Actually, from what I’ve heard from those who know him, he’s a clean-living, very sober Christian and incredibly nice guy. I’m the exact opposite drummer, no show and all sound, but his sound is great also. Turn your head away from the video and listen, he’s hitting every note on point.
@josephwhite3401 not saying he is a bad guy but honestly the flash does impair the sound and precision of parts he is covering. He is too much show off not enough good feel imo. As a drummer this does not impress me at all.
I could have swore I saw him get up & make a sandwich, take a few bites and then go right back into a double stick twirl without missing a beat, this guy is freaking amazing.
Take away all of the antics and he is nothing special sorry. Plays very marginal grooves. You would never even notice him otherwise. All sizzle and no steak.

Stick tricks are nice , but how about some feel. This performance leaves me cold. He's got talent,but playing what's right for the song is more important than trying to cram in every stick trick possible.
Ray Barclay---there are many drummers out there your really great outstanding drummers your little Charlie Watts types timekeepers this guy is unique who do you know who can do all that and still keep in time and not miss a Beat what's wrong with someone being different this guy is outstanding take your head out of your ass and wake the fuck up self-appointed critic.
