I really liked your video and keep making more video like this and please keep educating us Thank you so much for your hard work that you have put in the video making
3:06 It only shows me a few files (the file im trying to put in is from a shared google drive) and when I typed in the box like how you did to search, it typed at a link label (similar to when you insert a link in the spreadsheet and name that link)
The youtube Video Link Chip, can we do multiple links at the same time coz when I have 50 links I cannot just hover over all the links and chip it. is there a time saving way of doing it
It does it sometimes- Like when i put my own information, it formats as my name but I can't seem to make it do that for other people. But there's clearly a way!! Good tutorial by the way I'm just on a quest for that specific question 😭@@ProlificOaktree
I'm having a ton of trouble locating files to be attached as a smartchip. Even if I type the name of the file like @filename, it still won't show up. Do I have to be the owner of the files because this still happens even if I am the owner? Any advice?
This has been driving me nuts. When I try to create a people smart chip, it sometimes displays the person's name, sometimes their e-mail address. I saw both pop up in the video. I'm clueless to why this happens, and didn't see an explanation.
@@ProlificOaktree I did. Of the 37 contacts in my client tracker sheet, 35 of them show up as e-mail addresses, myself and one other, seemingly random, client show up as names. I've got a workaround involving setting a placeholder people chip in Google Docs, which is manageable since I set up a notes file for each client that I start from a base document. But I saw that you had this issue in your video, and seemed to have a solution, but no explanation. 9:17 you create a smart chip that shows as an e-mail address. 9:44 another smart chip appears out of thin air in the cell below with the name displayed.
@@ProlificOaktree Well, thanks for checking on it for me. I've been searching all over, but haven't found a real answer. I'm fortunately in a position where I can use the Google Docs placeholder workaround somewhat efficiently in my workflow, but it's really annoying.

Thanks man! I’m planning on putting a lot more out. Actually hoping to wrap the next one up today!
Nice tutorial. Thank you
Glad it was helpful!

You could do it backwards by getting the link, pasting it there, then converting it to a chip.
Really good tutorial. Thanks.

Hi great video. Is there a way to smart clip a cell to a certain page in a Google doc with several pages?
You can make an outline in the Google Doc, click on the section you want, and copy that URL. Paste that URL into Sheets.

Unfortunately I don't know of a way to do that. Seems like you should be able to though.
Do you know of a way to force the smart chip to use a google contacts name instead of their email address?
No, that’s kinda inconvenient, right?

It’s hard to know without seeing. You would need to be the owner though.
So is there a way in Places to put in an Address but have it display "Mom's House" or something along those lines?
This has been driving me nuts.

Did you check those contacts? Perhaps some do/don't have names or email addresses. A contact could be incomplete.

@@JeffreyHeinzeFry It still seems random for me. I see the part of the video you are referring to, but I don't know the reason!
