She is a great actress and exactly how I would imagine Demeter.
The most sad and gentle of all old Gods
Wednesday losing his queens seems like a habit now. Hope the series gets completed eventually.
Well he shouldn't have run over Ostara's rabbits.
the ending and that music........ it broke my heart
I'm still surprised that they didn't mention Persephone once in this episode, how can you mention Demeter without mentioning her daughter for whom she created the seasons for. Though someone else pointed out that there was no need to mention Persephone, Demeter clearly carries the loss of her daughter with her all the time and that it was probably made worse when she lost the child she had with Mr Wednesday.
I know right it's not mentioned once
maybe her lost child is an modern allegory of persephone
@@MissSaracroche could be, loosing a child to death. Though that's the big debate over the versions of the Persephone story, is it the story of a mother loosing her child or is it the story of a woman being unable to let go of her child, a "you didn't loose her, she got married, she moved in with her husband". One version of a story is a "mother let me go" story the other version is a "mother help me" story. Either way the life goes out of Demeter.
guys let's move on from persephone.
The music is amazing
the only one odin didnt get to fuck over in the end. my favorite goddess.
3 years now, and we didn't have this song in a full piece 😢 do we have to wait as long as we had to wait for the Lament from ODST? NOT FAIR... I want to listen to this masterpiece and enjoy it in full length on repeat, till there are no tears anymore to cry and till all the broken pieces are washed away... sigh...
You know the world is screwed up when Gods start to commit suicide. First Donar, now Demeter. Wednesday knows how to screw up relationships
Then again that's the version of gods who came to America. Their originals ones might be doing ok in their home countries - Scandinavia, greece/italy etc.
I don't feel Demeter commit suicide. I think she do something else.
@@agenttheater5 But which version is the original? The strongest or the one so old that barely anyone remembers it.
Having the previous episodes assembling the historic context, and adding the light, the music, the actors and their expressions, this is one of the most beautiful scene that I saw (and reviewed) in series.
All seasons are awsome!!! i want a 4 season please!!1
Good scene this. Season 3 is a different take on the whole thing...there's been some great performances here. Ian McShane being the standout actor. I love that end scene for Demeter...hell of an exit but on her own terms.
this is the first and only time we see Odin truly sad.
we need this song !
Don’t Go - The End Of Demeter, Andrew Lockington
@@planilhador still not out anywhere as far as I can tell
Need this music!
Don’t Go - The End Of Demeter, Andrew Lockington
What's the music name?
Don’t Go - The End Of Demeter, Andrew Lockington
Why she vanish like that?
there are times even for gods when they want to rest they have been on this earth for the longuest time they just want to return to nature
Well she's not dead dead, as long they remember her name and she gets some form of attention she'll be aroundish. I think this her Returning home, from existing in the human consciousness to existing as nature
