Most informative video I’ve seen yet. Just purchased one Mevo and will add an iPhone for a different angle to record and stream my daughter for her Facebook page and UA-cam page to document her journey in travel softball for later on for college recruitment. This video has been a huge help and will do my first recording/live stream this weekend. Can’t thank you enough.
Hi Caleb, welcome back. Missed you! Very interesting product. I'm not into live stream but for those who are or are thinking of it it looks a very useful set of kit. An auto switching facility, or better movement detection, in the app would extend it's live stream use even further. Maybe for wild life observation for example.
Yeah, that's a good idea that they could potentially add to the software. Right now you can have it auto-change angles after a certain duration, but it isn't based on movement.
Thank you for sharing this in depth breakdown. You answered so many of my questions on how the 3 Cam option could be used for a podcast and how easy/scalable this all is. I've been looking for a reasonable priced way to shoot a 3 Cam Video Podcast with cameras that don't have recording limits and that would be fairly simple to use. The Mevos are now on my list...
Thanks Caleb....this was really helpful as my church is looking at simple solutions to livestream our Facebook Live service. We've used a J5 camera on a microphone stand or an Iphone for the past 4 years, and hoping to find a low-cost solution for our next steps.
@CalebWojcik Does it remember rmtp address always on bootup? Till example billiard matches, when ever there is match its bootet up and starts streaming rmtp?
Great video I checked this out several months ago prior to purchasing the Mevo multicam just recently. Question I have a slight (Green) line along the border that show on two of my cameras. It show on the app display as well as in my local recording. Have you seen this or is it something in the settings I haven't done yet? Thanks for your response
this is a great walkthrough. could the cameras record in a higher resolution than what is streamed? for example if I want to stream in 720p and record the hi-res files in 1080 for future editing edit: nevermind this is at 11:01 😂
Hi Caleb, this was so helpful bro. Hey, if I don’t want to live stream my videos, could I just record all my videos onto my SD Cards and then just upload and edit them in my video editing software? Are there SD cards that can store up a 2hr podcast video?
Knowing Logitech these are extremely expensive, not even 4K . The following is a single review I found on Amazon: Jerry Hafner 1.0 out of 5 stars Defective batteries defeat the purpose Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on November 2, 2022 Verified Purchase We set these up a couple weeks after receiving them and tests were alright. Ten days later we attempted to put them to work. With full charge, 5 of 6 units run 2.2 to 2.6 hours, when the seeker boasts 6 hours. Contacted seller with ZERO response. 3 people found this helpful
I haven’t had those battery problems, but if possible I would always run these plugged in to wall power or at least with a battery bank just in case. So I wouldn’t have to worry about it.
Great video! A question: would this cameras be able to live stream locally to, let's say, an android tv or Amazon FireTv via RTSP or sometning alike? I need to create a "local conference" from one small room to another big room 10mt (2 walls) far... many thanks in advance!
Thanks for this video, Caleb! I wonder if it’s possible to add a lens mod to this like you could get for mobile devices. These guys have been around for awhile but the fixed lens has always been a no-go for me but adding a lens mod would make sense
Great presentation. I have been looking at these and comparing to purchasing something like a entry iPhone with Switcher Studio. What if I would like to invite someone with a remote camera into the stream? Also, would you know if this works with LinkedIn?
Hey Caleb, we are thinking to mount the cameras on a rover and drive into a rotor blade of a wind turbine for inspection purpose. Can you tell how the maximum distance is between the cameras and the tablet? We will probably have no wifi there. Do you think it is possible?
From my test about 100 feet is where you start to have some connection issues. It can make its own network, but if you want to stream, he will need a mobile hotspot if there is not Wi-Fi.
I notice there is a rather hefty delay from Live-view to tablet, how will this be in production? And, my biggest concern is if there is any lag/de-sync between the audio?
It is about a second maybe? But it is just in the live previews. If you watch what happens live and switch the angles accordingly there isn’t a delay to what is shown live. I didn’t have any desync issues testing livestreams or recordings.
Thank you! And yeah, I think $1,000 is actually a really fair price considering it is 3 cameras that stream wirelessly, the app that runs it is free, you have a ton of options for how to upgrade the audio, etc.
Hi Caleb, thank you for this very informative video. I currently have one mevo start and am thinking of upgrading into a multicam. Question, can I use muticam app without necessarily subscribing to a monthly £19 something?
Wow i thought of this idea years ago. I thought apple should of made this a long time ago a multi camera home studio movie kit for the iPad to go along with i movie.
Best review I have seen on this setup up yet! I still have 2 questions as Im looking to get these for live streaming at our sporting events 1- Does the app have the ability to have 2 cameras on display at once in a true split 50/50 split screen? 2- We run out events through an app that has "widgets" for on screen scoring and sponsors. Does the app allow URLs or browser links to be added for overlays?
Hi Caleb I have a couple of shure sm7b microphones are they compatible with these cameras and do you think the post production of using these cameras would be easy ? I run a podcast and was looking to use these but didn't know if they were best for what I was trying to accomplish .
Hey there! SM7Bs could totally work with these. Just need to make sure you can run the proper audio cable from whatever you have those mics plugged in to. Watch my other video about how to use these cameras for a podcast for even more detail. ua-cam.com/video/X4YqX-MXsqA/v-deo.html&ab_channel=CalebWojcik
They removed that. “To live stream, you need to have no live streaming restrictions in the past 90 days and you need to verify your channel.” More info here - support.google.com/youtube/answer/2474026
Hello, I just bought my Mevo multicam to do live on all my platforms at the same time, but I was surprised that the cameras do not have two of them integrated, TikTok and Instagram, and I need to stream on those as well along with Facebook and UA-cam . Could you please tell me how to add tiktok and Instagram, please I hope you answer me, thank you.

Your video quality is out of this world! The audio is perfect. Good work! Good review. Thanks!

Awesome Evan, they are really easy to set up and use so once you get your high quality audio working properly you’re ready to rock.
would you use this for a 2 interview video podcast?

Thank you. Will be looking into getting this set up
Wow, this setup is a game changer! This is going on my Christmas list. Great video!
Thank you for this share.
What camera are you using for this review?
Canon C70. All gear in the description.

I'd contact Logitech directly to see if it is fixable or replaceable.
Can you stream to multiple platforms at a same time?

Yes. You can record locally to micro sd cards. And yes, you’ll want to buy large ones. Like 256gb or more.

I haven't tried that, but it could work in theory if the sizing of the lens didn't add a vignette or mess with focus at all. Great idea!
Is there a way of getting the program output on an additional monitor?

very interesting product ... great review Caleb!!
Thanks Paul!
It is possible to use with OBS ?

I need this but as PTZ cameras with 30x zoom.
Thanks for this - would love to know if you can get that "depth of field" effect you get when using a digital SLR?
Yes you can if you place the cameras close to your subject.
Hi Caleb, thank you for this very informative video. I currently have one mevo start and am thinking of upgrading into a multicam. Question, can I use muticam app without necessarily subscribing to a monthly £19 something?
Pretty sure all the apps are free.
Thank YOU so much. This is EXACTLY what I needed
You're so welcome!
Wow i thought of this idea years ago. I thought apple should of made this a long time ago a multi camera home studio movie kit for the iPad to go along with i movie.
21:58 - I'm concerned you don't have enough monitors, Caleb. ;)
I was waiting for this comment. 💀
Great video !
can you record external device attached to the tablet ?
I’m not exactly sure what you mean. If you want external audio, attach it to the audio Jack on the camera.
@@CalebWojcik sorry auto incorrect changed things. Can you record the video to an external ssd/nvme attached to an IOS device ?
Hey! I'm curious if anyone has experience in using an Ipad in this case but recording externally outside of SD cards
wow! thanks for this

Shame it doesn't have a zoom button on it , would of been really useful even if it was on top of the device

how about auto-focus?
Autofocus is on my default, yes.
Can you still only easily livestream to UA-cam If you have 1000 subscribers?
They removed that. “To live stream, you need to have no live streaming restrictions in the past 90 days and you need to verify your channel.”

@@CalebWojcik thanks!
Expensive! Missing many features.
Amazing
Waiting for 60fpm
I'm pretty certain it can handle 60 frames per minute with no problems, lol 😅
Go green
Way to expensive and not even 4k
It takes a lot of bandwidth to stream in 4K. So that’s why most cameras like this and WebCams don’t offer 4K.
"on a budget"
I’d consider 3 cameras for $1,000 “on a budget”, but that’s just me.
@@CalebWojcik i can agree. 3 for 1 grand is budget vs 1 unit for grand. Lol
