- This is Iceland's first 4K 24/7 live stream showing the lava erupting from a volcanic crater near the town of Grindavik Iceland. This eruption began on March 16, 2024.
Weather permitting, a tour of the area will run every 20 minutes.
This camera is situated on the southern tip of Þorbjörn. Þorbjörn is a 243 m high volcanic mountain next to the town of Grindavík. The camera is usually pointed Northeast at the erupting volcano but may occasionally pan north or south to observe other features of the area. It is about 2km away from the erupting volcano.

Wow
She’s looking beautiful 😊
The big question- is the Magma chamber still filling? This is so beautiful.
Apparently yes it is. Land rise is still occurring in the area, at the same rate measu before the prior eruptions/intrusions. This means that we may see another event soon
Yes uplift going on=magma on the move
Seems fuller than yesterday and more volatile
Quietened down a lot and looks like its on the way out.Magma still on the move so may liven or we will have another fissure event somewhere probably
Good morning
