just THANK you for always using metric equivalents. i really prefer precise amounts as they guarantee baking success every time. i can smell this already. love your videos John!
I made this today for my wife. She loves pumpkin anything. My daughter and I don’t really like pumpkin. We’ll eat it but not our first choice. Well I was licking the batter and my daughter had two pieces. I did 50/50 butter and oil and 50/50 brown and white sugar. For people who don’t really like pumpkin, this was excellent.
I always make pumpkin bread in October, so I’m trying this one! I stocked up on baking supplies today so that I can bake whenever it strikes me-which is often this time of year! I’m a retired elementary school teacher and have a huge kitchen now to bake in, so life is sweet! My guy told me last night that he’s never known anyone who loves to bake as much as I do. Thanks for another great recipe!
I LITERALLY just made this exact recipe a few days ago and it is so amazing. I made two loaves and added finely chopped walnuts (I hate big pieces) and chocolate chips. Thank you!!
I can not say how much I love your recipes!💓 you not only show, but you tell us why not to do, or what to do , for me your videos are more like a class of baking, which I much appreciate 👍
i did this last year with the recipe on your website and LOVED IT!!!!! i used olive oil and 50/50 brown/white sugar that gave a very moist-soft bread, and added a little tiny bit of garam masala that gave a little spicy pinch but omg SO delicious!! love your channel
🧡Oh my..I was craving for some pumpkin bread and John just uploaded this video! I was just watching his pumpkin bread video from a while ago but I am going to try this new one! Thanks so much John!🧡
Ha! Every year I look for your newest pumpkin recipes. I've made ALL of them! Soooo easy and everything turns out perfectly every time , seriously they do . Ty again John .. you are incredible ❤
Just made this for my friend who doesn't like pumpkin. He loved it. I added some ground ginger and walnuts, and that was nice. The crumb is so light and soft. Easy and scrumptious.
I did your pumpkin cake two days ago, not without the frosting this time. It was..... DELICIOUS!!!!! I love almost anything pumpkin. And your cookies and this bread are my next things to try!!!!!! Thank you so much
I just bought pumpkin puree to make your pumpkin cookies, and I was just thinking yesterday of making pumpkin bread with it as well. And here you are with a pumpkin bread recipe! I'm excited! Thank you 😊
I prefer your original recipe from a few years ago. I make it all the time and all year long, it’s so moist and delicious! I’m not sure why you changed it up. Both the brown and white sugars (which I cut back as don’t like too sweet) make that richer flavour. Anyway, I do love so many of your recipes 😋🙂
I just cut into the loaf I made using this recipe and it’s simply divine. No adjustments necessary. Your recipes never disappoint and are always a hit in our home 🤍 Thanks John!
I love watching you, especially when you make yourself laugh. You seem genuinely happy. ❤ Also I just made my first cake from scratch, your vanilla cake. Sooooo good!!
Love your videos. I made this pumpkin loaf with someone elses video and it sucked I did everything wrong. Tried again this time watching your video and what a difference my wife knew right away. I knew as soon as I cut into it. For now on its going to be only your videos. Thank you for all your great knowledge on the exact amount of each ingredient.
I literally just bought some Libby's after watching your pumpkin cookie recipe but now I might have to make bread instead because it goes so great with a cup of tea and we've got some chilly overnight low temps for the next few days.
Great pumpkin bread recipe thank you for sharing! For those who don’t like using vegetable oil in their baked goods try using a 50/50 combination of unsweetened apple sauce and melted butter which makes the bread super moist but still maintains its integrity
I could almost smell that loaf baking! Nothing like pumpkin and spices. Just to let you know John I make my pumpkin pies now with pureed yam. Tried it on the family and everyone said "what did you do different this is amazing" I think I will try the yam for this loaf and see what happens.
I worked my kitchen magic to make gluten free and then converted to muffins because I am Impatient. LoL! Anyways, came out great and absolutely tasty. Had to put in freezer before I consumed them all.
I had real good pumpkin loaf a few weeks ago the lady who made it made like a pumpkin roll whereby she Spread the pumpkin loaf mixture onto a sheet pan, baked it, and then she spread on an orange colored cream cheese frosting over top and then she rolled it and covered the top of the loaf with walnuts. 😋
My mother doesn't know about this video yet. She will find out when I hand her a loaf of this bread. Please accept her thanks in advance. I really appreciate the freezer information and how you always have the weights handy! I love adding a bit (ok, a lot) of powdered hazelnut coffee creamer to my pumpkin pie (crust and filling). I bet that would be awesome here as well. Or possibly some whole toasted hazelnuts. I shall have to experiment. 😊
Hola. Está exquisito y super jugoso. Me encantan sus recetas. He hecho muchas y todas funcionan perfectamente. Es un gustazo verle. Muchísimas gracias por compartirlas. Un saludo.
@@connienorthrup2170 i’m of the same opinion !!! i love chocolate and pumpkin together bc im not really a fan of very sweet things but pumpkin bread w chocolate chips is the perfect amount of sweetness for me

Yummy I made it yesterday ,it was delicious. I used your pumpkin cookie icing recipe for topping it was good ,but next time I will try the cream cheese frosting, just to try … Thanks for the recipe🧡🎃🧡
John, I watch every video you make, every single week. i don't comment much but for this I wanted to say this looked like it would be enhanced by adding a smear of cream cheese when eating as if it were a bagel. Just a suggestion. Thank you for all your very excellent content delivered in your inimitably pleasant style. Love every video you make! - Marilyn

Made your previous version a couple of times. Your latest version is even better than your previous version.😋 Glad you use grams. Once you know, you know. Also remind peeps to use/buy only aluminum-free baking powder. Then no metallic after taste.🤢😅
Thank you so much for this! This past weekend, I had to replace my phone and I had a pumpkin bread recipe I loved on it. Like a dummy, I didn't back it up or write it down 😅😅
Hi John, I was wondering if you could show us the proper way to blot pumpkin puree? Whenever I try to make pumpkin cookies or bread, the middle always turns out gooey and undercooked, even though I used so many paper towels to blot the pumpkin 😭 I really want to get this right.
I enjoy pumpkin stuff as I'm a bit of an odd one out of my group that actively dislikes sweet foods. Some sweet is fine but I just don't like sweets as a whole

I appreciate your explanation as to why ingredients work or don’t. I like adding frozen cranberries with pumpkin! 🎃
I usually add walnuts! I will have to try cranberries!
