This is so good. We made our own puree this year out of the pumpkins we had for Halloween and keep it frozen until needed. Im very proud to be making good use of what mother nature gave us instead if throwing it away. I made a second batch today and added a topping; mixing oatmeal, flour, brown sugar and melted butter. About equal parts each. Gives is a great crunchy top. Will add more baking soda next time as the rise was a little less because of the weight of the topping.

I did go to the pantry and found I was out of ginger, so I used 1/4 teaspoon of garam masala instead....absolutely delicious! I'm glad you mentioned it, because I would never have thought of it. Made a little bit of cream cheese frosting to just add a dollop on the top...yum!
Hello. Just wanted to say thank you for a nice simple recipe. I made these yesterday for the first time as my friend gave me a house-grown pumpkin. The muffins turned fluffy and wonderful. My whole family gobbled them down! The measurements and timings given here are perfect. Thank you again. Btw, I didn’t have pumpkin spice mix, so I grated little bit of cinnamon stick directly into the flour and added handful of chopped walnuts. Just what we needed to celebrate the fall weather!

Just made these. Soooooo good. Added 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips to the batter, sprinkled some extra on top. Did have to take a few minutes off the cooking time. Cut in half, put some butter on it warm... Mmm

I use vanilla yogurt instead of milk , cloves instead of nutmeg and I make a substitute cake flour. My pumpkin muffins are so fluffy and yummy all else is the same so I bet these are awesome to taste. Thanks for so many great recipes . I have used a couple and they are awesome.

Hi also from middle east. You can find canned pumpkin in most supermarkets in the baking section. And if you can’t find pumpkins you can use sweet potatoes as an alternative bake them in the oven and then peel them and discard the peels and them puré the pulp. It gives a very very similar outcome i use them in pies u can’t tell the difference between sweet potatoe pie and pumpkin pie

Just made them. They turned out wonderful. It's very different from the flavours which I am used to (I'm French and we don't really use pumpkin in our cakes). But it is really a good recipe. I just changed the amount of sugar (110g total instead of 200), because I like less sugar (I do this with every recipe, so I hope you won't be offended :) ). I've made them lowering a bit the sugar quantity and adding some stevia instead. Also added chopped walnuts. The muffins came out perfect. Thank you sooo much, this goes directly in my 'tested' notebook ❤
Tried this recipe and came out very well.. The texture as mentioned and sweetness just right . Thanks . Only difference in the way I did is , I had fresh pumpkin , so made puree myself also did not have fresh nutmeg , hence substituted with powder .
Appreciate the explanation on whether the ingredients are necessary or not. It's really helpful since I don't have all the mentioned ingredients.

Just made them. They turned out wonderful. It's very different from the flavours which I am used to (I'm French and we don't really use pumpkin in our cakes). But it is really a good recipe. I just changed the amount of sugar (110g total instead of 200), because I like less sugar (I do this with every recipe, so I hope you won't be offended :) ). Thank you for your awesome work, I love your recipes and your personality, always nice and pleasant.
