Why don't I get that option, "replace URL"? I do get it on some links, but not on most of my links? Why is that?
Hi Damir, I get it on most links. For UA-cam videos, if they are private or restricted you probably won't get it. The same goes for any Google Drive file not set to be viewable by anyone with the link.
I wish this was available in Google mail!
Yes - Smart Chips in Gmail would be very useful. Preview panels too!
This hardly works for me. Chrome is up to date. When I use the @ and begin typing in the title of the doc or sheet I want to use a chip for, nothing shows. All of my coworkers can do this but when I try to add these to our docs, I can never get it to find the docs I want. Thoughts?
Agreed that using @ is somewhat difficult for inserting Google Drive file Smart Chips. I want you to paste the file's sharing link instead. That will work much better. It will even prompt you to press the TAB key to replace the URL with a Smart Chip.
