In my use case, I want the NiMH battery. My intention is to hand it to my kid and teach him how to charge his own battery and install it in the truck. I have a large collection of LiPo batteries, but they are too dangerous to hand over to a kid with no supervision.
I see, you're wanting the NiMH battery for safety and ease of use. That's a great option! There are smart lipo battery options now from Spektrum, Traxxas, and Gens Ace. 1-button press safe charging
For me, Gorgon comes out the best out of these 3. He seems to be the most versatile. But Fury with 3s could not be embarrassed either. Everyone can choose according to their taste.
Traxxas should definitely take note. They did update the slash, it now comes with the extreme HD kit stock, but the price hasn’t lowered at all. They also don’t offer a no battery version of the slash. I think at minimum if they won’t lower the price a no battery version should be available.
Nice good to see ya loaded up the ebike for the trip. It’s kind of funny because most of us have a bunch of different RC’s & much more powerful bashers but a lot of times we get RC’s like these because they are fun & easy to upgrade without spending a lot & you can’t beat that. I’m also not a fan of 2 wheel drive & don’t own one so this will be a first if a do get one it’ll probably be the Senton but the Green Gorgon keeps calling me name. Thanks for the look at them this video not only helps beginners but anyone just interested in picking up one just for fun. Thanks
Nice cars look all good I got the older vorteks might have to get the new one arrma the first big brand I got into there really good cars been getting into traxxas and noticed they keep there stuff around for along time before discontinuing stuff especially when ya get into the bigger cars like the 8s arrmas if they ever decide to discontinue those id probly fade away from them....

Just got the Arrma Vorteks 550 2WD. Your previous review made me decide to get the Vorteks as an affordable entry level rc.
Arrmma are killing with the entry level vehicles, would definitely help get more people into the hobby
So true. This is a cool chassis. And so affordable.
The one thing they missed out on is offering an brushless version of each vehicle! I would gladly put out more cash for a brushless system in them.
The fury just got delivered to my door, I can't wait to clock out of work and go home!

this is actually a good set for someone getting into rc.
I love my Gorgon, and so do my neighbors dogs😋
Gorgon is the most smile/bark for the buck

Hey pare how did you run 3s on stock brushed motor Iam trying to do the same what Esc did u use
Gorgon with an arrma Vendetta combo in it with a 15t is perfection on 2s and insanity on 3s.

Honestly, once you get onto dirt/gravel the speed of something like 50-60mph isn’t very usable. You want 4wd and good punch.
Now they need entry level 4wd ones! And I’d gladly pay more for it!
Mojave and Typhon they have already in 4wd.
Senton blx 4x4
No bad choice with Arrma, I still play with my Voltage it's still on the original motor 😊
Do the differentials need more grease?
I’m gonna go with a vortex they just seem like they have better handling and maybe try castle creations motors they have longer motor cans.
Fury for me as wellalthough I currently have a losi 😆

Exactly. The e-cargo bike takes me right to the crawl or bash spot. So convenient and get sthe exercise in.
The Gorgon is awesome and will be even better when I upgrade mine to brushless
You and razor r c love this track
I actually hate it, and it's the best to beat up the track as the bmxers build it up.
But.... it's all we have close by.

That would be cool. This new chassis is worth a try for sure. So balanced for 2wd
Does the Vorteks need a wheelie bar on 3s after you switch over to Brushless?
It can't even run on 3s
@billzkustomz sorry, I meant after you switched up everything so as it can run 3s, will it need a wheelie bar?
@@XtrmTJ97 provably not with the stock brushed motor
It doesn't seem to need a wheelie bar
