Good point about your speech Alex. As a side effect your Italian accent almost completely disappeared when you're talking to the camera. But there's a part of me that will always miss the 2016 super fast talking italian accent wifebeater wearing patchy moustache swearing good old Alex.
work your oblique with a twist movement and train your lower and upper abs . for lower back deadlift , good morning and back extension....... after 2 months train without belt. that what i do , train your lower back every day
incline dumbel press hurt my shoulder a lot sow i switch to barbel press WITH ALMOST 30 DEGREE , work your rotator cuff with cable or weight , stretching , and over head press 2 times per week with close grip tuck your elbow , work your rear delt too
honestly Alex I'm really impressed. I've always respected you for many reasons but you seem more comfortable in yourself recently and especially in this video. Nothing seems forced in an attempt to be 'manly', you just seem to be acting naturally, which ironically, is the 'manliest' way to act.
Mad respect for you, Alex. I've seen you almost become a completely different person over the years I've been watching since you only had a few hundred subscribers. Your honesty and knowledge is what keeps me supporting.
Happy New Year 2018! Let's make this year even better than the last. Also, let me know what type of content you want me to release! I'm here for you all
I've loved gymnastics for a long time now. Haven't had a chance to give it a try sadly. Excited to see how it goes for you! If you have an interest in philosophy, I'll suggest reading Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance. It's slow, and sincerely has many flaws, but its an amazing book. Give it a try, it won't dissapoint
Id love to see a vid comparing overhead pressing movements with a landmine press for shoulder development. Or just shoulder development content in general
1:07 As a guy who's currently training to become a paramedic, I can say that the feeling you get when you know you've positively influenced someone else's life is one of the best things ever. Not only is it a noble deed which benefits others, but it improves your own life too. It's difficult to describe, but for me personally, it just puts a little more "spring in my step" so to speak. I feel that during the ultimate moment right before we pass away, these are the kinds of things that we remember which will help us comfort ourselves, knowing that we made a difference. I say this because many of the patients I helped care for in their final moments all said something about wishing they had spent more time doing positive things, e.g. spending time with family and friends, helping others, investing time in their passion, not being so concerned with negative things, asking out that person they never had the courage to ask, not mistreating people etc. You can learn a lot about what's important from those with literally just a few minutes left. Much love and respect brother. Keep doing your thing cus' you're definitely on the right path.
Alex, I know you hear this a lot. But you are probably the most inspiring person to me. You inspire me to defeat social anxiety, become more intelligent, and get big asf naturally. I love you man.
Hey Alex, don't change how you speak. Your swearing expresses your natural sincerity and emphasizes your good instructions. This will help get your message through to those who seek your guidance. Keep up with the no punches pulled approach by telling us what we need to know and not necessarily what we want to know. Your physical results and performance numbers speak for themselves. Wishing you and yours a Happy and Healthy New Year..... and looking forward to your announcement of your second 100,000 new subscribers!
Thank you, I will always be real brother. One thing though, my desire to swear isn't there. So I am still being natural, it's just that my way of thinking has shifted. That said, I still plan on swearing but not every few sentences like I used to. Happy New Year 2018!
You don’t need to swear to be real. o someone who is more professional who comes across his videos may be turned away by that immature type of language. It’s a very smart and adult decision to clean up your language.
I just wanted to thank you man, you've completley revitalized my training and I'm hitting PRs left and right with my injuries. I just hit my 95lbx5 OHP today and it was fucking awesome. Happy new year man, I'd love to train with you one day
2017 was a very hard year for me. Lifting was the thing that got me through it. Alex, thank you for the help. This channel will always be a positive place in my life.
Thank God i found your channel bro, I used to watch a lot of youtubers who talk BS and although I didn't know anything, it just didn't make any sense to me. And when I found your channel I was like wow, NOW THAT MAKES SENSE! And since then I pretty much only watch your videos and I have learned so much. Thank you Alex, I wish you to reach all of your goals, OG SUBSCRIBER HERE!!!
That’s crazy man you had 5K subs when I first found this channel and I loved it. You have grown so much and deservedly so, I’m glad a lot of people are getting actual natural advice that can help most of us here who want to get bigger, stronger , faster. Thank you for everything you provide us
It's awesome how you're shifting to gymnastics at the same time that I am. A big goal of mine is to achieve a full planche, front lever and press-to-handstand. Hope to see you making all kinds of gains in 2018 too 💪💪💪
Best wishes to you man I use your methods in the gym, I enjoy your personality, But this is my favourite video you have ever put out. Sending my appreciation and best wishes to you, because to see you speak the way you did in the first half of the video and what you spoke about has earned the highest respect from me and I hope others, Happy New year From Australia
2017 was a good year, I learned a lot from you Alex! Been here since 7k, although not very active in the comment section. Your content is amazing and is getting better and better. The mindset is great, also your personality is very unique in a good way. Keep being doing you man. I definitely have realized it's all about the mindset, and I will make mine a strength during 2018. May 2018 be the year of gains!
Thank you for cleaning up the language, It allows me to watch your vids with my 7 year old when we're all downstairs without worry. Peace my Friend. You're my favorite fitness channel.
I liked you back when you were a squeaky and skinny little kid and you’ve grown into a solid dude with a good head on his yoke. Keep at it, man. And if your looking to up your work capacity check out girevoy sport ( competition Kettlebell). The jerk and long cycle are pretty easy to learn once you figure out the breathing. Stay strong.
Thanks for the great videos Alex, you're the realist jacked yoked guy on UA-cam, your philosophies have helped me tremendously in my lifting career and I've been watching you ever since you had less than 30,000 subscribers. You're a great person, you've got a great mindset and I look forward to seeing your channel grow and for more people to see what a real natty can look like. You the man brother.
Thank you man. I’ve just gone through a bad breakup because I was lying and cheating. From today on I’m gonna focus on changing myself and be positive like you. Thank you alpha
You are an inspiration Alex, keep up the good work! Plan on getting naturally enhanced in 2018 with your help after I finish up my novice phase. Cheers!
Thanks Alex. Never really directly trained my neck, trap, glutes and forearms before you pointed out how important they are to looking jacked. Gotta say, my wife loves 'Bear mode'. If you're trying to go Bear mode intellectually you should check out some of these podcasts; for history, Dan Carlin's Hardcore History, for science, religion & philosophy try Sam Harris' Waking Up podcast and Radiolab from NPR. Also, Joe Rogan's podcast is a mixed bag as far as subjects go, but it's absolutely phenomenal and hilarious.
It's really cool to see how you've matured over the years. Physically, mentally, etc, you've inspired me to move forward and change myself as well. Thanks for all the awesome advice in 2017 and even better advice coming in 2018.
I found your channel in 2016 October. before that, i visited your website a few times. I witnessed how you grew and also how you are getting better every day. Respect man. You changed many lives including mine.
Instant Karma rewards his sincerity with 2x subscriber count in a week. Good on Alex. Legit broscientist and top youtuber. But most a decent dude. Happy New Year
I don't wish you guys a happy new year. But what i do wish you, is that every moment is spent fully conscious, enlightened, and magical, because there are no usual moments, because the only thing we have is this moment, you are always in the here, and now, and if you are reading this somewhere else, you are still in your here and now. And remember, there is never nothing going on!
Serious respect for you Alex, especially for what you said at the beginning of this video. I held you in high regards due to your quality, informative content, and now I can add character to that.
Let's fucking bring it bro, gonna achieve all kindzz of strength and size goals this year. Can't thank you enough Alex for continuously sharing your knowledge and saving me from hours of wasting my time as a beginner lifter. Peace
Its key to self assess one self and shape all those corners that are still a bit soft or rough on us. We are as strong as our weakest link. Very mature speech man, the best to you.
Happy New years brother, in my opinion it's very adult and professional of you to recognize your mistakes and decide to change them, especially since you knowingly wouldn't have to and you'd still have success. Shows that you're a genuine person. Already thought you were a good guy buy that upped my respect x2. Honestly trying to adjust my temper and learn how to push through life with a cool head instead of blind rage. You've had a huge impact on my mind set as well as my brothers, and in turn the way we impact others, Thank you for everything. You're a great man.
Alex you helped me so much in the gym, i got tons of respect for you my man! I know youre gonna always go forward in life and your goals. Keep it real man
We appreciate you too, Alex. You’ve probably been my favourite new AND OVERALL channel this year. I can’t believe I went so many years without coming across your channel.
Finished my first week of my second NE cycle. Got some Elitefts bands and now that I know what to expect I’m cranking it up to 11 for this cycle. I bulked up a little too quickly but I’m gonna ride it out for another 4-8 weeks before cutting down. While I’m appreciating the NE gains I want to stay a bit more athletic and lean since It’s Arizona and it’s hot as balls always. Your channel keeps me on-track with my fitness goals and I would totally be down to hear more lifestyle related content as well. I really appreciate the community you built up. Anyway, anyone here in the Phoenix area that wants to hit up the ASU gym? I’ll buy the pre-workout coffee.
Urgency I'm right next to you in tolleson, also a truck driver so I'm not home a lot. I've been doing calisthenics and kettle bells on the road, and probably getting a Nationwide anytime fitness membership soon.
I live out in Mesa a little north of 60 and 202. I know ASU is $10 for a guest pass. I also have a YouFit membership but im not sure what the guest policy with that gym is but I can use all their locations.
Alex I would just like to say thank you! I have progressed so much with your advice. You are such a valuable source of information for Natty's like us!
Thank you for all of the great content Alex! Hopefully, in 2018 I move past the novice phase, but regardless the gains are about to begin! I plan on using the knowledge I've learned from guys like you and Eric Bugenhagen to take my lifting to the next level. Thanks for that man! Beyond lifting, we are going to become much better men in 2018. All of the negativity, that's in the past, 2018 is ours man!
Hey Alex, really big fan of your content, I just wanted to say that the quality is really good right now, so there is no point in wasting valuable money on a different camera or equipment. The video is always to the point and the sound quality and video quality is really good too. No echo either which makes it really relaxing to listen to. Just a tip brother
Alex on January 3, 2016 I came across your channel and I bing watched all your videos man. Ever since then I became a fan. I messaged you on Facebook a couple of times.
Thank you VeganDestiny, over a year since being vegan and since my pre and post blood test scores im VERY confident in my decision! We want more vegan gains!
Just wanted to say thanks for all great videos that have literally changed my life, and to say that its amazing how much you have evolved over time on the good side. Thanks for helping everyone
i like you man, your fitness philosophy has really helped me see things a certain way. you Always deliver no nonsense and clear infromation, and you are very honest to us and yourself. i also like that you're trying to change yourself for the better.
Good on ya man, that is the measure of a man right there. I know a certain Blaha that deserves no apology, but you will probably be better off simply disregarding those kinds - all in the name of positivity (it will starve those people of the controversy they need for their views anyway). Good stuff Alex!
I love your channel more and more Alex!! I love that there will be less profanity as someone who doesn’t use it I appreciate it much more than most people.
We share some of the goals, specially the most iimportant. Being just overall, a better human. 2018 is gonna be the greatest and strongest physique and personality. Let´s go!
2018 goals for me: 605 deadlift (already getting close to it!) Improve my bench further (no specific weight, bench is frustrating for me so I'm gonna be patient with it) 500 pound squat! Cut below 200 pounds ( something I haven't weighed in about 12 years) As for goals outside the gym: Improve my mental health issues Less swearing as well Save up and move out Learn how to weld. Cheers Alex. I really hope you and everyone else here improves this year as well. And I'm honestly excited to see ho w you improve once you go back to heavy lifting, I estimate a 1200+ pound rack pull above the knee 😂
God bless you Alex! He has gifted you with a strong mind. Thank you for being an inspiration and teacher to all who desire knowledge of gains. 2018 is gonna be a year of straight grind and progress in all areas of life. Let’s get it!
Very big of you to admit you faults. The video to Vitruvian physique kept me away from your channel for a long time. Been loving your content over the past 4 months. Keep it up.
Been following you since 20k subs Alex and although I was a fan of your content I thought you were a bit of a douche and the way you went after Igor from Vitruvian Physique did make me lose some respect for you but I have seen you change as a person over the last year and the way you conduct yourself and now consider you one of the realist and honest guys on UA-cam. Your content is awesome and look forward to watching your videos in 2018.
I've been going to the gym for like 3 months now and your content really helps me. My shoulders would be so fucked right now if it weren't for your videos
Thanks alpha destiny you made my traps and neck grow like crazy in 2017 ;) I used to preach small traps, but I gotta say the traps and neck just adds that extra dimension of power & manliness to the physique that women just cannot help but notice. I see females that I havent seen in a year tell me that theres something different about you. Yeah, its the yoke, and added posture ;)
Always look forward to your content. You seem to have gone through a lot of positive changes. None of this calling people out bullshit, you're doing you and you're letting your crazy AF traps speak for themselves. Keep it up brother!
Indeed, you are much more respected when you talk like a Man, but you already did pretty much. Also retrieving sentences like "you know" help increase credibility. Love your content Alex!
This year I need to work on my mobility. Ive never seen anyone with such a bad shoulder mobility as me. I thought that I was normal until I asked my sister to raise her arms as much as she could... so yeah, a shoulder mobility and a t spine mobility video would be awesome.
I've intermittently watched your vlogs before - but never been able to go long term before. But I'm interested in seeing how you fare with your goals going forward. I appreciate that you aren't Mr Aesthetic as many fitness/weightlifting vloggers seem to be, and you're showing a different type of physique - the 'Bear Mode' you've mentioned elsewhere - because I'm never going to be Joe Sixpack and aim for a more 'rugby' build body like yours.
I still remember your new 2017 goals video from last year!! fuck it feels like couple weeks ago it went by stupid fast man! u hit ur goals in like a month haha , calithestics am i right was it? anyways 2017 was a shit year for me , i pledge my heart , energy, soul , blood and tears in 2018 to building something great for myself, i dont know where it will take me, i just know its the right thing to do and i wont regret it. Happy new years bro
Thank you for the training and life tips Alex. Ever since I found your channel and started full body training I've gotten exponentially stronger and feel a lot better. I hope in 2018 you will achieve your goals.
Hey Alex, hope you had a good Christmas and I wish you a happy new year. I think it's great that your switching to gymnastics because I was a gymnast for seven years and I can tell you that it has given me the biggest advantage over other kids when it comes to lifting and other sports ( I'm 16 years old by the way). My goals are to conventional deadlift 200kg next week and then to squat 140kg for 5 reps.
Alex, I'll be working on my planche along side you. It'll be dope to see you along with myself progress at it. Really looking forward to all the new content this year brother.
Same for me, I'm going for that straddle. Hoping to get it within my second year of training. Good luck to every buddy working on it. Its hard as hell!
William Santiago I feel you brother. I remember being frustrated for months doin planche leans and pseudo planche pushups not seeing any progress towards getting that tuck. It would drive me crazy. But trough all the pain, sweat, tears, hardship, doubt and disapointment I did progress. I got better and better: first my form, then my breathing and my hold time after that. I can't exactly put my finger on what I did to finaly get it a while back. But if i were to gues its probably more focus on the quality of the holds in terms of breathing and form and the increase of basic exercises to improve shoulder strenght. For example: Wall handstand pushups, Pike pushups, Deep dips... I do remember this to have a massive inpact on my progress. All in all i know how frustrating it is to try and finaly get that Tuck planche. But keep going, be concistant even if you dont feel like it. YOU WILL get it! I believe in you, and once you have your tuck it will get alot more fun!! Good luck, and most importantly: Have fun!
Some One thank you for sharing with me your experience. I'll definitely take all of this into account. I'm currently at the advanced frogstand. I feel that I do have the strength in the shoulders. It's more of developing the wrist mobility along with straight arm strength. I too hope that you master that straddle. You seem to be game so I'm sure it'll come in due time.
Thanks for all the great content Alex, and also thank you for updating us on your bench goals! Whenever you do decide to hit 405 I will be here cheering you on, untill then let's keep making them gains!
Good point about your speech Alex. As a side effect your Italian accent almost completely disappeared when you're talking to the camera.
But there's a part of me that will always miss the 2016 super fast talking italian accent wifebeater wearing patchy moustache swearing good old Alex.
Huffman_Tree yeah same here man xD

Gotta rotate the personalities on a yearly basis to overcome the Biological Law of Growing Your Channel

no more pain in my shoulder and elbow and lower back because of your vedios , thank you alex
Excellent bro! Very happy for you
Teach me what did you do for your lower back please

How about shoulder?
incline dumbel press hurt my shoulder a lot sow i switch to barbel press WITH ALMOST 30 DEGREE , work your rotator cuff with cable or weight , stretching , and over head press 2 times per week with close grip tuck your elbow , work your rear delt too
I literally made a very close friend because he saw me doing “alphadestiny stuff” at the gym
That's awesome!

thats sick bro
Hahahaha thats dope as, if i ever meet someone doing that shit at the gym ima go say hello
id love to meet an other guy who know alex but it's very rare in Austria i guess :(
honestly Alex I'm really impressed. I've always respected you for many reasons but you seem more comfortable in yourself recently and especially in this video. Nothing seems forced in an attempt to be 'manly', you just seem to be acting naturally, which ironically, is the 'manliest' way to act.
Preciate that brother
So true!
AlphaDestiny "I'm going to speak more professionally"

Alex has matured I guess.
He was always a very mature individual and as time goes by he is getting better.
Mad respect for you, Alex. I've seen you almost become a completely different person over the years I've been watching since you only had a few hundred subscribers. Your honesty and knowledge is what keeps me supporting.
Happy New Year 2018! Let's make this year even better than the last.

Love that answer (BE YOUR BETTER SELF)! It's in the mindset. Fitness and nutrition is not black and white and nor is life.

Apologizing for past mistakes = character hypertrophy :) Way to set an example and keep it coming with the great advice. Happy new Year, Alex.
Thank you for being yourself thats why you are my favorite channel. And another reason is that you are not like anybody else love your content
I love how half of the video is about non-fitness related goals. Wish you good look with your goals, happy new year!
Keep improving Alex!. We're here because you seem a true person in an industry full of liers. You and your Channel have grown so much! Congrats 110k
You've changed in many positive aspects. Respect to you man.
Man you have come so far, happy to be a part of the journey!
I admire these positive, aspirational goals. More power to you in 2018 Alex.
Nothing but respect for you, Alex. I recognise honesty when I see it, and it is scarce... You make your own luck in a way, you will have a good year.
Glad go be apart of this channel! Good luck in 2018 Alex, cannot wait to see you grow more!
As a og subscriber, I have to say thank you for being who you are.
I'm working on my Yoke: my traps, neck and shoulders have improved a lot in the past months since I started following your advice. Thanks brother!
sounds like you have read maximum achievement. Amazing book, keep getting better. Peace and love my friend.
Alex on that spiritual path acting from place of compassion not merely emotionally reacting
You're a big inspiration for me man. For real
I love your channel more and more Alex!! I love that there will be less profanity as someone who doesn’t use it I appreciate it much more than most people.
We share some of the goals, specially the most iimportant. Being just overall, a better human.
2018 is gonna be the greatest and strongest physique and personality. Let´s go!
2018 goals for me:
605 deadlift (already getting close to it!)
Improve my bench further (no specific weight, bench is frustrating for me so I'm gonna be patient with it)
500 pound squat!
Cut below 200 pounds ( something I haven't weighed in about 12 years)
As for goals outside the gym:
Improve my mental health issues
Less swearing as well
Save up and move out
Learn how to weld.
Cheers Alex. I really hope you and everyone else here improves this year as well. And I'm honestly excited to see ho w you improve once you go back to heavy lifting, I estimate a 1200+ pound rack pull above the knee 😂
Happy new year Alexander Leonidas.
Mark Humby Thank you Mark, means a lot.
Great video Alex. Very big of you to speak and think like this, you are a good example. May 2018 be fulfilling and prosperous for you sir.
I've been going to the gym for like 3 months now and your content really helps me. My shoulders would be so fucked right now if it weren't for your videos
Hope you achieve all of this
Btw just had an crazy idea Alex, if the NE Facebook group actually comes out there could be exclusive quick streams there and stuff
Gabriel Martins hmm you may be onto something
I love seeing your personal development bro, feel like I've grown up a bit more myself as well! Great job man!!!!
Thank you for every thing Alex. You changed my lifting life bro, my perspective towards lifting.
As a Christian I have noticed you cursing less and I've definitely appreciated it. Your content has helped me a lot, too.
Thank you Miles, and I am happy that these videos have benefited you! Means a lot
Lol it’s funny when he swears
A man of good vocabulary don't need to curse.
He doesn't need to but he may want to...
Being christian makes you dumber. Facts
I really appreciate your content. Positivity and constructive criticism makes everyone better. You can reach your 2018 goals I believe!
Thanks Alex, the most positive video I've seen. You will make your goals, Alex. You're determined.
Thank you Alex. Let`s make 2018 a great year!
Best way to get rid of insecurities about things you cant control. What is the best way to get over an inferiority complex?
Loving the positivity bro.
My boyyyy.. we need to see you Max lift with your girl watching! We need to see dem reactions. Make it happen.
Let's get these planche gains brother!
Same for me, I'm going for that straddle. Hoping to get it within my second year of training. Good luck to every buddy working on it. Its hard as hell!
Some One that's some next level stuff there. I'm still trying to progress to the straight arm tucked planche.
One of my goals is to watch more of your videos and to join your program
Bro, you deserve more subs. Keep up the good work. Its amazing that people like you are doing this to help others and not for money :)
Thanks for all the great content Alex, and also thank you for updating us on your bench goals! Whenever you do decide to hit 405 I will be here cheering you on, untill then let's keep making them gains!
