These videos are exactly why I don't get shit done on Saturday afternoon... I've seen ZC a few times live, I LOVE seeing Slaughter play live because they are always SO professional, but this guy alone is worth the price of admission... And then, there's Mark, and Dana - GREAT songwriting, GREAT musicians.
He's actually on time all the time he's a human Metrodome he's so fast that's some of the people can't see that he's holding the beat you got to listen this guy is f******incredible. Is he the greatest drummer of all time, no, who is but there's no one out there like him what does what he does if he could not keep time doing what he does then I would not respect it but the fact that he does what he does and keeps time f****** respect it.
I saw him at a M3 at MERRIWEATHER POST playing with Vince Neil...he absolutely killed it..such an epic showman and damn fine drummer. everybody fully enjoyed him running all over the place and playing hard
Some people I just don't think understand actually how much skill is involved here ...he's honestly Amazeing some ppl say to flashy ...I say its hard rock how its suppose to be....I seen him play in a band in Charlotte nc called peralta and he played the same then ....and that was prolly somewhere around 1991 or so...
It's technical he's super flashy, Showboat, hot-dogging way people can't comprehend but if you really listen and look that's some of the best videos of him this guy is on point. No one out there has this exhausting stanima Style it's all its own this guy is f****** awesome and I'm sick about the negative comment about him. There were other credible respected drummers out there who heard all the Bad talk and good, then they went and seen him and their minds were changed even Portnoy gave him the thumbs up.
Listen to this while not looking at the video. He hamfists his way through it. I love his showmanship but it sounds terrible. He's a much better drummer technically than this video portrays.

It's like people are jealous that he's doing all this and making it look easy people cannot accept that they think that you have to be serious and control yourself because it's such a hard job to drum but this guy debunks all that s***and others are mad because they cant do it he's making all the drummers before him not look bad but telling them why couldn't you do this with your drumming add some entertainment

Back in the day flash was big I think Neil Peart probably put that out there our drummer was the same way which was cool we could do a drum solo forever and then we just hang out in the back come out eventually Chris Shackelford he was an amazing drummer friends with Scott Travis from Virginia Beach that's where we lived at Shaq amazing drummer he had some incredible giant drum set back then the last time I played with them he had like a five piece of made it sound like the giant thing
