Do I ask: "Этот автобус идёт до магазина (name)?" or do I use Проходит около (or any other preposition)?

For example in english we have abbreviations such as "btw" meaning "by the way". When speaking, we never say each of the letters out loud "b t w" we actually say "by the way", its only abbreviated in writing. So do russians always say the abbreviated letters or only for somethings? Thanks for the video!
