I live in PA and traveled to Spokane to purchase a bow and checkout Josh's shop. It really is the coolest and most stocked archery shop you'll go to. I live close to Lancaster archery, they're stocked up...but knowledge and the team Josh has just can't be touched. Just my .2

Agreed. Josh you are great. Lived in Liberty Lake back in '15 and had the pleasure of shooting both at. The indoor and outdoor range as well as having a new string and cable set put on. Both Josh and his employees were great. Thanks, keep it up and I still have family in WA that are newer to archery I send your way due to my positive experience

I want to come up and buy a bow from Josh, be tutored on building and tuning the whole thing as well as build some rip TKOs and get everything dialed. My stepdad passed at the end of last year, and shortly after my grandma (last grandparent living) came to my home for me to take full time care of her until she passed. Archery, and subsequently watching yours and Josh's videos, were some of the only things that helped keep me going. I'm grateful for the content you guys make because it's so positive. And I'm basically the exact same size as Dan so it helps a lot with where my goals are!

Hey Dan and MFJJ! I appreciate all the content that both of you provide and I'm constantly tinkering, trying to be a better bow hunter!!! I switched to archery back in 2011 and frequented SVA either buying a bow or getting equipment. I'm located in Post Falls, Idaho and it would be an honor to be featured in your broad head tuning 101 segment. Thanks again and keep doing what you do best! Cheers!

Yeah Josh, I hear what you’re saying that’s where I’m coming from. I’m in Ontario and they say their pro shops here but none of them know nothing and it’s coming to head where I had to go and buy a boat press in this and that and I still don’tunderstand it but I’m trying, so thank you

Thanks so much for sharing the knowledge. I've been doing my own tuning along with doing my friends for about 4yrs now. Archery shops in my area just do not offer tuning to this level so I was forced to get my own equipment. Toolmaker by trade so always tinkering and nerding out is natural. Keep the Mohawk Josh cause yes if you could you would.

I would definitely be interested in a broadhead tune for a bowtech just because when you guys say move the rest, well you can move the rest or the cams on a bowtech so which is correct? If I wasn’t in Arizona I would definitely come up for a in person lesson on tuning!

1:08 of video - draw stops 1/2 twist out when using Last Chance Press and Draw Board attachments. So how do you correct this? Which draw stop do you want to hit first, top or bottom? And by how much? 1/2 twist equals what, 1/16th inch?

It seems like setting draw weight should be the first step after new strings/measuring factory spec for brace and A to A. Changing draw weight impacts cam timing and draw length. My process is 1) factory spec measurement/adjustment if needed 2) set draw weight 3) cam timing 4) rest install to center shot 5) paper shooting 6) adjust cam lean to get clean hole 7) shoot to break in strings 8) revisit steps 2-6 as strings settle in. In my experience changing draw weight after tuning can impact cam timing and draw length in a pretty significant way. Am I crazy? Haha.

I would love to come up and tune my bow. I live in California and most the bow shops I’ve been in have absolutely sucked. At one point my field point was shooting straight but as soon as I popped on a broadhead even just at 30 yards my arrow dropped into the dirt and way right from the target. After finding a decent shop and tinkering myself, I’ve fixed it a bit but every shop here feels like they have their set opinions and don’t set up your bow to the shooters liking.

Well I thought I had a sure fire way to tune and get my broadheads to fly. Not I’m back to scratching my head and wondering if I’m wasting my time. I hear y’all talk about “skipping to the end” so I am curious as to if when you’re making sure everything is in good shape before you skip to the end. What exactly that looks like? If it’s shooting a bare shaft through paper or what? And if it’s not a perfect bullet that’s when you’re adjusting wheeling and what not? And can’t you fix tears by nock tuning? But then if you Nock tune that way once you fletch it changes. More clairity on that beginning process please. And ultimate what the skipping to the end actually looks like
