    Well Michelle ,
Let me put it like this since I am an Android Person I do want to let you know that Google Keep and Google Tasks are available on Android Phones in fact they work hand in hand with Google Drive . Pretty much anything Google works seamlessly on an Android Device .
Anyhow , thank you for the tips on what you use and how you use them because it can help someone out there who has an Apple iDevice out there learn how to use it to get what they want done .
    - Dwight

Great content & xlnt presentation!! I don't know why nearly every educational video adds background music when it only detracts from the content & your lovely voice 🎉

Very informative video. I usually use Good Notes for notes and my digital planner and Reminders for list making (both Apple only). I love them both. With Reminders you can use smart lists with multiple tags. This works great for my grocery lists. I tag all the stores I think I might buy the item at and when I check it off it is checked off on the lists so I will not forget and buy it more than once.

You can move notes from one list/label to the other in google keep just choose change labels or if you hold down ctrl or drag your mouse select multiple labels, click on the 3 dots in the right corner that appear and choose change labels there. This way you can change the labels of multiple notes.

    • @PocketfulofPrimary
      @PocketfulofPrimary  Рік тому

That's to change the labels though... that doesn't move individual list items. For example, if I had two notes: one with things to do this week and one with things to do this month and wanted to move a single task from the "month" list to the "week" list, I would have to copy and paste it.

The workaround for unchecking everything at once in notes app for Apple… you can select the whole checklist, click on the checklist icon twice, once to turn it off and the second time to turn it back on with everything unchecked 😊

this is the best video on youtube that goes over the pluses and minuses and practical uses for these different note taking apps
it's so much better than any of the videos on this topic that are on "tech" channels. it's especially helpful that you actually give examples of what you personally use each app for, so the viewer can conceptualize what they might actually use these apps for in practice

I am not using any of the three apps fully! I learned a lot from this video! Thanks! Also, I’m right there with you on the number of screenshots I have! 😃 I’m going to do what you suggested by putting the most used ones in notes, but this may take awhile!

Super clear video, as usual! I agree that everyone has to find what works best for them in terms of to-do lists and digital organization. It is fun to find the right balance between different apps. I am partial to the To Do app from Microsoft because my district uses Office 365 for everything, but my personal email and digital storage is through Google.

I use Apple Notes to organize my research for my doctoral dissertation. It is wonderful. I can use split screen on my iPad with articles I'm reading so I can make my notes. The use of tags allows me to access what I need quickly.

Thank you Michelle, I started consistently using all 3 of these apps after watching your videos and listening your podcast. Google Keep has been a game changer for how I manage my work load. I use tasks for my home life and notes for scanning and record keeping. I can’t thank you enough. You have given me something amazing-the gift of time!

Super easy and organized video! I started using Google Keep, but I have been using Google Tasks more often lately because I’m doing a fitness calendar, work calendar, and tutoring calendar and keeping the to do lists for each has been easiest for me! I totally agree with the notes app it’s for more general things! Having the to-do lists in one place is perfect, but I am one to forget very easily (why I still use the digital planner to build my to-do lists)!

Hi, I’ve been watching since Lockdown started and have been encouraged by your videos. I’ve used notes and tasks, but not keep. While watching this tutorial, I keep wondering why you didn’t use reminders from apple since you use notes. I use Google everything. So, my guess is due to the tasks Google integration everywhere.

i use google keep religiously but don't color code anything. i love it. It's my memory, lol. I just use search mostly, and a few labels. I transfer notes to google drive when they get huge. large notes can't copy image to text.

I use GK at school - for my daily to-do lists. I can have different categories - a daily list, literacy plan ahead, family letter notes, etc... At home, we have started using the Notes App. We use it for groceries and other list keeping that we need. We also use a shared Google Calendar at home. I don't use a home to-do list. LOL - because at home I am an inefficient slug...

I use the notes app and my apple pen on my iPad to track attendance, take handwritten notes during meetings, etc. I also use it to scan worksheets that I want to model for my students. I scan it and then screenshare it to my Promethean. That way I can walk around the room while I talk and write on the sheet.
