    Crazy good workflow for talking head videos. Unfortunately, I'm filming in a woodshop and everything has to move while getting dusty. haha

    How do you avoid color banding with the solid background?

    • @CalebWojcik
      @CalebWojcik  2 роки тому

      That's why I chose a solid black. So in camera & in Premiere I could drop it below 0 IRE to pure black. Which shouldn't have banding.

    Brah, just the cameras/glass is roughly 23-24k not including tax….
    So the rest would easily put it over 30k?

    thanks for the video- question - when all cameras are recording do you have to upload all videos from all the SD cards then edit it all together or is there 1 main video that you are able to capture when you cut from 1 camera to the other then you just edit that 1 video with all the camera cuts. Hope this question makes sense

    • @CalebWojcik
      @CalebWojcik  Рік тому

      If I plugged a hard drive into the ATEM Mini Pro I could record the active angles in 1080p but I usually just record to the cameras' SD cards.

    Caleb - Super helpful to see - Thanks! Question: after the audio goes through the DBX and the Mix pre - and then into the C70. - isn't it out of sync by 4 or 5 frames?

    • @CalebWojcik
      @CalebWojcik  3 роки тому +1

      No because it is sent with the video feed from the C70 at the same time.
      If I sent the audio separately I would have that problem though, which is a big reason why I go through the exact cable configuration to run the high quality audio into the camera and out via HDMI to the ATEM Mini.

    Hi Caleb, awesome setup! I’ve used an older Blackmagic ATEM switchers for many years. Just curious (and maybe you mentioned it in a previous video) how is the autofocus with the Sigma 18-35 on the C70? Guessing you are using the standard Eos R adapter. Curious if you find it reliable enough for client work.

    • @CalebWojcik
      @CalebWojcik  3 роки тому +1

      I’ve had no issues with the AF on the 18-35mm on the C70. Works great with face tracking. And I’m using the official canon adapter with the control ring.

    Thanks for the video and I loved your set-up. I use a two-camera set-up, but both go thru my desktop. I use an ATEM mini but I route my content sources thru the 4 inputs. I love using my Elgato Stream Deck to make everything flow and I bring it all together with OBS. I am currently having some problems in getting my audio quality to the same level as my video quality...but I will win that war.

      @@RobertGossCreator I believe the regular mini (not the pro) has hdmi preview but not the multiple camera preview. Pretty sure you need the mini pro for that, but I would double check elsewhere online.

    Impressive setup. I don't know about you, but editing is a big point of friction for me. It seems like the Atem's ability to record directly to disk could be useful for getting the bones of an edit together, but no 4K is a big limitation as you point out.

    • @CalebWojcik
      @CalebWojcik  3 роки тому +2

      Yeah, I’ve thought about that as well. Especially if you have the ISO version that makes a Resolve timeline too.

  • @scottsnyder360

    Nice setup! Question, if you are sending Audio into the C70 and then Audio/Video to the ATEM to stream to Zoom etc or whatever platform.. How do you hear other people in the stream, but not yourself? As your microphone audio is tied to the Video via the HDMI...

    • @CalebWojcik
      @CalebWojcik  2 роки тому

      Yes, the audio goes from the SM7B or NTG-3, through a DBX 286s, into a Mix-Pre 6, then into the XLR inputs on the C70, and audio out via HDMI through the ATEAM to the streaming software (ecamm Live). I don't monitor my own audio so I only hear other people (but I could monitor myself via ecamm if I wanted to). Hope that helps!

    • @scottsnyder360
      @scottsnyder360 2 роки тому

      @@CalebWojcik Thanks for the quick reply! What I need clarity on is how to not monitor my own audio, so that I only hear other people. Is that a function of the ATEM? or is that something that I have to do in Zoom, etc.

    • @CalebWojcik
      @CalebWojcik  2 роки тому

      @@scottsnyder360 You wouldn't hear your own audio if your headphones are plugged in to your computer instead of the ATEM.

    Hi. Great video, Caleb. How do you support the left hand side of the table (side dbx286s)? Just two regular table legs? On a side note; I see a lot of people using this table top. Ergonomically, here in Belgium they recommend 8o cm (31,5"). This table is 25 5/8". Don't have any problems with that?

    • @CalebWojcik

    don't need c70s or r5s... Also why so many laptops? A7sIii better and cheaper

    • @CalebWojcik
      @CalebWojcik  3 роки тому

      I use the C70s in tandem with this setup for filming for clients. Side graded to them from the C200. And the R5 is what my wife and I use for our stills camera. Yes, I know Sony cameras are cheaper.
      And there is only 1 laptop. The main streaming computer is a 2013 Mac Pro under the table and there is an iPad Pro on the side too.
