It is likened as a fence separating two things. One desires to sit on the fence as they enjoy what satan has created and what YHWH has created. One likes Disney and Anime and the Kingdom of heaven. One is satans universe full of many blasphemies and divination "magic". The other reality.....but man always delves into the forbidden fruit.

Imagine being able to HUG JESUS?! Being able to feel that love and passion in person. I think I would melt.
I am not sure I *could* hug Jesus, I'd be so overwhelmed. I'd want to hug him, but it would feel like more of an honor than I could bear.

I agree!! Praise God! I was delivered from Depression. And as soon as I felt it lift off of me..I was given by the Lord an amazing feeling of great joy that I couldn't explain . It was so strong that I just had to dance . So I danced in my bedroom like no one was watching me. I have never felt such joy. But the Lord knew that I needed that joy. I'm so blessed by the Lord. He took away my depression!! He can also help you with WHATEVER you need. He can give you great happiness too. Praise The Lord . He can do miracles in your life too. Just have to believe. Of course, God has a sense of humor, just look at the platypus! Look at how many animals play. And the Bible tells us that we are made in God’s image, so if we have a sense of humor, it stands to reason that, so does He!

You thank Jesus for his humour in that scene? You know that isn’t Jesus right? His name is Jonathan Roumie. Nobody knows if Jesus actually had humour like that, those aren’t words from scripture. Sure he might of had a sense of humour but it’s dangerous to start assuming things about Jesus that God hasn’t chose to reveal through His word.

God's the clean shit! He literally created comedy in the begining. In your Bible first verse. First Word. Bereshit, “In the Beginning” He's also the Alpha! So no one can claim that their "the shit". Now when I read water into wine or women at well or raising dead etc, I think of the scene in movie an its like Ya ya been there.. I think the best part about this is that humor doesn’t have to tear people down. The humor in this show is just… silly and yet genuinely funny. It’s simple, doesn’t try too hard, it’s very hard to explain, but you know what it’s like.
Hah! Every scene is so awesome. When people criticize The Chosen and say things like "you shouldn't pay attention to anything that isn't the Bible or said in church, etc", well, after a couple of decades of not even opening my Bible, The Chosen has made me start reading it. Now I read it every day. I'm more interested in it than ever before, and I'm inspired to serve God in all things I do.

That was the whole point. People that always connected to scripture or were devote Christians beforehand dont seem to understand that there are people (like me) who struggle to connect to the Bible. I always believed but I just couldn’t connect. Having something that puts those missing pieces together helps so much. Of course I know it isn’t a perfectly accurate telling of the story but it adds clarity and depth to those stories

@@ichernichenko it meant to disarm the other, as in make your interlocutor lower their guard, it's even a call back to Proverbs 15:1 "A soft word turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger"
@andres_david25 this is not the same type of "disarment" that is being done here. Proverbs talks about situations of anger that's 1 and 2 Proverbs is talking about being humble and answering in meekness, not about joking . "Jesus" is represented here as joking during normal conversations.

Before I watched this show, the idea of Jesus cracking jokes never occurred to me, and I couldn't picture him laughing at anything. So this aspect of the show just.... warmed me from the inside out. I can't wait to meet Him in person ☺️
@krd4447 I absolutely hear you! That's an amazing story. I've known Him pretty much my entire life, but I pictured Him as this austere being that grew sick of me and how many times I'd come back to Him asking for forgiveness for the same thing. I've only recently started accepting that He's the sort of God who literally does a happy dance when I open up and talk to Him. All that to say, this show demonstrates the human side to Jesus that I tend to forget is there, and I've never loved Him more.
@ladykaeproductions147 Jesus is God, the trinity and all. Jesus also has two nature's. Human and divine. So of course Jesus like any man would joke and laugh. He embodies the best of humanity as he was made to be the perfect human so we could be saved.

@@ladykaeproductions147 I get what you mean, I do think that to much of either view is harmful. Seeing Jesus as only this stoic being can be harmful also seeing him ad this overly joking person only is harmful. I think the show does a great mixture. I hope it gets more people to read God's word.
This is why I rely more on this show to know what Jesus is really like. Apart from what I learned from my parents and how I viewed my faith growing up, I can truly see that Jesus is characterized as a parent. The ultimate parent of everyone. Like our biological parents, Jesus teaches us right from wrong and why, and has room to be funny and lighthearted while watching us grow.
When John baptized Jesus, the Holy Spirit descended on Jesus in the form of a dove. Since Jesus is "filled" with the Holy Spirit, he would exhibit all of the fruits of the spirit, one of which is joy....so The Chosen absolutely nailed it by giving Jesus joy and happiness. The best scene of the first 3 seasons is when they all jumped in the river with the woman with the flow. Incredible.
Yeah, I really do like this scene as well. All the deciples were like young kids. They are all adults but this scene shows their childlike attitudes towards each other. Most of all the fun of being in the water. Playing higgy back. Splashing water, diving into it a lot of fun. Very cool. Thanks for THE CHOSEN, CREWS AND CASTS ALIKE, and everyone else involved. Now I learned so much and love my relationship with god I know he loves and cares for me AND HE LOVES AND CARES FOR YOU TOO! I sincerely cried when I saw that scene for the first time. I cry EVERYTIME I see that scene to be honest. His child like enthusiasm. The surprise of him finding out. The goodness conveyed throughout the entire scene. It renews my faith and a fire stirs in my spirit.

@@favourpeter9386personally for me while I have gone to church and listened to the scripture I have always had a hard time connecting to it mainly due to how the Bible is written so it is nice having something that can give a different perspective. I give a lot of credit to people who do seem to be able to push past that, just realize there are a lot of people who struggle with that. Just to give some context I also have struggled with Shakespeare, Mark Twain and other secular books that have odd wording- I frequently seek out sources that have an easier to read interpretation so this isn’t just that the Bible alone is a issue.

Joy is one of fruits of holy spirit. Humour makes us happy and joyful.
Of all the things I love about this show, and there are many, portraying Jesus with a sense of humor is at the top of my list. This is precisely the person I had in my head all these years reading the gospels. Think of it - little children flocked to Jesus, rulers and peasants were equally comfortable approaching him, the “sons of thunder” - there are so many hints in the Gospels of this being an integral part of Jesus’ personality. It took a team who really understood the Gospels, and the person they portray, to bring this to life. Thank you.

I have my issues with some of the writing in this show, but overall, I'm very pleased with the human Jesus they show us. Not that it's the first time. Victor Garber in Godspell (the only Jew to play the role that I know of) is literally a clown. But that's not an attempt to show the historical Jesus, in his own time.
They are going to make mistakes (we won't all agree on what those mistakes are). But we should enjoy this while we have it. And learn from it.

@James Cheddar You may be right, though I'm not sure we've seen enough to warrant that assumption. And my problem with that theory is that Judas took money.
Whether we believe he really did in reality or not is beside the point, since the gospels say he did, and this series isn't going to offend the people who fund it by playing around much with the gospels, not that it's possible to be 100% faithful to all of them, since they contradict each other a lot.
I think this Judas is portrayed as sincere, well-meaning, and terminally confused. His convictions are built on weak foundations. Jesus knows this, anticipates the betrayal, but Judas hasn't made that decision yet, and Jesus has to give him a chance to make a different choice. Anyway, he clearly knows what's coming, if not necessarily the precise means whereby that happens. He's only demi-omniscient. It's an interesting take.
Wherever they go with it, it's a guess. We'll never know. Some scholars don't even think Judas was a real person. But the overall consensus is, they wouldn't have had one of Jesus' own followers betraying him if that had not happened. The Doctrine of Embarrassment.
Btw, did you know there's a song "Stand Up for Judas", by the Scots folk singer, Dick Gaughan? It's pretty good. We discussed it once in a class I took at the Irish Arts Center. The people running it were pretty left-wing and liked it, but when I said I couldn't stand up for an informer, they had to admit I had them there. ;)
@James Cheddar I respect that interpretation, but the gospels were written long after both men and everybody who witnessed the events in question were dead. Even the other disciples might not have known his true motives, and would have been disinclined to attribute any other motive to him than greed, due to their sense of grief and loss.
None of the disciples believed Jesus was God Incarnate. That idea took a very long time to take hold in what later became Christianity. They believed Jesus was called by God, almost certainly thought of him as Messiah, but the Messiah was not God, but merely God's earthly servant.
Jesus is said, in the gospels, to have told the disciples he would be betrayed and killed, then rise again. Peter was reportedly horrified and enraged by this revelation. impacted Judas? Whatever Jesus said in reality, and whatever he meant by it, Judas might have simply wanted to see if Jesus could be killed. Or he might have felt Jesus was failing to be the Messiah most Jews expected, who would violently overthrow Roman rule.
Again, I'm not saying you're wrong. It could have been that way. But it could have beena lot of other ways as well. The gospels are stories based on things that really happened, and they are partly allegorical in nature They don't agree with each other on many points. So we have to decide for ourselves what to believe about that.
If you want to adhere strictly to the letter of sacred texts, without thinking seriously about their underlying meaning--aren't you being a bit like Shmuel?

I respect your beliefs, but this isn't about belief. This is about history, which I studied very seriously years ago. And history says we don't have enough information about Judas to form any reliable opinion of what he did and why he did it. We can argue about it as long as we like, and we will. But when the argument is over, we still don't know. We just know the story moves us.

Without a doubt, your depiction of Jesus' full humanity with a wonderful sense of humor has drawn people to The Chosen. Our historical focus on Christ's divinity has forgotten that human piece, that connection to our own humanity, the reason God came down to Earth and sacrificed Himself for our sins, Immanu El. The script writers and Jonathan Roumie's acting have brought a "version" of Jesus to the masses that has and will continue to draw many more people to the Lord. I too use to picture Jesus as a serious man until The Passion of Christ and now Chosen. With the latter being way more effective on me. Ultimately causing me to consider just how human Jesus was while being God. And realizing his interactions were much more deeper than healing people, and giving profound words of wisdom. He was absolutely nuanced. And seeing that on Chosen broke me in a very good way.

This show really makes Jesus such a warm and friendly presence. I love it! I want to be a friend of Jesus!
I loved every scene in this video. Naturally, Jesus wouldn't be fazed by any haunted rooms! Most Hollywood films of the 1950's/1960's (and the stiff acting) depicted Jesus as cold and aloof like a statue. In childhood, I was taught my religion in a strict, disciplinary way, so sadly, a judgmental and distant Being was the way I perceived Jesus. But The Chosen series has got to be the most spot-on portrayal of Our Lord. I hope The Chosen brings the hearts of millions more people like me closer to God.

I had a great depression in my life. It was getting to the point where I felt like I couldn't get off my bed. But the Lord delivered me from depression. He can do that for you too. Just believe in him. I was so happy the min he did it. I was so happy that I began to dance in my bedroom. I laughed and smiled and I hadn't felt that kind of joy before. It was wonderful!! The Lord can do that for you too. Just believe and call out to him. He loves you so very much. There are no words that I can express to tell you how much He loves you. Please tell me the scripture that says God is a God of humor? I find no Humor in the bible. Certainly not from God. He is a God of vengeance, but a loving God and sent us Jesus because we could not live up to His laws. There is no humor there.

What I like so much about this series is how it makes Jesus Christ so much relatable than any other depiction of Him that I've ever seen. So much more loving.
Jesus always had a sense of humor. What sets this series apart from other bible based shows is the fact that you guys recognized this. Usually other series treat Jesus like some monotone serious guy, and, not to offend their work, but... It gets boring. Your portrayal however? It's not only biblically accurate, but it keeps my attention. It keeps me drawn to the screen. I end up laughing as well, that's how great The Chosen is! Keep up the good work.

@@cw9719 There was a passage where Jesus likened a rich man trying to enter heaven like a person trying to enter his camel through the Needle's Gate (not the eye of the needle. That translation removes the humor part). The camel literally has to lower its head, kneel awkwardly, and pass through a very thin and narrow gate while carrying tons of loads.
Only a fool would even use a gate only made for people as a camel entrance, but the sarcasm is there.

I always think of how Jesus named James and John "sons of thunder" in the Bible. Now, he HAD to have had a really good sense of humor when he did that!! He was making fun of what they had said earlier, about calling down such things on their enemies! He had a very good sense of humor and it is there to see right in the scriptures.

Many people will probably say that Jesus was nothing but serious and strict during His 33 years of ministry, but being able to visually see this other side of how Jesus is interacting with people is just heartwarming. I absolutely love this series and how it brings Jesus to "life" so to speak. The writers of The Chosen are truly gifted and anointed by God. The actors are wonderful in their roles and of course, everyone who is instrumental in the creation and execution of each episode are amazing! That's one of the things that make The Chosen stand out. No other director truly considered about His personality along with the others.
Its not just jesus but many of the main cast and characters are 3 dimensional people i mean real people. Not wooden characters that are bland. And yes the chosen portrayed jesus the best than any christian movies have.

I love that this show takes what we've read in the Bible and shows us a more understandable relatable view of it. I've read the stories plenty and though I generally understood, this really brought the stories alive and I absolutely love it. It's an amazing way to share the word that everyone can embrace and understand and I just love love love it. And I'm patiently waiting to see season 4!!!

Hell was made for the devil and his angels you should watch billy garham give your life to Jesus we are in the last days and Jesus loves you and he shedded blood on that cross without the shedding of blood sin cannot be forgiven and sin is very serious in the eyes of god I was depressed to and sinned for fun I had suicidal thoughts I remember in my room one night I told god that of things don't change I'm gonna kms I was sorry weak and at sometimes so weak I felt like I was dying then I remember a really good day came a day I loved so much and wanted more of so on that same day I remember saying god, I'm just gonna trust you and when you try to do something right the devil attacks you so the next day was horrible I don't wanna say how it was it was just horrible! I stayed strong BC after so long of trying to go to anything else but god they all failed me so I held on to god as the reason let me skip to now and say I started off faithless now I'm so faithful in god I started off worried for my future now I know its something gods gonna handle I'm not feeling depressed anymore the whole year of 2022 was hard but with god I made it threw! The Haunted Room scene was and still is my favorite. Makes me wonder if Jesus Himself really did say that. It's scenes like this one that make me look at Jesus as more relatable, than just knowing He's the Son of God. Jesus really was 100 percent man, and 100 percent God.

This part of the chosen is the best depiction of Jesus with the little children. My children now know him better and joke with him in their prayer time ❤🙏🏽 it brings tears to my eyes. I hope all the children in the world know that Jesus and have no fear in his love for them, Amen!

The idea that Jesus would be like a solemn monk, all sombre and serious all the time, is silly. He is the Lord of joy and happiness. He invented laughter. He made us with minds that appreciate humor and wit.

My pastor once talked about Jesus being a fun a guy, funny and fun to be around. Someone who told good stories. His proof of this was the fact that children loved to be around him. He has since passed away but that was something that always stuck with me. This show is just more of what he spoke about that particular Sunday.

This series had a very positive effect on me, as you watch each episode you will know deep down some things are meant for you Holy Spirit will speak to you, it's gonna be an amazing experience I felt it and I hope those who watch it will experience it too.... He will touch you, your gonna praise and worship Him, He will reveal His love for you, Almighty God whom the seas obey, mountains bow has come down just to reveal this message that His love is profound.. He healed me of my sicknesses and I glorify God for His mercy has no end, I pray my brethren you experience Him too, may He touch you and heal you your sickness, sorrow, depression no matter what impossible thing it is He will heal you...
