one locally here in va. But i cant finance it. 😅 uv....we want a three pin vertical insert
Trophy ridge has a vertical pins scope that is adjustable. And a lot cheaper
Watching this as I’m building the normal slider #teamuv 💪🏻
Hey Dan,
Why don't you have a canyon pounder?
PROBLEMS WITH UV SLIDER and it's warranty; my slider arrived from the manufacturer with the two middle screws loose on the gear track and the plastic track having a distortion where the middle screws had been tightened; this means you either have screws that back out and contact the slider or a slider that will bind and be hard to slide due to the distortion caused by the screws. It was discovered within the first 20 shots when one screw backed out and wouldn't allow the slider to slide. I contacted UV within my trial period, and they refused to exchange it, they required me to pay to ship it back for repair. Upon receipt they agreed the gear track was the problem and replaced it and then held my UV Slider hostage until i paid a $15 repair fee. When I stated this was a warranty item caused by a manufacturing defect and i received it this way, they said the UV Slider does not come with the same warranty everything else does (which is not mentioned anywhere on their website, the website says all products come with a 1-year 100 percent warranty). I've been a HUGE UV fan and have always been treated well by them and never had a problem with any of their products until now. It is my opinion that if you don't stand behind the product to be free from a manufacturing defect then you shouldn't be selling it especially for this price point, and if the UV Slider does not come with a warranty, then you need to state this up front or train your support staff, so consumers who have legit problems with defects are treated better. I also requested to talk to someone on the phone multiple times and as of the time of writing this never received a call. I fully support that this is a new product that may have some unexpected problems they need to work out and I would have no issues with UV needing to make some changes/repairs to resolve it... but i expected them to stand behind it and fix it w/o telling me it doesn't have a warranty like their other products and i have to pay to fix it. Ironically, I received an email asking for a product review which stated they want honest reviews even if bad so they could improve. I had asked for a supervisor to call me so i could share my experience w/o going public but nobody called. I'm going to post this in a few places hoping it will get to someone more senior in the organization in case their customer service is not sharing how they are handling problems such as mine.
I don’t know what people mean by “spot Hogg is bullet proof”x
Every part of my Spot Hogg wiggles, feels lose, and can’t seem to be tightened.
where'd you get the kydek hand held trigger holder?
That one is made by a company called Ivory Holsters. I also make them, but mine are molded off of the actual release.
Do you feel like the vertical pins block the target?
If they sell the vertical pins I’ll buy it.
I have a UV slider but the pins are so dark that i can't see my target on a bright day. On a bright day and the target is bright, the pin gets completely washed out even if i'm shooting at a target dot that's black... The pins are not gathering enough light. On a bright day, the light cartridge does not make the pin any brighter.... Have not been able to find a fix for this. I really love the design of the sight but i'm shocked that no one is talking about pin brightness..
The whole readon i havent bought a dlider for my bows is i have been waiting on a single pin style
I bought this sight based on this video putting me over the edge. Left handed archers beware. The left handed version of a UV Slider is literally a right handed sight installed backwards.lol I'd like for any of the people that made that decision to put an actual left handed sight on their bow and tell me how it goes for them. I've been obsessed with archery since I've been 13 (now 46) and this is literally the first time I ever bought something that is sold as left handed and it's just a right handed one. Hopefully this saves some left handed person from wasting a bunch of time buying one of the most expensive sights on the market, and also makes a right handed person think twice as well.
Why UV over Canyon Pounder?
Or just buy a option archery sights and have both of best worlds
They have got to do make a 3 pin adjustable I can’t stand not being able to make a 20-30-40
I'll just stick to my Triple Stack. I don't feel like the housing is any bigger (actually seems smaller) than the UV3XL and I love the Tommy Hogg.
Same. Only thing I hate about my triple stack is the weight.
@@JInfantry2016 it's definitely a little heavier than the double pin scope, but weighs the same as the horizontal 3 pin MRT.
The durability is well worth the extra weight
I'm in the market for a new sight and am wanting a vertical 3 pin set-up. I'm doing my research so what do you mean that the UV slider does NOT have a "dead stop"? I currently use an HHA single pin and have really been contemplating the Spot Hogg Fast Eddie Triple Stack. This UV looks pretty slick but I do wish the pins were adjustable.
Dead stop is like a return to zero on a scope.
Love my triple stack. Zero’d at 20yds for top pin, but I run it at 30-45-60 yds for the three pin gaps in the field. I love shooting “gaps” with it, very accurate. And the sight pic is hard to beat. I can’t go back to horizontal pins anymore! Only downside is it’s on the heavy side, but bulletproof.
Gday Mate, do you find the hexagonal section of shaft on windage adjustment has a fair but of play?? Granted it needs clearance to adjust, just seems a little excessive and the housing can pivot back and forth... Have you noticed the same? Cheers Aaron
Sorry that is on the HHA tetra
I'll sell you a triple stack. Heavy af and couldn't get used to the vertical pins. Sits on my bench now.
The 1 year warranty is lacking compared to other sight brands
True thats lame. Every other brand is lifetime not questions asked they fix it.
Dan, these pins are fixed, not adjustable? As for the UV Slider, can you please give me your fair input if and why is this worth 600$? Say, durability wise compared to HHA or OptionArchery or CBE Trek Pro 3V? Does it hold the 2. and 3.axis if you bump it? Is the scope cast metal, machined metal or 3D printed plastics? There is supposed to be a driving screw when adjusting 3.axis - does it work? You noticed yourself how beautifully this is solved on the HHAs. Finally, the CBE makes a Trek Pro 3V with 3 vertical pins that are not only adjustable, but microadjustable! Did you know that? It is priced approx 350$, dual indicators, metal laser engraved sight tapes,...also offered 3 or 5pin horizontal pin versions. So, why should I pay 250$ more for this (UV prototype) or 200-250$ more the HHA or the Canyon Pounder) than the CBE? Thanks. Milan
If you guys like a clear sight picture look into the easy v
When are they going to make a western big game five pin adjustable sight it cannot be that hard I would love to buy one of their sites but until it’s a five pin western big game there’s only a couple on the market and you know who they are
I've never ran a slider due to a single pin that right there comes to market I would get it.
I haven’t bought a UV slider specifically for the reason that they didn’t have a vertical pin version
Except they do and have…
@@tomshelly1 not the original non xl version with the new screws, not to mentioned they are so far behind on builds you can buy just the sight without a scope
you keep refrencing back to spot hogg yes they are a tad heavy but the triple stack is adjustable pins! weight well its negligable really as if you run it through the dovetail it lightens it up a few pounds. i have both spot hogg and the black gold mountain lite 3 pin .... black gold for bright pins but not for durability .... spot hogg micro adjust etc etc but for ease and adjustability spothogg wins hands down. coming from australia mind you.
only 2 left handed :( us lefty are scarce lol
how is this different than the one they had like 2 years ago?
Would front the money for a Uv slider if it had vertical pins but they have to be adjustable or I’d stick with the spot hog can’t be sending away every time u want to change poundage or arrows just not realistic
This sight cost more than my bow. I wish I could afford it but its way way outta my realm .
I was inches from ordering a uv slider until I realized lefties were an afterthought on a $600 sight
Cool site but I’ll stay with dialed
I would much rather have a three pin horizontal that can dial to the yard, then split gaps on a single post pin! Yeah, you’re covering up some of the animal but the advantages in my opinion far out away the negative! Great video though! Enjoy your content!
Did you steal the uv3 too?
The issue I've had with UV scopes is the pins don't light up at all from natural light. You have to use the light on the scope and some states don't allow. Does anyone know if the new model solved for this?
Have you ever kept any old bows or do u trade up every year
Horizontal pins are better.
