I can appreciate what he does, but it reminds me of that wedding band drummer. Classic cases of "hey everybody look at me" which is ok when appropriate, but in a band, you are just a part of the show. Maybe Vince Neil hired him to distract from his singing? Just my 2 cents....

As a drummer I wished he paid more attention to his sloppy drumming and terrible sounding drums , especially his tinny sounding cymbals . I am a musician not a circus clown , to me his performance is a distraction from the music , there is nothing musical about his performance . Its ok to be a showman , but with taste and style . Think Dino Danelli , Carmine Appice , Keith Moon , Tommy Aldridge all great showman , with taste , but still very musical . They are not constantly throwing sticks up , kicking the cymbals . If you did a trick once and the crowd got excited , don't keep doing it , it becomes not as special. Let the audience see your trick once and it will stick in their memory, wondering and wanting to see it again. Good example is Michael Jackson did the moon walk once every performance , the audience was breathless wondering what they just saw . He did not do the moon walk over and over again it would have lost the excitement . That is what Zoltan needs to learn , don't shoot your load every second of your performance show a trick and let the audience wonder if you do it again , don't and they will always want to see you again .
