I saw the update- I don't think the changes are large enough to make any of the loadouts irrelevant but if something ends up being better I'll make an updated video
imo it doesnt change anything, it just make the others options a bit more viable but the one you choosed are still the bests (maybe lewis is as good as the shotgun now)
I think one underrated thing to keep in your back pocket (or better yet your reserves) as medium is the glitch mine. Heavies have the ability to break buildings, light has C4 and glitch grenades, but if you're on a team with 3 mediums (or otherwise light/heavy players refusing to use those tools), throwing glitch mines is quite literally your only hope of pushing a team hunkering down with shields and mines. I see this all the time, where a squad is going crazy with a triple defib setup only to run into a 2x heavy 1x medium comp and become irrelevant the moment they lose tempo with no way to poke or push. Make sure every class has something in primary or reserves that can disrupt hunkering teams, either in the form of building destruction or glitch.
You can also use the explosive mines as they will stick to any surface, and then shoot them which will usually create an opening. I have done this to varying degress of success, sometimes it takes 2 mines to create the opening I am looking for.
I think the gas mine is more viable. Its not about damage and the like, but how it needs to be disabled compared to other mines. You shoot an enemy explosive or glitch trap, it will trigger and you can then move on. With the gas mine, you will have to wait for the gas to dissipate or suffer through the damage. It thus helps in gaining time, whereas the other mines don't help as much in that regard
I friggin love this game. The quirky creative ways to strategize and wreak havoc has such old y goldy battlefield bad company vibes. Its rush on crack with no fall damage. It’s amazing.
I can actually chill and have a good time with this game. I don't need to sweat my nuts off or have Ninja level gunplay I can just play however I want and still have loads of fun. Rare that I genuinely have fun with a game that has minimal bullshit and everything is valid in the game space
If you're playing the game yourself, I would suggest trying other loadouts too. Things like the sword for light with dash and the invisible smoke grenade can work really well together to allow for big plays for example. there are a ton of combinations that could work and these are just a good starting place to look to.
honestly cloak and dash are pretty even and have their ups and downs, for example if im getting chased/shot at with cloak, there's basically nothing i can do as they will keep hitting lucky shots and cancelling my cloak, however it is better for getting kills and using hit-and-run tactics. dash helps very well with survivability but isnt as good in certain other situations
I can always see them when they are using cloak and kill them. It's not luck, i just see them plain as day. its harder if im not looking for it and if iim fighting someonelse, but yeah. I think light is a very niche thing, doesn't suit every team or every play. You can't play with team, you have to find flanks, weak spots, but that can get you easily killed unless the other team isn't coordinated.
cloak is very nice on 1v1 but in ranked people are smarter and play within a group so you cant cheese someone so easy. The dashes is in my opinion the best option since you can use it for escape/engange during a gunfight

This was all before the patch this morning the heavys shotgun got a nerf the shield got a nerf the RPG got a nerf the stun gun got a buff so you might want to make another video with the patch notes
the nerfs were not big enough to change the meta really, the shotgun is still the best, shield is still the best, and the rpg is still usable in many ways
Disclaimer, these loadouts will not make you instantly better. A few things in the game definitely need a nerf but you will have a much better chance of winning and having fun if you go with your play style rather than forcing yourself to go with the “meta”. I mean even with some things being a little too good there is still a counter for everything in the game.
Also, the meta for high-level play is gonna be different from mid and low level play. Light builds are a lot stronger on servers where players struggle to maintain accuracy against a mobile target.
My staple gadget for medium is sonar and defib. Sonar saved my team's life countless times plus it counters flanks and cloaks, while also providing the sense of security. Cd is relativity low with 2 charges so little management is required. Tbh it's underrated. I also bring the abp turret(the one that stops projectiles) cuz of how many nades and rpgs and nuke meta in this game.
Tbh I hate your recommended medium build, I think it’s very redundant to run both the jump pad and zipline considering how much other utility you could have, and you should only run healing beam if you have friends on comms. Playing support for randoms will piss you off, don’t do it unless u can’t hit shots to save your life.
He’s not entirely wrong, playing support / heals with no coms and random teammates is horrendous especially when they don’t play as if they want heals anyway
Highkey his medium build irks me so much. Healing beam is really good if someone else runs turret or you're in a tournament. Idk who the hell would use jump pad AND zip line. Why not frags? A Pyro grenade??? Sure you can pick up a fire barrel but how often do you find one when needed. A frag can break walls and set off gadgets and hurt so why choose mobility over something like that. The Pyro is almost a must have I feel for cashouts because you need smoke or gas to remove it but if thrown into gas you're most likely keeping the fire around.
@@diddleydoops9705 fr, there’s so much flexibility with medium in the kind of utility you can have. I’m sick of big content creators saying shit like “your throwing if you’re not running healing beam and defib” as a solo the other 2 specializations are way better. Conforming to must pick gadgets will make your gameplay stale af, just look for fun synergies and you’ll have a good time imo.
@@diddleydoops9705the reason he has that build in my opinion is because it’s optimized for “pro play”. So those players are gonna have coms and their most likely going to stick with their teammates. I think zip line still is all you need tho. But having both provides better mobility for heavy which your suppose to be with anyways as the healer.
My favorite thing about the gadgets is that none of them feel completely useless. You can really find a use for any of them. Like for instance, I play heavy and use the wall barrier to block door for indoor cash outs since no one can hop over them. I also throw them down to reload in a fight or cover a team mate while on the cashout. Sure you can use the dome shield, but the actual tangible barrier either has to be destroyed, traversed around or over. The dome wall can just be walked through, so there's always a push and pull in terms of advantage and disadvantage. It really feels like digging through a toybox and imagining new scenarios with the same toys.
personally, when i play light i run Grapple, Mp5, stun gun, glitch nades, and goo nades, it's served me much better than the current "Meta" loadout, the higher ranks you get, the worse and worse cloak is going to be, grapple allows me to reposition quickly and efficiently with a short cooldown, run cashouts, and claim high ground easily. with the mp5, glitches, and goo, i can support teammates, break LoS, harass, and pick enemy teams, all the while staying on the front line giving me chances to res and protect my team. after playing for a good while, i think people playing the "assassin pick" light playstyle is just much less effective for your team. playing light more as a harassment tool by taking off angles and high grounds directly near your team and peppering with the mp5 will allow your teammates to take down enemies much easier, or maybe even be outright taken out by you will win you vastly more team fights than the shotgun strat. along with that, goo nades to create cover in open areas, or to block off points of entry makes you an incredible tool for holding down the cashouts, or to provide cover for you or a medium to res a teammate. Overall, I think the playstyle everyone is gravitating towards with light is deceptively unhelpful to your teammates and WILL result in you losing more fights, especially if done poorly

@melvinvogel9366 I've been playing since CB1, going off and picking potential threats is s disservice to your team, in a game like this, leaving them to a 2v3 is a death sentence. for light i agree for the most part but cloak is high-mid at best and gets countered by glitch and sonar. grapple basically doesn’t have counters and allows for b-hopping, and vertical play. lights biggest issue is being to selfish as a design philosophy, but all the gadgets bring more value to the team.
Thermal Vision on light counters cloak and allows seeing through smoke/fog. Smoke lasts longer than vanish nade and wont turn off while shooting unlike cloak. Thermaling up smoke is superior for ranged light weapons. Glitch grenade on top prevents shielding/gadgets from the stationary smoke spots that prevent players from shooting at the light directly. This allows dashers and grapplers to have their own form of long lasting cloak.

Crazy how much this changed in just 4 months. on a side note, thanks for your videos I love this game and really want it to be successful and your channel helps with that. :)
TLDR of the video because he really could've just made the vid 4 minutes long instead of 16 Light: Play cloaking device with the shotgun and stun gun, other utility items are preference. Recommended in the video is the breaching charge and the glitch grenade. Medium: AKM or FCAR alongside healing beam (imo only useful if you have a player you know is good or a friend), other recommended specialization are the recon senses. Always take defibrillator. Recommended aswell in the video are both the zipline and the jump pad (imo you only need one and use the other slot for a mine or grenade of your choosing) Heavy: SA1216 autoshotgun or if you want to be more versatile the Lewis Gun. Mesh shield is the best choice. C4 recommended alongside RPG and the dome shield.
Regarding the medium, it is a build that only works as a premade. In SoloQ most people are so bad individually that healing them with utility is useless.
Not true surprisingly. Unlike in apex or valorant, your teammates are actually useful. Since ranked tournament has you play multiple matches, for most of them you actually can heavily rely on your team.
my all time fav to use as a heavy is sledge hammer it deals 200 damage with right click and about 100 with left click it can be used to destroy building and get the cashout to a lower level combining it with the charge is also pretty op as u could pl,ay as offensive rather than defensive
I'm a bit sad the med turret wasn't mentioned. That thing can be so good at holding down angles or just give you information that people are seen by it. The damage isn't too bad either.
Problem with the shields is they glow so bright that everyone knows you're there plus they glitch through walls so people can easily tell where you are in a room if you throw it too close to a wall. When playing with randoms that don't stick together the shields are 80% useless. If people see a lone heavy cause they can't keep up with billy try-hard and his sprint dashing grapple hook light build they ignore the objective and chases you across the map to wipe you. Most people just sprint slide past the shields too.
It's crazy how people still haven't figured out recon senses is extremely broken. Actual wall hacks that can see invis players. I have no idea why higher ranked players using light invis aren't complaining about being lasered even through invis.
@@DunkinDonutGoesFast I think it’s decline is definitely seasonal, just like Fortnite it has up’s and downs. But I’m pretty sure there’s still millions of console players.
well the vanishing bomb can do what the cloaking device does while also allowing you to utilize evasive dash to get out of situations you cant take with this being used as well with stun gun you can create situations with you behind your enemy with an easy kill
I think that the shotgun with the defib and healing beam is good for medium bc it’s allows you to provide really useful support for your team and the shotgun is really good as a sort of clutch gun when your team dies.
You can do Light with invis bomb and evasive dash and if you time things good its even better because you can still reset the fight sometimes even easier and you can be like quite fast with it.
I use the charge and slam with an rpg to get away from enemy’s and to maneuver the map faster while also using it to make rotates and holes in the walls and floor etc and I use the Lewis gun to be able to play from all ranges
Im a light/medium and my loadouts are Light: Cloaking Device, XP-54, Breach Charge, Gas Grenade and Stun Gun Medium: Guardian turret, AK, Gas mine, Jump Pad, Defibrillator Any ideas for any better changes. Im someone who wants range and good damage so no melee or close quarters guns. I also sometimes use the sniper for light build but not very often depends on how i feel.
Great video! I just wish you put a summary of every best loadout per every build so I can screenshot it and can easily go back to it when I have enough money to unlock it.
lmao hilarious analogy but hopefully doesn’t turn out like ow i stopped playing once i realized blizzard won’t make meaningful changes bc they are too scared, also still waiting on doom buffs/ rework 😭
Hey man, been watching your content for a while and was watching your video when I noticed something - that’s me in the middle at 4:19! Keep up the great work
Using the shotty over the MP5 on the light makes you entirely useless outside of point-blank fights, and forces you to put yourself in a lot of danger against decent teams. MP5 has a nice ttk and is a lot more versatile.
I would also suggest making a video for best beginner builds and what to get first. For example, the only thing I have on the light class that you recommended is the frag. I focused the cloak first, but I’m wondering if I should have gone for the stun gun instead. Would be cool for those just starting out!
From personal experience what I find that works really well for the light class is a vanish bomb, grapple and Whatber weapon you like. I just use the sniper as it’s just really good if you can aim well enough
For tournaments, I’ve found Medium build is best with defibs, gas mine, and either zip line or nades depending on the map. Healing beam is a must!!! 😭 Especially in tournaments
You can stay on top of a jumping cashout to steal it without spending time on destorying the jump pad, in that sense: the jump pad actually helps you :)
the light class's pistol is absolutely busted and I pretty much only run that and the sniper on that class. close range just spam at the head and you can destroy any class in the game and it has a huge magazine thats very forgiving for the spam fire way it should be used. Combine it with the grappling hook and you can constantly get height on enemies and spam pistol shots at their heads for easy kills.
People sleeping on the flamethrower, it can damage multiple enemies at the same time... shredding both the healer and their attacker, also perfect for those messy fights where there are several teams in a tight spot.
very handy, might be me but i feel like the heavy's shotgun is bad, mainly because the minireload or whatever every 4th shot. if they dont die by then you are dead.
The problem is that as of your video production (2023-12-19), this video is not already outdated due to patch on 12-20, but seems to focus on movement too much. I found that movement's advantage get severely lowered in a pile of rubble, and you have to weave in and out to get objective, etc. That's why Medium (especially double medium) use healing + turret The heavy build has no complain, seeing that's basically what everyone use As for the medium build (I don't know much about light) Maybe for a future update, but for now I have reservation.
I want this game to live a long time. Add lto modes. Maybe a permanent death match mode or free for all. Maybe even a hybrid build of medium/light or medium/heavy.
I created a light build with dash , sword , stun gun , any grenade I feel like using and cloak grenade (I usually use the grenade kill an enemy and disengage with dash or if I feel like an asshole I go full genji mode and combo everyone)
wish the rpg did more damage to objects. multiple times i've aimed at a ceiling to bring the cashout box down only to have it still sitting on a ledge with the entire floor around it broken but not the part it is resting on.
I main medium on pc and run fcar/akm/357 depending on how my aim feels. But I’ve tried the game on ps5 also and then I can’t hit shots with the automatic weapons. I play much better with the model 1887/357 magnum on console (often go around 15 kills in casual so I help the team but we’re not gonna win ranked lol)
where arent the recon grenades here? cmon, you cant do a best medium loadout and put me the jumpad and zipline in the same loadout and not put the recon grenade insted of one of them. For good players it may be the best gadget under the desfibrilator.
I think the light's grappling hook is super underrated, sure pressing one button and becoming invisible is really useful and annyoning for the enemy team, but if you managae to use the grappling hook well, you can flank enemies just as well and also get the added benefit of having insane movement
“It’s safe to say the cloaking device is the best for light players” Me snapping to the noise of the cloak activation, smacking him around and grappling away
why don’t I see anyone talking about the model 1887 the damage is insane and the range is egregiously good, 2 shotting medium and light and 3 shotting heavy (or 2 shot+melee) and the ammo is really good for how much damage is dealt, idk maybe I’m wrong but model 1887 is way too good to not even be acknowledged in the video
The objectively best build for heavy is sledge with charge and slam, c4, dome, and rpg for maximum destruction. Nothing beats the kool aid man strat. OH YEAH!😎

SA1216 autoshotgun or if you want to be more versatile the Lewis Gun. Mesh shield is the best choice. C4 recommended alongside RPG and the dome shield.
one thing you can also use if you don't want a cloak is a vanishing grenade, which also makes your teamates invis if thrown near them
Regarding the medium, it is a build that only works as a premade. In SoloQ most people are so bad individually that healing them with utility is useless.
This is asinine and you are probably the "bad" teammate that you're complaining about.
Not true surprisingly. Unlike in apex or valorant, your teammates are actually useful. Since ranked tournament has you play multiple matches, for most of them you actually can heavily rely on your team.
The .357 Revolver on Medium is insane, just hard to use. It has a 2x headshot multiplier which makes it do 148 damage per shot.
YES some loadouts are maybe objectively better, but I think you should play what suits YOU the best
The nuke meta isnt going anywhere. They used that tactic in one of their cinematic gameplay trailers so it's kinda built in
my all time fav to use as a heavy is sledge hammer
it deals 200 damage with right click and about 100 with left click
it can be used to destroy building and get the cashout to a lower level
combining it with the charge is also pretty op as u could pl,ay as offensive rather than defensive
Light build: 00:11
Medium build: 05:30
Heavy build: 11:25
I'm a bit sad the med turret wasn't mentioned. That thing can be so good at holding down angles or just give you information that people are seen by it. The damage isn't too bad either.
Honestly very good ability just sad it's on medium because heal beam is so good it kinda outshines it
IMO (cuz of my fast and Agressive play stile) for the Light class the best one is: the pistol, The dash.
Bro ottr your recent finals content has been getting so much viewership! Don’t forget apex but keep up the great work.
his finals videos have usually been getting over 100k views 😂
People are tired of apex.
So when someone with experience talks about a better game, people are going to love it
Apex is so dead lol
@@DunkinDonutGoesFast fr
@@DunkinDonutGoesFast I think it’s decline is definitely seasonal, just like Fortnite it has up’s and downs. But I’m pretty sure there’s still millions of console players.
well the vanishing bomb can do what the cloaking device does while also allowing you to utilize evasive dash to get out of situations you cant take
with this being used as well with stun gun you can create situations with you behind your enemy with an easy kill
Very helpful, I'm loving the Finals content that you're putting out
12:28 Interesting counter play I found recently. The flamethrower just goes through the shield and completely ignores it.
It's has reduced dmg through shield and mesh shield is on Heavy while Flamethrower is shit if it's against Heavy
Well I guess me and you have different results
just a tip mesh shield can rebound throwable like grenades
(all grens)
dome+mesh is good for cash out defence beware cuz glitches will shut them down
I honestly think the turret is pretty nice if positioned right.
I think that the shotgun with the defib and healing beam is good for medium bc it’s allows you to provide really useful support for your team and the shotgun is really good as a sort of clutch gun when your team dies.
And the shotgun ensures you stay near your team which will in turn make your healing bean more useful
Ottr i hope you do the patch notes rundown and how the meta will change
You can do Light with invis bomb and evasive dash and if you time things good its even better because you can still reset the fight sometimes even easier and you can be like quite fast with it.
I use the charge and slam with an rpg to get away from enemy’s and to maneuver the map faster while also using it to make rotates and holes in the walls and floor etc and I use the Lewis gun to be able to play from all ranges
Im a light/medium and my loadouts are
Light: Cloaking Device, XP-54, Breach Charge, Gas Grenade and Stun Gun
Medium: Guardian turret, AK, Gas mine, Jump Pad, Defibrillator
Any ideas for any better changes.
Im someone who wants range and good damage so no melee or close quarters guns. I also sometimes use the sniper for light build but not very often depends on how i feel.
There is a counterplay to exploding barrels, APS is op. Just put it down right before and play around it.
Great video! I just wish you put a summary of every best loadout per every build so I can screenshot it and can easily go back to it when I have enough money to unlock it.
history is repeating itself. medium = support, heavy = tank, light = dps. everyone wants to play dps but the meta is unfortunately...GOATS
lmao hilarious analogy but hopefully doesn’t turn out like ow i stopped playing once i realized blizzard won’t make meaningful changes bc they are too scared, also still waiting on doom buffs/ rework 😭
😭 Especially in tournaments
remember that the meta isn't always the best for you. It's important and, for some, fun to optimize your loadout to your playstyle.
You can stay on top of a jumping cashout to steal it without spending time on destorying the jump pad, in that sense: the jump pad actually helps you :)
if u play games with decent recoil patterns like old rust, or siege… just use the akm if u play medium
Flamethrower also works for heavy, damage is high and has burn while you aren’t even shooting
Give light 30 more hp so there not so squishy, and ad a buffer time to invisibly of 5 seconds when you come out so you can’t spam the cloak
the light class's pistol is absolutely busted and I pretty much only run that and the sniper on that class. close range just spam at the head and you can destroy any class in the game and it has a huge magazine thats very forgiving for the spam fire way it should be used. Combine it with the grappling hook and you can constantly get height on enemies and spam pistol shots at their heads for easy kills.
Been loving the medium loadout
12:56 "Do you feel like a hero, yet?"
What’s the difference between the c4 and breach charge? Besides getting 2 of them
People sleeping on the flamethrower, it can damage multiple enemies at the same time... shredding both the healer and their attacker, also perfect for those messy fights where there are several teams in a tight spot.
man in my gameplay the shotgun seems so weak
very handy, might be me but i feel like the heavy's shotgun is bad, mainly because the minireload or whatever every 4th shot. if they dont die by then you are dead.
The problem is that as of your video production (2023-12-19), this video is not already outdated due to patch on 12-20, but seems to focus on movement too much. I found that movement's advantage get severely lowered in a pile of rubble, and you have to weave in and out to get objective, etc. That's why Medium (especially double medium) use healing + turret
The heavy build has no complain, seeing that's basically what everyone use
As for the medium build (I don't know much about light) Maybe for a future update, but for now I have reservation.
Lol, I've been playing more heavy recently and I'm often the only one in the game. Everyone running medium or light with invis+DB lol.
Sweet tips, Thanks!
how much damage should a gas can with 2 c4, 2 explosive mines and 2 pyro mines do?
I want this game to live a long time. Add lto modes. Maybe a permanent death match mode or free for all. Maybe even a hybrid build of medium/light or medium/heavy.
I created a light build with dash , sword , stun gun , any grenade I feel like using and cloak grenade (I usually use the grenade kill an enemy and disengage with dash or if I feel like an asshole I go full genji mode and combo everyone)
i like grapple and sniper, since i can easly get to an vantage point to do overwatch for my team
Does nvida make your audio lag behind too ?
wish the rpg did more damage to objects. multiple times i've aimed at a ceiling to bring the cashout box down only to have it still sitting on a ledge with the entire floor around it broken but not the part it is resting on.
I mean the Nuke counter is probably just shooting it?
You are mostly done in any scenario if you get caught offguard.
Model 1887 for medium
Love the info
They need to nerf the health on the auto turrets it’s too much
Ngl Cloak as best light util is major cap, Grapple hook does the job of Dash and Invis together if your actually good
where arent the recon grenades here? cmon, you cant do a best medium loadout and put me the jumpad and zipline in the same loadout and not put the recon grenade insted of one of them. For good players it may be the best gadget under the desfibrilator.
Recon senses are my go to catching an invisible dude off gaurd is just to sweet to pass up haha
I think the light's grappling hook is super underrated, sure pressing one button and becoming invisible is really useful and annyoning for the enemy team, but if you managae to use the grappling hook well, you can flank enemies just as well and also get the added benefit of having insane movement
titanfall 2 sends its regards
"Homie kissing distance"😂 1:50
feel so good, here mate!
Recon senses is legit wall hacks. With open comms and good call outs its invaluable, especially in double medium.
Love the content for this game keep it up!
no way double shield meta went over to the finals 💀
“It’s safe to say the cloaking device is the best for light players” Me snapping to the noise of the cloak activation, smacking him around and grappling away
why don’t I see anyone talking about the model 1887 the damage is insane and the range is egregiously good, 2 shotting medium and light and 3 shotting heavy (or 2 shot+melee) and the ammo is really good for how much damage is dealt, idk maybe I’m wrong but model 1887 is way too good to not even be acknowledged in the video
Cloak trash to me light is about mobility and hit and runs grapple on top 😂 going from low ground to immediate height is broken
I remain to believe this game is free of a "meta" load out. if you play anything right, it can be a counter to everything
I just rock the revolver although when im stun gunned its hell to hip fire then with it
I have a ps5 when i set the breach charge, it won’t blow up until i shoot it
Which class do you main?
recon sense is literally wall hacks lmao definitely worth taking if you already have a healer
I run heavy with grenade launcher, C4, RPG, mines and the charge specialty.
The medium build is octane, lifeline, Pathfinder in 1 so yea op
Anyone knows how to fix random stuttering? I like this game but at times im lagging hard. My specs isn't the problem since I have a fairly strong PC.
God bless everyone and have a wonderful day ❤
The objectively best build for heavy is sledge with charge and slam, c4, dome, and rpg for maximum destruction. Nothing beats the kool aid man strat. OH YEAH!😎
"Homie Kissing Distance" is my new metaphor Lmao
Slower movement? I thought they said they slowed the animation but we still move the same speed
