So glad for you buddy. I was working on mine for 19 years. Until I decided to take it to professional because I am already in my mid 40 and running out of time to enjoy it. But you are young enough to keep working on them. Good luck and keep up the good work on the E30’s
Thanks man! That's awesome you have had the car for so long! They are awesome cars! I love working on them, but we will get this thing back on the road! It hasn't been registered since 2008😂😬
Brother again continued blessings to you. I think its so cool you have both sedan abd coupe versions of the e30. It gives you first hand experience and appreciation for vehicles in their respected platforms. Peace, Love and Light 🙌🏽🙏🏽
It's really cool to have both the coupe and sedan! I am really thankful to save this car and get some actual attention to this e30 and keep them alive! Thank you for the support and for the kind words!🤟🏻
dont believe the miles, those odometers are known for the little gears on the back to brake and they stop counting, my e30 has somethinf like 70k miles on the clock lol
I'll definitely make sure that it's still counting as I drive the car, the only reason why I do believe the miles is because the last time it was registered was in 2008, I believe the owner passed away then the car sat then went to auction, but I will definitely pay attention to the odometer when I drive next!
Hahaha I think my current plan is to restore it, do a couple mods, I have a 4.10 LSD from my e30 and then I thought about a supercharged m42 once the red e30 is done! But we will definitely see how everything plays out!
@@sopht.1349 for sure, I know there are a lot of pipes under the intake that can cause a vacuum leak! Hopefully it's a simple fix, idling issues are always obnoxious

i hope your channel grows well with the content!
Thanks man! I think it's always good to keep new cars and keep things fresh!
Bavarian Motor Wizard!
Hahaha thanks man! The e30s make sense to me😂
Another project car I feel you😅
Hahaha this one will be a lot more simple😂 no engine swaps
@@ProjectRacecar2 never say its going to be simple dont jinx yourself😂
new plugs for sure, new oil, new gas filter, fresh gas,
Definitely, the new gas is going to help out a ton as well! Who knows how old the fluids are since it hasn't been on the road since 2008!
Maybe keep the factory engine?
I'm not sure if I ever mentioned an engine swap, the goal was always to fix and flip the car, no engine swaps for this one

Curious how much you pick it up for?!
I ended up picking it up for 4k which isn't terrible, I wanted to pay less for it but I knew this one would be easy to get started and driving!
Put some gas cleaner in it .. fuel lines might be clug up
I forget that you NAbros have the M42 in your 318i while the rest of us make do with it's SOHC big brother. I cri everytiem😭
The m42 is such a sick engine, my red 318is had 285,000 miles/ 460,000 km on it when I pulled the engine they are bulletproof
@@ProjectRacecar2 The M40's quite a fighter as well. I suppose it's just normal to want what you don't have
Turbo m42? Bottom end is already forged.

dude i’m having this issue with mine but it’s a 325es it idles real bad
It could be a vacuum leak or the idle control valve is known to cause issues
@@ProjectRacecar2 most likely imma see if i can get hold on a vacuum tester soon

Kiss your mental health and bank account goodbye
Hahaha it's actually been a pretty simple project so far, but true on the bank account😂
