Question of the Day 💡Do you like my home office setup? Let me know! ****** Check out a list of the video gear and equipment in this setup here:kit.co/SeanCannell/think-media-live-streaming-studio
Yes, it is well done and admirable. Definitely something to aim for; the monitors and the lighting are high points for me. As to the various tech idk much about it but it seems very well thought out and effective.
I found most of my furniture. I think the most expensive item I have is my 2019 iMac. I have an editing station and a gear station. Probably total comes out to be 3 or 4K. It’s not all meet like this video. There’s no “theme” or consistency. But it looks nice and gets the job done. I might upgrade to that standing table though. I get tired of sitting for 10 hours
As a small channel, seeing studio set-ups like this *inspires* me to keep pushing and grind out videos every week to one day achieve a similar result. For anyone on a similar journey, we can do it! 💪🏻
I guessed the total amount and got it right at 20k. The desk set up is really cool. I’ve been watching a lot of the think media videos and they’ve been helpful. I’ve just started my journey in creating on UA-cam and I go to your content a lot. Thanks!
Thanks Shaun!! I am getting ready to sell my house, pay off debts and launch into Christian ministry online. Looking at using singing, teaching, preaching, prayer meetings, interviews, and helping unite ministries together to reach souls for Christ. I know you love Christ and I just want to thank you. I am loving the set up. And will be investing in something like this! I can’t thank you enough and May His Will be done to reach souls while we can!!
I work from home so I have spent money on some of the same equipment you showcase. Because it is also for work I felt a bit better about the cost. The one thing you have that I would like the get is the sit/stand desk, super cool.
Be careful with the RSI or wrist problems with the foam strip in front of the ergonomic keyboard. I ditched that and went with the Microsoft ergonomic keyboard only. I actually find it better and more natural as you fingers are much lower than your wrist position. This is a more natural and, over the long-term, more healthy way to use a keyboard. Thanks for the video, Sean. Really helpful.
This is what my dream desk set up! It's challenging but I keep going cause I know it will happen one day if i keep going! I try to improve my videos each and every time and getting positive feedback from my viewers saying I did improve encourages me evenmore. I know it's been challenging for you too Sean and this is well deserved. You are really an inspiration for me! Lots of love from Mauritius🇲🇺
I am so super jealous of your amazing home studio. I'm in the process of clean sweeping my "Where's Waldo?" studio and getting rid of all the unnecessary trinkets that seem to be everywhere. The first step is to create my own L-Shaped stand/sit desks by purchasing two standard rectangular desks. The L-Shaped models at Autonomous (and other great websites) are just a wee bit out of my price range. So I found if I buy two sit/stand desks it was more in line with my budget. Then from there will come the independent monitor stands up to 34" for when I eventually upgrade my monitors. Next, I'll be adding a bookshelf to finally have all my books in my home office in one location (instead of spreading out everywhere throughout my little dungeon office). Your studio is far more advanced than mine but it gave me some really great ideas. Thanks, Sean for all your help over the years! Your channel is my go-to for everything from Studio gear to which is the best lav mic to purchase.
Thank you Think Media for your work! I'm a pastor and I had the idea to start up my own UA-cam channel last year during the pandemic. Today I posted my first video on Path of Prophecy. I keep a list of your 5 Secrets to Getting 1,000 Subscribers and 5 Mistakes UA-cam Creators Make That Cause Them to Fail. Thanks again for your work! Your work has been an inspiration to me!!!
the $20K gif was spot on. it looks like its worth it though, certainly seems like it'll eventually pay for itself with this top tier content. keep up the great work!
Thanks for reminding me about this video earlier in your live stream, I think I watched it years ago but it was a nice refresher now that I'm futher in my journey. The last few months I've been building out my home office/studio along with a portable video podcasting setup. Right now I've got elgato stands, prompter, streamdeck and capture card, Sony A7C is main camera, and I'm looking at adding ZV-E10s for alternates angles along with a ATEM Mini. For audio I use Shure Mic on elgato low profile arm connected to Rodecaster Pro II, when filming outside the office I use Rode Wireless GO (original version), for lighting I went with Amaran but I also have some elgato keylights. I'm very happy with where I'm at with it currently, I just kept reinvesting money I made from my videos and affiliate links back into getting better equipment and paying editors.
Now this is a great setup, it make be expensive to most but when you take your time and invest in the right gear it can be so worth it. I know you must've been a skater with that balance board flip Sean lool.
That Herman Miller chair is money well spent. You don't see anybody batting an eye over a mechanic spending thousands of dollars on their tools why should you be any different when one of your primary tools is a chair that offers comfort for long days and adjustability.
Super cool setup. I'm in the midst of this project myself. I'm more of an editor, so I have a smaller 3rd touchscreen monitor below my two 32's just to spread Premiere out a little more. I definitely got some great ideas from your flawless video!! Thanks for all your hard work.
Hey Sean Cannell Congratulations to you and your Think Media team. Wow this is an amazing studio. I was at Your tutorial on cameras , learnt a lot and thank you so much for the work that you are doing. Again thank you for sharing 👍
I like your channel, so much great info over the years, thank you, and well done on your success. I recommend a Vertical Mouse , so much better for your wrist/arm. I think you would benefit from a second Streamdeck XL , and an overhead camera pointing at the desktop, as well as a maybe a Loupedeck Live or a Midi controller with a dials/knobs that you can use when you need dials eg when tweaking effects in audio/video/image software
This is a great video! I JUST finished my dream writing/youtube editing office cabin. I'm just getting my lights and computer equipment installed. I dont foresee as advanced as a setup as you have, I need mine to retain a glam cabin feel 😂, but I do have a pull down green screen and dual purpose lighting. Plus mine will run off solar power eventually 😁. Love your setup and I'll be backhoe snag some of your equipment links 😉
I was a pretty big fan of your previous backdrop (with the books and posters). Felt a little more personable. But I know it was your backdrop for several years and it’s good to reinvent every once in a while.
One I idea I was going to use was a pull down green screen right behind me. I can either use my bookshelves as the background or the green screen of whatever I want 😄
For a stream deck alternative, Logitech gaming series keyboard have pretty powerful and configurable macro buttons driven by the logitech G hub software, it should be more than enough for most people. If logitech reads this, please just make those buttons proper LED and you'll cruch the market once again.
Great job on the mis-spelling of "setup" in the Thumbnail. It definitely grabbed my attention. Intentional or not, it made me stay longer on the channel by writing this comment.
Hey Sean . Cool video. Just a piece of advice the Hue lights on your face will look really dodgy on camera, possibly flicker and give your face a weird hue look. I'd stick with the Elgato because they have a good CRI and refresh rate for filming. Cheers. :)
That is a lovely setup Sean. I have a similar budget setup to yours (probably as I dont have that chair (yet)) I run a Zoom L8 for my audio and there is a very easy PFL for your voice for playback. Its the only change I would make to what you have. Next week a pre built i9 RTX beast arrives for video editing and I grow my channel and abilities. I run an LG curved 34" monitor for editing with a second 26" screen next to it. Stream Deck with lots and lots of video clips loaded for my meditation lives streams (Cant fluff your lines then) Behringer speakers floating above the main monitor, Sony ZV1 on a boom stand. Rode Podmic - after many different mics to find one that suits my voice. Philips Hue lighting as well with a photographers light umbrella to throw light on to me. The back ground wall is sound tiles with RBG LEDs embedded in them but I am swapping to white and blue tiles this week for better lighting, In total , abought $4000 so far - all paid for with revenue from my 2 year old podcast. Keep up the great work, you are part of my success.
We have a very similar setup, you just have a few more of your cameras setup. Hmm do I setup my FS7 for another angle lol..... Now to start filming with it.
Hey Shawn! Great job on your setup 👏 Your decision to spend a little extra with the Elgato lights is completely understood here...I went all Razer with my components, as the quality was decent, but more importantly...all my peripherals play nice together! While there are some downsides (including cost), for me the value was in the simplicity. Cheers on a fantastic setup 🍻
This is great! Very nice! I constructed a studio and plan on doing a video on it, but now after seeing this studio I just might not do it, mine can't compare, but afterall Think Media are Pros, so sorry, can't compete with you guys, I can only learn. Thanks for the great tips, watchi your videos every chance and use a lot of your tips! Thanks for another great video!
Okay the meme at 12:08 really cracked me up 😅. Lets remember that Sean has been building his business to be able to invest into this studio for yearssss. So remember not to compare "Your beginning to somebody else's end."
Hey Sean! I also live stream and take zoom calls through the day... so I purchased the rodecaster pro as well as the audient ID14... but how do you geit it to function properly with your Pc, rodecaster & speakers? 🤔

This is a dream worth fighting for, I love it
Yes but how can we setup it
Yes, it is well done and admirable. Definitely something to aim for; the monitors and the lighting are high points for me. As to the various tech idk much about it but it seems very well thought out and effective.
Honestly, it’s Amazing….
Awsume setup, me like it =)
Shout out to everyone doing the best they can, with what they have, where they are.
Thank you so much..you are so sweet!
Right??

I was interested in the clock you had
Amazing battle station!!! So clean.
I can’t stress enough the importance of having a good chair. I build every workstation around the chair. 😀
💯
Thank you! You have my dream UA-cam live studio! You deserve it because you have worked so hard! May God keeps blessing you ☺️
Thanks a million for sharing the great secrets of combining different devices.
Happy to help!
That clock is dope
Where do you find that clock?
Goals. That is a GREAT battle-station!!!
Wow, my husband is a gamer but I didn't know you can use it to do streaming. I'm about to get hubby to build me one like he has, thanks for this video
Shoutout to the editor, Kyle. Those little additions he made to the video were hilarious!
I work from home so I have spent money on some of the same equipment you showcase. Because it is also for work I felt a bit better about the cost. The one thing you have that I would like the get is the sit/stand desk, super cool.
Sean! Your Studio is DOPE, Congratulations! Yeah!
LOVED the Trailer Park Boys shot near the end. LOL Great tour of the studio too!
Dream workplace....!! I need to start now. This is one of my goals!!
I need this. Simple and productive.

You can actually raise the base of the Logitech Ergo K860 at two different heights so your wrists are higher.

Just a note I've seen from other buyers from NZXT, check in your BIOS that XMP profile is selected for your RAM to run at the optimal speed.
Your productivity tips are the best you are a godsend thank you
Setup spelling is wrong in the thumbnail. Please check 👍
I need that 💜

I would love and watch til the end the step by step hook up of everything you use to make it work. Nice desk station though
It’s honestly took DAYS to dial it all in

Love the battle station. The ultimate headquarters for creators.
Awesome setup Sean! Desk setups are the best, building it to your personal preferences really helps productivity!
You got it!!! Keep crushing it!
Exceptional work of art! Wish I had that when the pandemic started
wow! wow! a fantastic studio mate
You can activate the mix-minus on the rodecaster pro so you will not hear your voice in the speaker (need to be plug in the #2 headphone jack)
Wonderful and every organization is excellent. Good luck. This is my dream studio❤❤✔
I LOVE ERGONOMIC KEYBOARDS.
There is something about a super clean setup😍 absolute dream
Nice lights u have and i love the Keyboard
Good morning Sean! Can’t wait to get my space set up!
That setup looks just amazing. Something I'm definitely eager to work for. Thanks for sharing.
Now this is a great setup, it make be expensive to most but when you take your time and invest in the right gear it can be so worth it. I know you must've been a skater with that balance board flip Sean lool.
I think the office looks great. The price made sense lol it’s a dream office so the dream was achieved. It gave me ideas. Great video
Welcome to Seattle my man.
That Herman Miller chair is money well spent. You don't see anybody batting an eye over a mechanic spending thousands of dollars on their tools why should you be any different when one of your primary tools is a chair that offers comfort for long days and adjustability.
I snagged a few used ones from my husband's work they were throwing out... perfect chairs!

I only hope I can get there one day! This is astounding!
You will! Just keep chasing your dreams and crushing your goals!!

I love your setup, definitely something to aspire to! The sound is amazing. Did you have to address any sound deadening issues in the room?
Nice! You'd never know this is in a bedroom. All pro 👍
one thing i’d change is simply giving me that setup 🤝
